The elixir has a pleasant smell, does not weigh down my hair, and also manages to tame frizz. I use it alone if I’m not planning on drying or straightening/curling my hair. If I plan to use heat, I apply it before I apply a product that can handle high heat. Even if I use another product with it, my hair does not feel greasy or weighed down. Love this stuff! -

It protects without making my lips feel tacky/sticky. It doesn't have a funny taste either. I love the version in the twist-up stick and the tin. -
