I received the L'Oreal Professionel Intense Repair Shampoo and Masque courtesy of Chickadvisor, to try out and review. I've been using these two products for about a week and have noticed a considerable difference in my hair. It feels softer, shinier and more manageable. I've also had an increase in volume which is quite impressive since my shampoos and conditioners usually leave my hair looking flat by the end of the day. Instead, with the L'Oreal duo, the volume was still there 2 days later! It was also free of tangles, which if you have long hair, you know what a nightmare that can be!
The shampoo lathered really well and I didn't need to use a lot of it, therefore although the bottle seems small, it is going to last me a while. The same is true for the masque. Considering the high end price for these products (in the $20-$30 range), the fact that you can use it sparingly is a great factor. They also have a very nice scent which does linger on your hair when it's dry, but that does seem to disappear by the next day. Also, my hair did not feel heavy or weighed down by the hair masque and it didn't leave my roots feeling greasy. I have used it according to the 2-3 minute recommendation, as stated on the packaging, but I am sure you can get an even better hydrating result for your hair if you leave it on overnight.
The only downside, apart from the steep price, is that these products do contain chemical ingredients such as sodium lauryl sulfate and parabens which can be harmful to our health. It also contains dimethicone which acts as a silicone that coats your hair, therefore, I wonder how beneficial these products will be in the long run and if the hydration actually penetrates the hair shaft or whether it is just giving the "appearance" of it on the surface only. It would be a great bonus if they try to come out with something more natural that has the same outcome.
I would consider purchasing these product if the prices were lower. If I would have to choose to get only one of the two products, I would probably get the hair masque since it really hydrates the hair.

I received the Maybelline Baby Lips lip balm in Grape Wine as one of my stocking stuffer gifts this Christmas and was excited to try it out. The packaging is colorful and fun and is the same size as your standard lip balm would be. These are supposed to be tinted lip balms and the shade I got threw me off a little because it is a very dark purple. However, looks can be deceiving as it is very sheer and doesn't go on as pigmented as I thought it would. In this case, I thought it was a good thing because I don't want dark purple lips! Instead, it gave my lips a light berry/wine colored effect. It was a little darker than my actual natural lip color, so I thought it looked like a color I could wear everyday. The balm felt very moisturizing and it continued to hydrate long after I had used it. It also left a slight shine on my lips which I thought was nice. This is also a scented lip balm. Grape Vine smells of sweet grapes, of course! I would definitely consider purchasing the other shades in the collection. At $3.00 each, they are reasonably affordable. -

I purchased three of the Beauty Rush lip glosses by Victoria's Secret since they were having a 3 for $15 dollar deal. The price was very reasonable, so I couldn't skip this offer. I chose three flavors: Juiced Berry (a pink shade), Pinked Lemonade (a berry pink) and Razzleberry (a lavender purple). I like the packaging they come in which is your standard squeeze tube lip gloss. Each of these flavors smelled and tasted good and they left my lips looking shiny. They can be worn alone or over lipstick, but I prefer to wear these on their own since they are rather goopy. The color payoff varies, some being sheer while others are more pigmented with touches of shimmer in them. Since they are sticky, you have to keep in mind that your hair will get stuck on it on a windy day. Other than that, I think it's a pretty good average lipgloss. Not the longest wearing considering how sticky it is, but it does look good on the lips. -

The Nivea "A Kiss of Shimmer" lip balm is unlike your regular chapstick, in that it has a shimmery, slightly pearly finish once applied to your lips. It can look pretty only if you've scrubbed your lips well otherwise, the shimmer can settle in between cracks or dry skin. If you have exfoliated, it gives a nice light pink sheen which can be worn on it's own or with some clear gloss on top. You can also use it on top of a lipstick to lighten or highlight the color. It contains natural ingredients like jojoba oil, shea butter and grapeseed extracts to help moisturize your lips. It did find it to be creamy/silky when I first applied it, but not as moisturizing as I would have liked as time went by. You do need to reapply it. The cost is average, approximately $2-$3 per tube. I do like the pink packaging. It's very girly and feminine looking. -

I bought the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hr blush in the shade Dollface which is a beautiful light pink. It's a shade that will work well for fair to medium skin tones. It's pigmentation is fantastic and the matte finish is smooth and blends very easily in the skin. Sometimes, powder blushes can look a little too powdery on your cheeks, but it's not the case with this one. It contains lots of natural, beneficial ingredients like Vitamins A, E and C as well as the Amazonian clay which is also rich in nutrients. It's also free of parabens and many other harmful chemicals. The color does last all day, so their 12 Hr claim stands true! Since it's super pigmented, you don't need to apply a whole lot, therefore, this blush will last you quite a while, which makes it a great investment. The price is a little high but well worth it! These are definitely worth collecting! -

The Rimmel Cool Matte Mousse 16Hr foundation is one of my favorite that I've ever tried! It comes in a pot and it has a mousse consistency, so it feels very light on your skin. You hardly feel as though you're wearing foundation. It gives my skin a soft matte finish which looks very natural, however, if you were looking for a foundation that leaves a dewy finish, this is not for you. This foundation would probably suit oily skin best, but I have normal to combination skin and it still works well for me. The coverage is great and it leaves my skin looking flawless. It did not look cakey throughout the day and it is long lasting, just as they advertise. It actually does feel cool on your skin when you first apply it. So far, it has not caused any breakouts. I've found that a stippling brush is the best way to apply this foundation. You just tap and swirl it on your skin and it blends easily. The foundation comes in a pot which makes it easy for the stippling brush to pick up product. Excellent product! Worth trying and a definite repurchase for me! -

Curious by Britney Spears is a great perfume to add to your collection. At first I thought it wasn't going to be any good since it was a celebrity endorsed scent, but once I tried it, I realised I was so wrong about it. In fact, it has become one of my favorites! The scent is not too overpowering and smells quite light and fresh with a hint of fruity/floral. It's not too sweet or musky. I've received quite a few compliments when I've worn this by women of various ages, so it can be worn by teenagers to older women alike. It's very wearable for the daytime however I did notice that the scent does wear off after a few hours. I love the shape and color of the bottle as well as the dangling heart charms around the neck of the bottle. It's very feminine and makes for a great display piece on your vanity. The price is very affordable and it can be found in most drugstores. -

I've been using Vaseline Petroleum Jelly for many years now. I keep it on hand to moisturize my elbows, knees and feet. I especially keep it on hand when I have a cold and my nose gets red and dry. I apply a little to the irritated skin and it helps soothe and protect it. I also love it as a lip balm! I apply it overnight and in the morning, my lips are so hydrated and smooth that my lipstick can be applied with ease. It's also great to use when you're coloring your hair. Just rub some Vaseline along your hairline so that the hair dye doesn't bleed onto your skin and stain it.
As you can see, it's a versatile product that doesn't cost much at all for the amount of product you get. I also like that the product will last you an incredibly long time since you only need a tiny amount. Worth repurchasing over and over again!

If you're looking for a luxurious lipstick then the YSL Rouge Pur Couture line is the way to go! I have #7 - Le Fucshia which is a blue toned fucshia, and according to YSL. is the purest, true shade of this color. Not only is the color beautiful, but it helps make your teeth appear whiter. The lipstick itself is very creamy and moisturizing on the lips and it smells good too (a sweet/fruity scent). The color is long lasting and it glides on so smoothly. For this particular shade, once it starts wearing out (which is after a LONG time,) it'll leave a tint of color making it look as though you've applied a lip stain. The lipstick also contains SPF 15 and is free of parabens and other harmful chemicals. The packaging is spectacular! It comes in a sleek gold casing/tube and the lipstick has the YSL inscription on it, making it feel even more special. A great collector's item! You haven't tried a lipstick until you've tried one by YSL! I really think it's of superior quality.
The only thing I could think of that would keep people from purchasing this product is the price. It is quite expensive for a lipstick (approximately $30), however, it makes for a great gift or treat every once in awhile! Worth every penny!!

The E.L.F Healthy Glow Bronzer in Sun Kissed is a great, inexpensive product that will give you the perfect bronzed look all year round. For only $1.00, you get a decent amount of product and you don't need to use a huge amount since the bronzer is very pigmented. I suggest tapping your brush very gently and building the color slowly. The bronzer is on the powdery side once the brush hits the pan, but it blends well on the skin. The color is also very natural and won't leave you looking orange or dirty. It also doesn't leave a load of sparkles all over your face, so you can rest assured that you can also use this to contour as well. I've really enjoyed using this and would repurchase it again in the future. I do wish it was better packaged though, since it's made of cheap plastic that can easily break. Apart from that, this is a pretty good bronzer! -
