I decided to give this mascara a try to see what all the hype is about. I was impressed. It's a fairly decent product for the price, but nothing special.I found the brush bristles rough but aside from that it's pretty similar to other "high end" fat mascaras and delivers similar results at a fraction of the price.
It's nothing spectacular, I wouldn't make it my regular mascara but I have to admit that CoverGirl improved a lot, and is delivering one of the best drugstore mascaras right now, in my oppinion.
Worth it. for the price

Castor oil has to be one of my favourite natural beauty products.
Altough it`s known for it`s lxative properties, it is a great oil to use in any beauty routine.
My number one use: eyelash treatment!!! I mix a bit of oily vit E in it, and apply it relegiously with a clean mascara wand on eyelashes, every night, before bedtime. In aprox 2 weeks you can see a great difference. I`ve had many friends try this as well and we all love it.
Castor oil is a bit more viscous than other base oil (such as jojoba, sweet almond, grapeseed etc..) so I recommend always mixing it when doing hair masks, unless you wanna sport a greasy oilu updo after washing it out. It is however, amazing for hair... the mask and treatment combinations are endless.
I also use it once in a while for my face, when very dry and dull. I do a mini facial with a few drops of this oil, massage well and head off to bed. In the morning my skin is rehydrated... Rumor has it it`s great for spots on the face, of any kind, from liver issue ones to age spots or acne ones.
Last but not least when I do give myself a mani or pedi... I massage this oil generously on my elephant skin heels, cracks, cuticles, elbows or whatever. If on the feet I just put thick socks on and leave it overnight. It`s the only thing able to penetrate deep enough and soften my really rough patches. :)
Give it a try, it`s a very cheap, versatile and wonderful oil! You can get it in health stores.

I mentioned my previous experience with La Roche Posay's Effaclar M, which impressed me... yet I couldn't resist trying their new addition to the Effaclar's family, Effaclar DUO, whish btw has an NPN (natural health product number, which means it's officially recognized as a natural health product yay!). It's paraben free as well!
This is a more intese cream, labeled as an actual acne treatment, yet I find it good and gentle enough to be worn under makeup It's gel like texture as well, light and smooth and it absorbs very well. It does an amazing job and keeping breakouts at bay and really helped me with my clogged pores issues.
I find it very "powerful", if I may, so those with a slight sensitive skin might wanna try something milder. For me, however, it works great. I plan on using it temporarily, as a treament, and then return to Effaclar M for my regular maintenance.
I love love love this cream... and really recommend it for those of you that want a moisturizer that can be worn during the day and help you with skin problems such as those described above.
very worth it

In my eternal quest for the perfect moisturizer I decided to give La Roche-Posay a chance!
I have normal skin (with T-zone slightly oily), and I wanted something that hydrates, that helps me not to break out under the thick foundation lyer, something that gets absorbed fast, something that feels good and keeps the shine under control.
Well, this product hit the spot!
It's light, with a gel like texture,a delicate smell, goes on smoothly and sinks right in. It leaves skin tight and prepped for make-up. It's a gret makeup base I find, throught the day kept my foundation put, and I did notice a drastic difference in terms of shine.
My favourtie feature has to be the fact that at last, my breakouts were minimized, and my skin responded beautifuly to it, it looked healthier by the day!
worth it!!!

I have read and heard so much about this cream, so I decided to give it a try...
Right from the beginning I was put off by the thick, awkward texture. Usually I prefer light creams that get absorbed fast and don't interfere with my make up application later. I tried it and my fears came came true. It takes forever to sink in, feels heavy and greasy and it's a terrible make-up base. Not only I had a had time applying my foundation, I found halfway through my day my whole face was running.
I have normal skin, slightly oily on the T-zone and a very sensitive cheek area, where pores clog up right away, especially if using the wrong cream.
This product definitely wasn't for me.
I don't think it's worth the buzz... and I would suggest try a sample first!
so yeah.. not worth it

I am a foundation addict, so it took a lot for me to give in to this... my main concern being the coverage and "lasting power".
Long story short, I love Bare Minerals.
It covers well, (surprisingly well), it's relatively easy to apply (another concern I had, with the powders), it looks very very natural (main reason I decided to give up my heavy duty foundation), and it lasts long (my days usually go for 14-15 hrs). It doesn't run, nor does it fade, doesn't shine and manages to stay put the entire day. Last, but not least... my skin feels better, and looks better. No more clogged pores and congested, sufocated skin, major issues I had previously with me heavy duty foundation.
I got the starters kit, which is plenty... and considering my previous fundation costed about half the price of the kit, and lasted for 2 months, it's not a huge difference.
I really really like this stuff! It surprised me on how good it is!
I really really recommend it!
very worth it!

See, for me PGX doesn't really make sense. It's essentially an overpriced fiber supplement. It work by you ingesting the pills before you eat, drinking plenty of water so that the fiber expands and fills up your stomach making you eat less. Fiber (especially soluble such as pectins, psyllium etc) not only fill you up, but by doing so, slow digestion time and sugar absorption, therefore balancing out sugar levels which results in less cravings and "sugar crashes". It also helps regulate transit, prevent constipation, gently cleansing you digestive tract, absorbing toxins and carrying them out... In my opinion you are better off getting a much cheaper fiber supplement (such as psyllium, in bulk) and making in part of you daily habit. It'll not only help you manage hunger, craving (and weight) but help your overall health. -

Very powerful probiotics. A must for those on any kind of antibiotic treatment, travelers, those with any kind of intestinal/digestive issues or yeast problems, for those who have a weak immune system etc... It's a very powerful formula, and can get quite pricey for a day to day use, in my oppinion (a basic ~10 billion formula it's enough for an average healthy eating person). to me, it's one of the best probiotics on the market. -

I decided to give this product a try as I needed a light make up finish and ocasional retouch powder. I have to say, I love the texture, it really mattifies and goes on lightly, without looking cakey and heavy on top of my already thick layer of cream, base and foundation.
I am impressed. It`s an overall good product, I have the Honey shade, and goes well nicely with my skin colour. Blends nicely. Lasts well.
I have yet to try it on bare skin, but I am not brave enough, perhaps later on in the summer I shall venture out into the cold without my thick protective layer of foundation under.
I would say, its worth it!
