I was pretty excited to receive this to review, since summer was just around the corner. Now, I am not very patient when it comes to shaving. I have a few cuts on my legs from previous quick fixes. So, the fact that I could potentially save myself from a future disaster, was very appealing to me. Now, I did find that the angled head did not really help me in getting both sides in the manner I wanted (although I had virtually no issues when I was tackling my underarms). It was a little more awkward in drying to get a close enough shave. However, although I did have a pass over a few times, I was glad I did not have to worry about cutting myself or irritating the area. Although the light is nifty, I personally would prefer to have the light be traded off for the cost (although the cheapest I saw was just under $25, which is not terrible to start). Anyway, I did say I was not sure if I would repurchase. Now, I did mention price being one, but it was the awkwardness of handling the product to get the opposite side (left for me). Just felt that it had a more optimized in one direction than the other. I also have to see how long the battery will last (as I do not buy AAA’s very often, so if I can get a decent charge on a dollar store battery, might save it there). There is also the part of how long the blade can last. Depending on that, I could probably be convinced it is the way to go for someone like me (plus it is fun to pluck the short stragglers I might miss). -

I received a sachet of the cleansing oil for free courtesy of Butterly. For my skin and makeup routine, I usually like using cleansing oils to ensure I got it all (oily skin, but also waterproof and sunscreen). The oil is nice, and I actually liked the smell. Not super over powering, which is important to me. It also did ensure I get my waterproof MUFE liners off without struggling too much, and I didn't need to go at my fave again for my sun screen. If you have not used oil cleansers before, make sure to emulsify, otherwise it will be hard to work with. Unfortunately, I say I wouldn't recommend since there are others I have used that worked just as well as this for the price point. But this is also because I may not have experienced the full effect of the product due to it being a sachet since this product is about the benefits of the ingredients as well (so take this with a grain of salt). I would consider it if I was able to sang it at a decent price point since I do like having something luxurious as part of my removal process. -

It may be the fact that I typically use reusable towels in the kitchen, but I did not find that this was so exceptional to change my mind about including it to my shopping list. I thought it seemed comparable to reusable products that I have on hand already, especially when you factor in the costs when it is used primarily on spills. What I did find was that this was strong enough to help me with most disposable needs, such as helping me get the majority of the grease off my hands when I was working on fixing something. I didn't have to use more than I needed as it resisted tears, and was thick enough to hold the product I was wiping without bleeding through. I did go on a picnic, where I used the sheets to act as a protective layer between the ceramic plates I took with me. They provided enough cushioning to help me on the way there, and for soaking up the wet bits when I was storing them to bring them back home. As a splurge, it would be something I might consider if I were having a gathering (ymmv due to specific rules regarding the pandemic), however, for more day to day uses, I would stick to what I already have. -

I had the opportunity to review this for free. It's toilet paper. Why would one want to jump on this opportunity? Softness. That was the first thing that came to mind. It is always nice to be comforted by how soft it is, depending on its use. Tossing a roll in a ziplock bag, then in the car for minor clean up is nice. Especially with allergies, my nose is usually quite thankful for things that I can use, that are as soft as they can be. Plus, it lets me control how much I need depending on how much my nose is running (one of the major reasons why I dislike using facial tissue for this purpose). So, if it is good enough for my nose, I know it is good enough for other uses. The other thing is that the thickness of the product was good enough so that I wasn't using too much at a time. Since it is on the thicker/plush side, you don't need as much for the task you need it for (which then rolls into the fact that you are saving in a few different ways). The main reason why I did dock a star is mainly due to costs. I would probably be more inclined to pick this one over my regular brand when I see it on sale at Costco as the price would be more competitive and in my favour. -

When I first read about this, I was actually quite intrigued. I was thinking along the lines of a heavy sleeping masque. However, as soon as I opened the container, I knew that it wasn't for me. The product was heavily scented, which might not be as much of a problem if we were using small amounts. But, the product asks to be applied generously. The persistent perfuming, was a turn off. The other thing is that I wasn't a total fan of how it felt in the morning. My skin felt very cone slick, which may be explained by the ingredients. The idea sounded great, but I couldn't make it work out for myself. -

I have the opportunity to try this free from the recent Neutrogena Chickadvisor campaign. I haven't used hyaluronic acid's in awhile, and when I did, it was more liquid form. So, this serum was more welcoming as it was easier to maneuver. In any case, I have become quite lazy when it comes to my skincare (more specifically to moisture). Knowing that I use acids, I really should rectify that. So, having this in a simple dropper, and ease of application was quite helpful to getting me to get back on the moisture train. I did struggle at times to get 5 drops from the dropper in one go, but luckily it wasn't a huge annoyance. My skin is combination now, so it allowed me to avoid having a tight face feeling when I rinsed off my face in the mornings. It also didn't get in the way with my usual routine. So, if you need ease, this might be something to consider. -

When I first applied for this, I didn't realize that it was made of Hydrocolloid. I use pimple patches that are made of hydrocolloid, and love them. The thing is, I was a little worried about it falling off. The patches that I used, are used in areas that don't come into contact with water very much. However, I was pleasantly surprised that the Hydro Seal Bandaid persisted quite well. I had a cut on my upper arm, and my typical use of protection is to slap something on until the bleeding stops. Whatever I use (unless heavy duty), does not tend to last very long and falls off without me replacing it (mostly as it rubs against clothing). But with the Hydro Seal, I put it on...and actually forgot about it. I did not have to deal with it coming loose and flapping away like other times. Honestly, one less thing to worry about in my day to day life is always a good thing. -

I receieved the Dove Refresh + Care Volume Dry Shampoo to review from Chock Advisor, but unfortunately did not meet my expectations.
Dry shampoo was a huge staple for me when I was in school. Used to go across the border to get them when they werent as accessible here. Knowing how it got me out of a bind many times, I always keep a few in my stash.
One of the biggest reasons that the Dove can did not meet my standards? It only lasted one use. The pressure seems to have undid it self or something. I shake the can and can hear things, but nothing seems to come out. And no, its not clogged, I checked.
In addition, the scent was way to heavy. It announces your presence before you even appear. I get that it has to mask chemicals and oils...but it was too much.
Despite that, if those two things didnt turn out the way they did, well, the product did well in trying to curb the hair oils. All without acting too much like a hair spray. But the fact that I got a defective can and the scent turns me away from wanting to try this brand of dry shampoo in the future.

My mother who is late 50's tried out the line for this review.
This was the least favorite product from the trio she received. Though is applied well/easily, she didn't seem to find that it made enough of a difference. She personally found that they regular one she uses to be more effective, and ended up swapping this out of the routine, now that the review was needed.
So, though she recommends the creams for this line, she isn't a fan of the serum.

My mother who is late 50's tried out the line for this review.
My mother isn't usually a fan of cooling sensations. However, this product has helped her to feel more comfortable with them. It provided her a more relaxing feel as it cooled the skin. It's to the point where she really comes to look forward to this step at night.
The creams that she usually uses, tend to be more on the oily side, as her skin needs that extra oomph. But seeing as her coworkers have been commenting on her skin, this is definitely doing something to help her skin out.
