I have very sensitive skin, so I have to be very careful about the skincare products I use. I received three products in Vichy's Normaderm line from Chickadvisor and this was one of them. I love it! The cleanser is gentle enough to not irritate my skin, but potent enough to remove almost all of my makeup - even my eye makeup (although this is not recommended to use around the eyes). My skin feels super soft after using this too - no dryness whatsoever. Lastly, this along with the other 2 Vichy products I have been using has contributed to my clearer skin. I was really struggling a month ago with a ton of breakouts that I suspect was a result of some other skincare products I was using. I'm hooked and will be repurchasing this for sure! -

I was sent both the Creamy Coconut and Silky Shea lip balms for review as a member of Chick Advisor's Product Review Club.
The Silky Shea scent is light and soft and perfect for those who don't like a lot of scent in their lip products. I prefer Creamy Coconut because I love almost anything coconut-scented. I love that this smells like real coconut and isn't synthetic smelling.
I was also sent the Softlips Cubes and I much prefer the lipstick-style of these; they're very easy to apply precisely. The formula is thinner than the Cubes however, so I did not find them as nourishing and moisturizing. I think these work well as an everyday lip balm, not so much if you're looking for something to heal dry lips.
I also like the packaging; they're made of a thick clear plastic with swirls of colour and the look like a high-end lip balm. They feel sturdy but won't weigh down your purse.
I can see myself picking these up on my own and keeping them one in my purse, car, etc. for those times when I need a touch of moisture on my lips.

I was sent both the Berry Bliss and Fresh Mint versions of his product for review purposes as part of ChickAdvisor's Product Review Club. While the Mint worked just as well as the Berry, I much prefer the Berry Bliss for it's scent. This smells delicious - fruity and sweet, but not overpowering.
I'm not a huge fan of this style of lip balm, I prefer them in a tube form because I always end up getting the balm around my lips, instead of just on them. However, the balm itself is exceptionally moisturizing, creamy and silky, and leaves my lips feeling super soft for hours.
Although I was not a fan of the style of the packaging, I really liked the look of this lip balm. It's made out of a super thick clear plastic and the little cube looks really cool sitting on my makeup vanity. It just has a really luxe feel.
If you're looking for a different style of lip balm that actually works, I'd recommend these!

I received CND's Weekly Polish in the shade Regally Yours as well as their Weekly Top Coat for review purposes from ChickAdvisor. Regally Yours is a deep purple shade that looks more black than purple when applied. Overall I have to say I was generally happy with this product. Given that it was such a dark, vampy shade and I didn't apply a base coat, I expected it to stain my nails but it didn't at all. The formula was on the thinner side so I expected it to be patchy but it actually applied fairly opague with 2 coats. I was really impressed with how glossy my nails were after I used the top coat, I'm not sure I've ever seen them look that shiny!
Unfortunately I didn't get a week's worth of wear out of this - it started chipping a few days in which was disappointing. However I was doing a fair bit of cleaning this week so I'm going to test it out again under more "normal conditions" and see if that makes a difference. Overall though the polish seems like pretty good quality so I could see myself giving their other shades a try.

I was sent this product for review purposes courtesy of Chick Advisor's Product Review Club. I am a fan of micellar waters and my favourite is Sephora's Triple Action Cleansing Water. I was really interested to see how this would compare. I experienced 2 drawbacks with this micellar water; firstly, I felt like my skin was slightly oilier than usual by about mid-day when I used this in the morning. Secondly, I prefer a pump-style bottle rather than a squeeze bottle as I find it's much easier to distribute the product and it amounts to less waste of the product as well. Overall though I think this is a pretty good micellar water and neither of the drawbacks would stop me from purchasing it on my own. It removes makeup pretty well, leaves my skin feeling refreshed and doesn't leave any residue behind. I'm not sure it could replace my Sephora version but I'd pick it up if I was in a pinch and couldn't get my first choice as the price is definitely right! -

I received this product free for review as part of Chick Advisor's Product Review Club. When I saw the words "Replenishing Rich Moisturizer, I cringed a little as I don't do thick and creamy moisturizers. They just never work well with my combo skin Surprisingly the consistency of this isn't as thick and creamy as I expected. It's actually quite lightweight but once applied to skin it is quite emollient and definitely takes its time to absorb. Unfortunately I tried it out one morning and a few hours in my skin was looking pretty oily so this doesn't work as an everyday moisturizer for me. I have used it overnight however, and it seems to work better for me that way. So I'll keep it on hand for those times when I'm needing some extra hydration. I don't think I would purchase this on my own though - I prefer skincare with active ingredients (ideally glycolic acid) and lighter moisturizers work best on my skin. I think if you have dry skin, this could work really well for you if you're looking for an inactive ingredient moisturizer. -

I received this eyeliner in my Winter Luxe box; I had never heard of this brand previous to receiving this and was anxious to try it out. I tend to wear black liquid eyeliner on a daily basis and have tried my fair share of them, but overall I was impressedwith Starlooks version. This glides on easily and smoothly, and doesn't drag. I also find it quite pigmented which is extremely important in liquid eyeliner. What I really like about this is the tip - it's flexible enough to reach odd angles but firm enough not to be damaged if you tend to press down hard.
While I like this product, the price slightly deters me, as does the fact that it can only be ordered online. For that reason, I don't myself repurchasing it.

I received this palette as a gift and within such a short time period, its become one my favorite palettes that I own. I can't over how wonderfully pigmented, blendable and buttery every single shade is in this! And while there are plenty of neutral shades, there are pops of color included to keep it from being boring. I think my favourite thing about this is the cocoa scent - genius! -

I rarely tend to purchase macara that isn't from the drugstore because I've never found one that is worth it's inflated price point. This is one of the few that I can actually justify purchasing. This offers major volume, length and thickness which is exactly what I look for in a mascara. I love the super black, pigmented formula although I do find it flakes if I do more than 2 coats. The nice thing is you can easily get away with one coat and end up with thick, voluminous lashes. Definitely one of my favorite mascaras I've ever tried! -
