Another of the better Demeter scents as far as evoking memories through smell - this one really does smell like the ocean, or more specifically the beach at the ocean, with salty air and blue water and sand on your skin. Does better as a room spray, though. The staying power on skin is negligible! -

I would sneak into her top drawer and sniff it, but never spray it on because I didn't want to get caught going through her stuff. I remember thinking it such a sophisticated thing to have, a Vanderbilt perfume (this should clue you in to how long ago this was lol) and I loved the classy swan bottle. Fast-forward to many many years later, and my husband comes home with a bottle of this as an anniversary present. I was surprised it was still on the market! The same lovely, almost grape-like scent that I remember as a kid. I'm sure it's just my nostalgic sentimentality showing, but I really like this perfume, or maybe I just like finally having it for myself. -
Benefit Cosmetics Maybe Baby Eau de Toilette
Maybe Baby is a perfume that I had many years ago and still can't forget. If I had a chance to grab another bottle, I totally would - it smells like peaches to me, plus green and white and softness and tanginess. Just all around lovely :)

This is one of the few perfumes I've ever tried that I just couldn't wash off fast enough. Not only did it make me feel sick, after a few minutes I got a splitting headache that turned into a migraine. It wouldn't wash off, even with soap, and I could smell it for the rest of the day. Just not even remotely close to being a winner with me. It smelled like a strong, harsh, sharp, bitter, chemical mess, and I wasn't impressed to say the least. Fortunately it was just a sample vial that I could toss out without losing anything. -

Normally I don't care for scents that don't have at least one distinct note that I can identify, but something about this one just seems sophisticated and classy to me. A bit strong, so you have to be careful not to overdo it. -
