Too Faced Born This Way was my first non-drugstore brand beauty product, and first true satisfaction with a liquid foundation. Previously, I was using Maybelleine's Fit Me! Matte and Poreless, which would be a very good dupe, but does not come close to the end result. The formula is oil-free, so it tends to stay matte most of the day. I have an oily complexion, more often than not, so I do gain some shine while wearing.
The least desirable feature of Born This Way is the false implication that it is "full coverage". While it is a buildable foundation, I found it almost had a "sheer mask" quality, even at its fullest potential. This adds a natural appearance, but does not provide full coverage in the least. As well, it cakes and blotches as it is incompatible with other brands or oil-based products.

If you are a pale girl who wants full coverage foundation, stop searching - this is the ONE.
I have combination skin that has a tendency towards an oily complexion. This foundation looks smooth and beautiful all day long, though it does build up oil and shine with wear. However, I have found that it lasts through this fault and even stays with blotting and touch-up without going blotty, blotchy, or cakey!

I received this product as part of the Chick Advisor Product Review club, in exchange for my honest review.
I'm not new to protein or meal replacement bars - being a perfect example of a "hungry girl" who constantly snacks to please her always-grumbling tummy, I started picking up the occasional bar last year to avoid over-eating or consuming junk food. Whatever is at the gas station or convenience store, I usually grab and throw in my lunch for work. For this reason, I was extra excited about being selected for the Adrien Gagnon Product Review Club, and can happily say that the Decadent Fudge Nutriforme Meal Replacement Bars I received have exceeded all of my expectations!
Each 65g bar contains 24 vitamins and minerals, 4g of fiber, 15g of protein, and only 260 calories! Comparable to competitors' bars, the calorie count is wonderfully low. The only high contents are sodium and fat, at 250mg and 9g, but this is still easily comparable to other options as moderate-to-low.
These bars are extremely rich in delicious, truly decadent, chocolate flavour - the ingredients include "chocolate flavoured coating, cocoa powder processed with alkali, and chocolate liquor" (hello!). The fudge chocolate flavour is delicious and strong without being overwhelming or over-processed or artificial tasting. A chocolate-lover would definitely satisfy his or her craving with one of these! Consistency of the bar was very thick, but chewy and fudge-like. There were rice-crisp bits throughout - just enough to give a little bit of a crunch to every bite. The taste is very good, and I definitely am a fan.
As for the effectiveness? I had my first bar yesterday around 10AM as a replacement for the breakfast I had forgotten to eat (as usual...) and felt full and satisfied until DINNER! This is seriously rare for me. I snack constantly and have nagging hunger all day through, typically. Seriously - hungry girl here. The Nutriforme bar fulfilled these cravings long enough that I didn't snack until dinner! I even had a very small lunch (one mango) because I felt full.
♡ Comparably lower in calories, fats, carbs, sugars, and sodium than competitors!
♡ Delicious, decadent chocolate fudge flavour with crispy rice bits.
♡ Long-lasting fullness and satisfaction of hunger - no cravings!
♡ Affordable for a great quality!
If you are a typical "hungry girl" like me, whose cravings are insatiable, and whose tummy is always talking back, you need to try the Adrien Gagnon Nutriforme Bars! I am very satisfied with this free trial, and will be looking in to purchasing more bars once I have consumed what I received from Chick Advisor.

Vick's VapoRub Topical Ointment is a lifesaver for anybody who has reoccurring or seasonal congestion and colds.
I typically apply it to my chest and below my nose when I am taking a hot bath during a cold, flu, or when I am having congestion. In moments, the fresh, cool aroma of Vick's VapoRub consumes my sinuses and clears them entirely! It's very relaxing, and effective.
Also, very sticky - which is why I don't apply before bed as some users do. I can't stand the consistency, but in the end it is so worth it to feel the relief it brings.

Buckley's is one of the only cough syrups that I buy when I am dealing with congestion, cough, or dry and itchy throat. I typically get sick once a year when the weather changes, and it's always chest and throat symptoms that appear! Long nights are no longer spent awake, but sleeping soundly, when I have Buckley's in my system during a chest cold or flu!
Definitely my go-to for long-lasting relief of that tickling cough that won't quit.

When I had two cats, a seven year old silver tabby and a kitten orange tabby, I bought their food at the Dollarama. It was inexpensive and name brand, and location was close. They started carrying the Whiskas ca milk, and I was skeptical of the quality. After asking my vet, he said that "trying once or twice as a treat" would be okay, but that Whiskas was basically a "junk food" brand of kibble and so on.
So I bought one to split between my kitties. My older tabby immediately vomited after lapping his half up.* He was not a picky eater at all... actually he would eat anything. My orange tabby sniffed it, licked it once, and walked away without interest. I picked up the dish to inspect the milk and it smelled absolutely awful... it was a thick, cream-like consistency and an inexplicable yellowish-whitey-gray in colour. I dumped the rest and tended to my sick kitty, Peter, who had a little diarrhea after ingesting as well.*
Would not recommend. Is not worth the mess, or the few dollars it costs if your cat doesn't like the milky treat.
* My older tabby did have a very sensitive bowel and stomach. He also drank quite quickly.

I have horrible luck with phones, and am atypically clumsy atop of that bad e-luck! Even with strong cases - hard, plastic, whatever - and screen protectors on my many past phones, iPad, and tablets (even laptops), I somehow manage to damage them badly!
I recently received a "hand-me-down" iPhone 5c from my parents, and they bought me an Otter-box to protect it. As usual, I have already dropped my phone from chest height multiple times... and all without any shock damage, cosmetic flaws, or screen damage occurring! I also dropped it in the toilet at work once... still survived! Otter-box makes amazing products that, though expensive, are entirely worth the cost. I am confident that Otter-box, especially concerning this model, lives up to expectations and promises. Plus, every case has a life-time warranty!
If you want to protect your iPhone (or any electronic), go with Otter-box without a question. They are simply the most quality cases there are, without seeming as bulky and hideous as competitors. Love the camo ones, and will soon be buying a pink for my iPhone 5c!

I'm a girl with very "combination hair" - some days it's greasy, flat, and straight after a wash and dry, and sometimes it's voluminous, wavy, and dry. If I allow my hair to dry naturally, it can become curly, too. I've had straightening irons from Revlon, Chi, and other top brands but always had the same issues: the flat iron only worked on dry, agreeable hair that was sectioned off. I simply don't have the time or effort to allot 45 minutes or more to my hair in the morning. At least, not anymore!
Remington wasn't a brand I had heard of, but I gave it a go. No matter what condition or health my hair is in, this flat iron straightens, smooths, and shines! The temperature range is perfect and goes up to 455 degrees, and is shown on a LED screen for easy management. The straighteners cord swivels to avoid tangling, and plates don't pinch or snap hair strands.
I love this tool! By far the best straightener I have owned - and I have had many!
