My wife, a very practical and well spoken individual, had an incredibly horrific experience.....and is concerned that she lost most of two of her molars unnecessarily.
She had seen a previous dentist recently before moving to the area and was told she had a very minor spot on one of her back teeth. she was under the impression it was very minor, by the end of the appointment they had ground down two of her teeth to almost nothing.
I worry that after spending so much on her orthodontic work, she lost her teeth to over charging insurance availability with unnecessary service.
Upon further research I have learned that this is more common among larger dental offices with multiple Dentists.
While larger offices might reduce costs per Dentist, I dont know that they save the end user or insurance any money...and the larger the organisation the more likely you and you info can get lost or miscommunicated in it
