When it comes to a baby's first toys, you want to start with the basics. This shape-sorting toy is perfect for tiny hands and has many uses too, which will help the baby's development well into their toddler and preschool years. I purchased this to use with young students to reinforce the learning of shapes, colors and pairs. It comes with 5 pairs of shapes (10 blocks in all) and a case with a removable lid with the corresponding shape cutouts. The lid is removable so you can easily lift it and take the blocks out again and the shapes drop perfectly into each hole. This is more than just a shape sorter though. You can have the child stack the blocks, count, create simple patterns, etc.. It's especially helpful for developing fine motor skills as the child learns to grasp and fit the shape into the slot. At the starting recommended age of 6 months, the child will need some assistance and guidance, but they'll be intrigued by the bright colors. As they grow, the child is better able to handle the blocks on their own, making for lots of fun play time. Some of my preschool students have used the blocks to trace shapes for art projects too. It's a versatile toy that grows along with them. I recommend every parent get this for their little ones. -

This bronzer is gorgeous! It has a marbled design with bronze, white, gold and pink swirls and when blended together, it creates the perfect glow on your skin. My skin is very fair and I was initially afraid this would make me look too orange, but on the contrary. It gives me that sun-kissed look and it compliments my skin tone very well. I do find it to be buildable as well, so it could work on many skin tones, in my opinion. The shimmer isn't overpowering and since it's a baked formula, it won't be powdery and will last a long time. I've been using it for quite a while and still haven't hit pan. The packaging is also very beautiful. It is rather expensive though for a bronzer (in the $30 range), but so worth the money spent. -

I received this product as a gift. It's a collection of lipsticks and glosses which are in pots rather than in a tube. The kit comes with a tiny lip brush and you have six shades in all. Most of them are nude shades but you do get one red shade which is a mix between a gloss and lipstick, therefore it's a subtle red. Most of the shades are shimmery and some are just meant to add shimmer to your lips and don't really give you that much color. I really like the non-shimmery nude shades. They're creamy and compliment my skin tone very well. I did find the shimmery shades to be a little sticky on the lips. This makes for a good travelling kit and I recommend using the lip brush and not your finger to apply the product. However, I still prefer using a regular tube of lipstick over a lip palette like this. With that being said, I'm still glad I got to try it out and the shades are definitely wearable. I'm not sure if this is still on the market, as I received it a while ago, but I have seen it available on Ebay. -

These are the best frozen dumplings/potstickers I've ever tried! They are so easy to prepare and they hold up their shape when cooking. The size of each dumpling is also very generous, therefore they are very filling which means you can get more portions out of the bag. It's a 1.91 kg bag, so you get good value for your money. I purchased them at Costco when they were on sale. The dumpling flavour is chicken and vegetables. The only vegetables I could detect were chives (which is really an herb) and they are mixed in with the ground chicken. They have an umami flavour and they also come with a dipping sauce which is soy based. They are also very juicy when you bite into them and so addictive. I really had to refrain myself from eating more and more. I've cooked these both as a wonton/dumpling soup and steamed/fried in a pan as potstickers. Both ways turned out delicious. Highly recommended!! -

These reusable stencils are meant to be placed over your eyebrows to then help guide you to fill them in and create the desired shape. The set comes with 4 stencils which are the soft arch, structured arch, full arch and the curved arch. Apart from the structured arch which is more straight and angled, the rest look very similar to each other. They are more curved. Unfortunately, none of the shapes suited my facial features. I also found the cut-out to be too long and when I finished filling in the space, it did not suit my face at all. If you're into the very bold brow, then maybe you might like these. Therefore, they are, like I said, just a guide and you may need to adjust where you fill in. The stencil does not have any adhesive on it so you have to hold it in place, which can get tricky if you're not steady. It takes a bit of practice to end up with even looking eyebrows. Personally, I found it to be too much of a hassle and would rather just fill them in free hand. -

I believe this is the first product I've come across that combines a concealer with an eye cream. As an eye cream, it is very moisturizing and it really helps hydrate my undereye area and lids which are usually on the dry side. This make for an easier makeup application afterwards. The cream absorbs easily into the skin and I only use a small amount, which is all you really need. My skin looked more healthy and plump after using this. For obvious reasons, I've only used this during the day, not as a nighttime cream because of the concealer added to it. The concealer won't give you the best of coverage, so if you have dark undereye circles, it won't work miracles. However, I found it created a good base to layer another concealer on top as it does start to hide some of the darkness. It's basically like a tinted moisturizer, so you can't expect the concealer to be heavy duty. I still thought it was a good product though. It's definitely good for those days where you really don't want to wear a lot of makeup but just need a slight touch up. The color also matched my skin tone and it did not oxidize. Good product! -

This mask is meant for hair that is very dry, so if you have heat damaged or very frizzy hair, this may be good for you. The consistency is that of a thick cream, almost like pudding, so it doesn't feel greasy to the touch. However, if your hair is thin or fine, this can weigh it down somewhat. I do have to say, my hair did feel soft after using it. I tried applying it both as a hair mask, leaving it on for about 1 hour, as well as a conditioner which I rinsed off soon after shampooing. For my hair, I like it better as a conditioner, however, I still had frizz after using the product. I really bought this primarily because of the unique banana scent, which I thought would smell very sweet, like a banana popsicle. Although you can tell it is banana-scented, it smells too artificial to me and it's something I don't want lingering in my hair. Another downside is that my container didn't have any instructions on how to apply the product, so if a customer isn't aware of how to use a hair mask, it may not be put on correctly. My container was blue, but I'm noticing that there is now an orange one as well, which may have been updated with the info. I would make sure to check to see if they have included instructions. I did like that you get 500ml of product, which will last quite a while, however, I won't be repurchasing it again when I'm through with it. There are better masks for my hair type out there. -

I usually use this cookware for roasting turkey or pot roast and the meat turns out so tender, mainly because both the lid and shape of the pan help contain the heat and moisture. Great for braising too. It's an essential piece to have in the kitchen and for any home cook. Makes a great gift that will last for such a long time, so you really get your money's worth. -

The reason I purchased this eye shadow palette was because it was very inexpensive, had lots of shades and they were all wearable colours, which I felt would be great for everyday wear. The case itself is pretty sturdy and it comes with 4 sponge-tip applicators, which I don't use. I prefer my own brushes, however, if you're travelling, these still could come in handy. The consistency is average. It's a little on the powdery/chalky side but it still applies pretty well, without too much fallout. The pigmentation is decent, although some of the darker shades are more pigmented than some of the lighter ones. You also have a good range of highlighting and contouring shades. I do think it's a great palette for beginners and at the price you're paying, it won't break the bank if you do decide it's not working for you. I purchased mine for about 3 dollars, which is a real bargain. I do find myself reaching for some shades in this palette that I don't have anywhere else in my collection, therefore it's a nice addition that serves it's purpose. -

I received this product to try for free. My guilty pleasure when snacking has always been chips/salty snacks, which is why I was excited to try Pirate's Booty rice and corn puffs in the flavour, Aged White Cheddar. The puffs are baked, not fried, which is more health friendly and they are made with real, simple ingredients. Therefore, no artificial flavours or preservatives and they are gluten free, as well. The bite sized puffs just melt in your mouth and feel as light as air. It's really easy to get addicted to. The flavour of the cheese is present, but it's more on the subtle side. I would have liked it to be more pronounced, though. I did, however, appreciate that you get a good amount for each individual portion (28g). It may seem like a small number, but there are so many pieces in the bag to keep you satisfied. Not too messy either. I would consider purchasing this in the future and I do hope to try other flavours as well. -
