I got this on sale at Sephora. Otherwise, Murad products are very pricey! In my late 20s, I am starting to focus more on anti aging products and the first step is sun protection. I didn’t want to add another step in my routine and this also works as a makeup primer, so perfect! It has a very dimethicone-y feel, which I don’t mind as it makes it very easy to spread and a little goes a long way. I was worried because sometimes silicone products add unwanted slick to my already oily skin and can cause breakouts. I never experienced any problems with this product. It smooths my skin and, even without makeup, blurs the fine lines under my eyes and my enlarged pores. It did a very good job of protecting my skin without irritation (I have rosacea, acne-prone and oily skin).
All in all, I think you can probably find sun protection with silicone in cheaper products. The quality of this is likely superior, but it’s not magic so don’t break the bank for it if you’re on a budget. If you’ve got the money to spend or find it on sale like me, I absolutely recommend!
