As much as I wanted to love the Chi 1" Ceramic Flat Iron, I just couldn't bring myself to write a positive review for it. My hair is naturally straight, however, it does get frizzy and the flat iron is my best friend whenever I style my hair. I also wanted to try curling my hair with this flat iron since the edges are rounded, therefore, I figured it could serve the dual purpose. Here is why I can't bring myself to using this flat iron:
First of all, there is no dial or knob to adjust the temperature of the iron. Instead, there is only an on/off switch, making it very easy for it to burn your hair to a crisp. In fact, this is exactly what it did to my hair. Regardless of having used a heat protectant prior to straightening my hair, and making sure not to spend to much time on one particular strand of hair, my tresses felt like straw after just one use. In terms of straightening, it was effective in giving me the straightest hair ever, but the end result of dry, crispy hair was not worth it. I wouldn't want to know what my hair would look like if I had continued to use it time and time again.
In terms of curling my hair with this iron, I did find that it produced an excellent curl, but at the expense of my poor fingers. The barrel becomes so hot it is almost unbearable to touch, let alone hold the iron properly so that you can actually curl your hair. I had to stop after I had completed only half my hair.
I know many people have hyped this flat iron to the max, but it's just not for me. If they would have put a temperature dial and a protective barrier at the tip in order to hold it safely, then this would have been an excellent hair tool.

Avon Natural Body Nourishing shower gels come in different scents. The ones I've tried are Vanilla and Cucumber Melon and I was satisfied with both scents. The Vanilla has a little sweetness to it, whereas the Cucumber Melon smells fresh and awakening. I like the fact that the bottle has a hook at the top so that you can easily hang it in the shower. The product does lather well and as for moisturizing purposes, they do an average job. Considering the very inexpensive price of this product, I would repurchase it again in the future, however, it really is just an average shower gel...nothing spectacular. -

I am in love with the Korres Lip Butter in Jasmine. It is the best lip balm I have ever tried. My lips have never felt so moisturized before using this and I feel it is definitely worth every penny. I apply this mostly at night and I wake up to the softest lips ever!
The jasmine scent is so delicious, it reminds me of buttery candy, I could almost eat it! When you apply it to your lips, you get a sheer tint, sort of like your lip color, but better. The balm is not sticky at all, which I like. Instead it feels almost like silk on the lips. I also love that it contains natural ingredients.
The only thing I wish Korres would do is to create this balm in a stick form, so that we don't need to stick our fingers in the product, which introduces more bacteria to it. I've been using a lip brush to use this because otherwise, it will get stuck under my fingernails.
I would definitely repurchase this and look forward to trying other colors/flavors as well.

Benefit's "Stay Don't Stray" is a creamy eyeshadow and undereye concealer primer. It claims to help eyeshadows and concealer stay put for hours on end, preventing creasing and fading of color. You get 10 ml of product for approximately $25 and the bottle is equipped with a pump. I thought the pump was going to be a good thing, but it tends to dispense more product than I need, therefore wasting primer. I would have preferred a sponge tip applicator.
As for the primer itself, it comes out as a pigmented cream, however, this blends in well with your skin. I thought it could double as a concealer, but the tiny veins on my eyelids were still visible. The primer isn't too tacky, so I do like how it absorbs into the skin.
I am very torn with my views concerning this primer. It does do it's job at keeping eyeshadows on for hours and I did not see any creasing whatsoever. However, as an undereye concealer primer, I did not feel it did a great job. My concealer still ended up migrating after a few hours and I noticed creasing in the fine lines under my eyes as well as build up at the outer corners of my eyes, due to the shifting concealer.
Considering the price of the product and the fact that it does not do everything it claims, I don't think I will be purchasing this again. I will only be using this on my eyelids from now on.

The St. Ives Apricot Scrub is a little too harsh on sensitive skin, since it does contain crushed apricot seeds or some form of rough ingredient. This caused my face to become red instantly and I needed to stop using it. However, I found it worked great as a body exfoliator. It left my skin very smooth and soft after every use. I use this 2-3 times a week in the shower and a little goes a long way. It goes on smoothly on the skin, so you don't waste chunks of product falling down the drain, like I've experienced with other exfoliators. It has a nice scent to it and it doesn't feel greasy nor does it leave a soapy film on your skin. I recommend this only to be used on your body, or on your face if you don't have sensitive skin. -

Maybelline's Dream Mousse Concealer is by far the best drugstore concealer I have ever tried! It has worked very well in covering my undereye circles and it has not creased or caked in the fine lines. The concealer's texture is very light and exactly like a mousse, however, when you apply it to your skin, it transforms into a light powdery finish. It does not migrate or transfer during the day and it is long lasting as well.
It has a medium coverage and it is buildable in case you need to camouflage darker circles. It does work on blemishes as well, but I find it is better suited for covering undereye shadows. I was also extremely happy to find a shade that matched my skin tone perfectly.
I did come across one little downfall though. Once you start using the concealer, you may notice it has a tendency of drying up in the pot or it gets a little crumbly in texture. In order to fix this and renew it to its original state, I just sprayed a light mist of a thermal spring water on it (ex: MAC's Fix , Avène, La Roche-Posay, Evian, etc...). This concealer is best applied with a concealer brush or a soft, fluffy, blending brush.

If you're looking for an affordable dry shampoo, Tresemmé has come out with an both an aerosol and foam product which are supposed to help refresh your hair, without the need for washing. The aerosol is for oily/normal to straight hair and the foam is for dry/wavy to curly hair. I recently bought and tried the aerosol. The can is of a pretty good size and it will probably last me a while before I repurchase.
I used the dry shampoo after the second day I washed my hair. It was looking limp and a little oily at the roots. After spraying this product, My hair doubled in volume and I noticed that it did not leave a white, powdery residue. It's scent is very fresh, like most of the Tresemmé products. It also got rid of the oily look and made my hair look so much better! To get the best results, shake vigorously and spray in short bursts over the oily areas. Do not spray like a hair spray all over your head. Keep shaking the can after every spray. I let it sit in my hair for about a minute and then brush through it and shake my hair up with my fingers.
I definitely recommend this product! It's cheap ($3.99 CAD) and will probably go on sale often and it delivers good results.

I recently tried the Maybelline Colossal mascara from their Volume Express line. It comes in a fat, bright yellow tube, so it's pretty hard to miss. I had read mixed reviews about this mascara, but I kept an open mind about it. Our lashes are unique, so what may be trash for some, can turn out to be a treasure for others. With that being said, I absolutely love this mascara. My eyelashes doubled in length and volume. What impressed me the most was that I got instant curl, something I have not had with other mascaras without using an eyelash curler. After two coats of the Colossal, it seemed as though I had fake lashes on. This mascara did not flake or smudge throughout the day and it was very easy to remove.
The only downside is that by the end of the day, my lashline was getting a little itchy, but it was not intolerable. I would consider purchasing this mascara again!

I've tried the Organix Pomegranate Green Tea shampoo, but have yet to try the conditioner. If you have limp, fine hair, this shampoo will deliver the volume you need. The shampoo is a light pink color and is very thick. You do have to be careful when you pour it out because it can slip off your hand. However, once you rub it into your hair, it gives a great lather and it rinses off nicely. It has left my hair feeling soft and manageable and I have noticed an increase in shine.
It also has a delicious scent to it which reminds me of candy, however, I do wish they would improve on this and make the scent linger on the hair a little more (or maybe I've become immune to it and don't smell it on myself). I appreciate that they do not include harmful ingredients such as sulfates and parabens into their shampoos and conditioners. I will purchase more of this shampoo when I run out and I will also add the conditioner this time around.

I purchased the Carmex Moisturizing Lip Balm/Ointment after reading some great reviews about it. Well, they weren't lying! This is probably the best lip care product I've ever owned. I love how it makes my lips feel moisturized almost instantly and it doesn't feel too sticky or greasy either. The squeeze tube makes it easy to apply on the lips and I haven't had issues with too much product coming out at once. I also like the bright yellow packaging, which makes it easy to find in your purse.
The lip balm/ointment is clear, but it leaves a nice shine on the lips. It does have a slight medicated scent and taste to it, which I don't mind too much, but it may be offensive to some. The reason for this is that it can also be used to treat cold sores on the lips, so I'm sure some form of "medicine" is included in the ingredients. I haven't had a cold sore to test this on so I can't say whether or not it works for that. It does feel tingly on your lips, sort of like what a lip plumpong gloss would feel like, but I was able to tolerate this.
Overall, I think this is a great product and I will keep purchasing it when I run out.
