I'm really happy with this lipstick! I can't believe how moisturizing it is. I often find lipstick hard to apply since it makes my lips flakey/chapped but this one went on nice and smoothly. I love the bold colour (I tried "Yours Forever" - a red/pinky sexy combo!) It's reasonably priced ($17) and comes in sleek black matte packaging. Would definitely look into trying more of their colours/GOSH products! -

I've tried a wide range of dry shampoos now and this one stands as the winner. It absorbs grease in seconds and gives you a fresh feeling (because it smells awesome too!) It sprays out a white powder so you have to make sure you've rubbed it all into your hair. Another option is to put it in before you go to bed and then it will be absorbed by the time you wake up. I paid about $8 for it and feel that's pretty reasonable for the quality of product you are getting. -

I am new to Kombucha (fermented, raw, cultured tea) as a whole, but have always wanted to get in on the trend for the digestion benefits. I was surprised to find it really just tastes like juice (I tried "Guava Goddess") and was easy to drink. They warn you on the bottle by saying that since it is a live drink, you may find strands of 'culture' (Hold the vomit, I know). I don't know if it was in my head but my stomach started doing somersaults (in the best way possible). Not totally enthused by the price (I paid $5.50 at my local whole foods store but it goes for $4) though you are paying for quality, ultimately. -

I tried this at the Toronto Yoga Show this past weekend and was absolutely BLOWN away by how delicious these juices are. You can taste every little bit of cold-pressed fruit and vegetable in the juice, all of which serve varying benefits. Greenhouse Juice Co is also known for their juice cleanses which I would be very interested in trying after having sampled a few of their juices (East of Eden and Deep Roots were my favourite). They are a bit on the pricier side at $10 a bottle, however, for those who value their health and true, raw taste, you won't regret spending a single cent. -

I always get unusually excited about opening a new tube of mascara, usually because I've been trying to survive using up the last of my old dried up, goopy mascara.
Deca mascara went on so nicely though - the brush is smaller than I am used to but it applied a generous amount to each lash. It's a more wet mascara than I am used to, so it's important to let it dry before doing anything too wild (sorry chicks, no skydiving). I found the price to be quite reasonable too ($17.50) since it is a higher quality mascara. Easy to wash off, but long lasting throughout the day without flaking.

This lotion has been my go-to desk hand lotion over the past month and I am so thankful for it. I love that it's not too thick and not too runny, leaving your hands feeling completely renewed and not greasy at all. The scent is quite nice - it's light, fresh and has a hint of chamomile and rosemary. I've used Live Clean products in the past for their eco-friendly nature and have always been happy with them. -

Never did I ever think I could find my moisturizer, toner, serum, primer, day cream, night cream and eye cream all in ONE package. That said, it's good to keep all of these things in mind (as well as how much each individual one would usually cost) when purchasing due to the higher price tag ($120).
But really, you're cutting your packaging in half, making your bathroom cupboards that much cleaner and travel much easier. It's very lightweight, so it doesn't feel like you're piling a layer of film on your face and it absorbs very nicely into the skin. I'm still trying to peg down the scent, only because it comes off as being very natural to me - nothing artificial/citrus/fruity as you might usually find in skin care products. I would say it feels and smells very "clean." It's been about a week now and I'm very happy with the results so far, especially hearing that one 50mL/1.7oz bottle is expected to last up to 4 months!

I threw on 'Blossom Floraism' yesterday in light of some balmy spring weather and am seriously impressed by this nail polish. I didn't expect much in regard to quality considering the slim price tag next to it but I have been more than happy with it since. The brush is really nice and wide and applies the polish nicely without globbing. I put on 2 coats, not even a top coat, and it's still shining away!

I was a bit nervous before my free trial at The Power Institute due to previous preconceptions about shaking machines that supposedly make you lose 10 pounds a second (exaggerating here). However, I'm one to give anything a go at least once.
The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the beautiful facility - state of the art equipment, well-kept, along with a cozy lounge area by a naturally sun-lit window. Next I was approached by a very friendly staff member who turned out being the owner, Ron Das. He gave me a full on tour of the facility and made me feel very comfortable before jumping into the exercise.
The Power Institute is known for their combination Power Plate training (approx 30 min worth) and their body contouring treatments. If you think 30 minutes of work doesn't seem like much, you can ask my abs how they felt the next day. The difference between this method is that the Power Plate makes functional movements much more challenging, providing you with benefits from increased circulation, lymphatic drainage and weight loss.
The body contouring treatment was different, though I thoroughly enjoyed it. I did the lipomassage which is essentially like having a pressurized vacuum roll all over your body. It is not painful in the slightest. In fact, you will likely laugh a bit or relax and enjoy the whole experience.
I highly recommend this place for people who may not have a whole lot of time in their schedules to exercise (Ron recommends people visit approx 3X a week), are looking for a low impact workout or may just need that extra assistance to keep them going.

I had never heard of this brand until a slice of the Blonde Dulcey Chocolate Bar accidentally fell into my mouth. Valrhona was generous enough to send a few free samples of their line of chocolate bars including the Milk Chocolate "Bahibe" and the dark chocolate "Araguani," all of which offered a unique experience. I'm usually one to go for dark chocolate but the Blonde Dulcey chocolate won my heart over very fast. It has a creamy caramel-white chocolate taste to it that I just couldn't get enough of. That said, if you're a lover of dark chocolate, you would really like the "Araguani" for it's lingering after-taste. Pleasantly surprised by this brand. I would put them in the competitive category up against Lindt in terms of quality and a long-lasting chocolate tasting experience. -
