I have one rat who isn't blind. So obviously nothing makes me happier than watching it roll itself around the house smashing into walls searching for god knows what. Because of rats exceptionally long tails they needed the 11.5 inch diameter one. Kind of ridiculous that the 6.5" one is $9.99 but the 11.5" one is $24.99. My brain doesn't do math but something seems wrong there. You may find that if your rat or large animal has particularly poor eyesight or a temptation to scale walls, that upon smashing the door bits of ball against walls enough the locking grooves may start to crack and thus break after time. -

Ok so this thing works about 75% of the time, which is much better than a water dish in any small animal cage which will disappoint you 100% of the time. This isn't to say that this product is anything to write home about. True, it is absolutely chew proof, as demonstrated by my rats thorough testing, glass cannot be chewed through. However, those goofy springs that you have to wrap around the bottle to keep it padlocked to the cage make you want to throw your head into a wall. They're so fidgety I just end up strapping them on randomly and hoping a glass bottle wouldn't be smashing onto my hardwood floor in the middle of the night.
The weird little duck you see in the bottle sure is cute, so long as you use tweezers to remove it as soon as you buy it. The thing is prone to growing mold. Mold ain't cute. Overall, get a top fill one if such a thing is available to you, but if you cant and you enjoy fidgety springs and ugly ducks, I'll just conclude that you didn't necessarily make the WRONG choice, just not the best one.

I'm really lazy, let's just get that across now, and this was made almost especially for creatures like me. Lazy creatures. I hate having to rip off the little connecting pieces to other water bottles just to refill them. This one is awesome because not only does it just un-clip by tugging it off the holding clip, you just slip the rubber lid off, fill it up and you're done. Not to mention the drinking spout has a spring loaded ball bearing in it rather than one that works solely based on the assumption that gravity will solve all your problems. The answer is no, gravity does not solve all your problems, but this spring will keep your bottle from leaking stupidly when gravity decides it's no longer going to return your phone calls. -

I bought a Van Ness container to put some of my cats dry food in for a while so I could tape up their large bag of food while using what i put in the container. I found it worked ok, but I'm personally partial to non-plastic food containing devices as plastic containers can and will leech chemicals into the food. So I used a small bag from when I was buying cat food in 4lb increments and placed it inside the container and just filled that.
It's ok but I really hate that handle, it takes up so much room.

I bought this the other night hoping that my kitten might choose it over my box spring. No go. They gave me catnip in the packaging to entice the little demon but still a no go. He's 100% uninterested no matter how much i prompt him to it. For a cat that's always liked scratching cardboard this would probably be fine. For my cat not so much. -

I gave this to my step-cat. She didn't feel anything for it. Even the rats didn't seem partial to it. I didn't really either because Weruva has a bad habit of putting tuna in all their recipes.
"Most fish contain trace amounts of mercury, and the higher up on the food chain a fish is, the more mercury is accumulated in the fish. Tuna is relatively high on the food chain and therefore contains higher amounts of mercury than other fish, leading to an increased risk of mercury poisoning."
Is your cat likely to get mercury poisoning? No but I still don't trust it, or it's high levels of unsaturated fats. Sounds more to me that they tried to put a cheap ingredient in all their foods to fill the pouches. Also the packaging of all their products are either boring or hideous. This ones just hideous.

I love almost everything in the Natural Balance food lines, especially this. This was first tested on my rats (might as well be lab rats if we're being honest), they were perfectly happy with the little morsels. Then this was given to the kitten of death once he came around. There's tons of gravy in these little pouches and in total the whole pouch is the same amount of food as your average 3oz tiny cat food can. They're also a bit lighter to carry home since you've decided to forgo the tin can in exchange for a pouch you cant really reseal and keep in the fridge. Still love it though. -

This one was a big hit not only with the kitten but also with the two sister rats. The texture of the food is especially soft so its still gonna be soft after being in the fridge for quite a while. This food is also a limited ingredient diet. This will confuse people if they read the ingredient panel since there looks to be about 50 things in it. That's just because only a few are main ingredients and the rest are vitamins and minerals added to reach an approval from AAFCO. My cat absolutely loved the taste as well as the rats. If there is an improvement to be made it's that it needs more gravy. -

All of the recipes in the Holistic Select line are amazing. This one I especially liked because of the unique protein that is shrimp. One thing about this food I especially liked is that despite being a pate it wasn't especially cake like, more like mush which makes it very soft. This of course means that after being in the fridge for a day then coming out to dish out some more for the beast I call my cat, regardless of the temperature it's nearly the same texture as it was before. This will be very handy for picky cats who are iffy about pates. -

The chicken divan is very straight forward as many if not all Merrick brand food is. The texture is like little slivers of meat which can be extra enticing to a cat that doesn't enjoy pates. Merrick always has a lot of moisture and gravy in their foods, making it even more palatable to picky cats. My cat personally liked it because it was food and it was being put down in front of his face, but that's not to say anything's wrong with the food, just that my cat is secretly a pig in disguise. -
