Demeter is awesome. Not because they have great quality perfumes (they don't - nothing from Demeter has any staying power past an hour or two) but because their scents are so unusual. Everything is single-note, so you don't have to sort through a bunch of scents to figure out what you're smelling. You buy a bottle that says "Cotton Candy" and what you smell is cotton candy, not freesia and pink pepper and tonka bean with musky wood midnotes and a vanilla cream drydown. You smell cotton candy, period. It's incredible how they've managed to do this, but their entire fragrance library is single-note true-to-name scents that do one thing...they smell like whatever the bottle says they are. My favorites are the food/dessert and candy scents, which all smell so realistic they'll have you getting in the car to run to the donut shop. The lack of staying power doesn't stop me from buying them, and since they're single note, you can layer different scents on top of each other to make your own distinct combination scent. Have fun :) -

I tried to love this, years ago, and I just didn't. I tried it again recently and I still don't love it, I guess because it's just not different enough to appeal to me. It smells just like a bunch of other perfumes, without anything that really sets it apart from the rest. That said, it's not a bad scent, just doesn't suit me. The bottle is pretty though, very classic and understated. -

Angel Innocent is one of the few perfumes that I truly feel is worth its steep price tag. It's impossible to describe without using words like "luscious", "rich", "biting", foody/floral", or "no idea how to describe this". Honestly, you have to try it yourself, and you will either love it or hate it - nobody ever feels "meh" about it, just like with its wicked older sister Angel. Most Thierry Mugler scents elicit strong reactions in people and the camps are fiercely divided between adoring/worshiping and hating/despising. I land firmly on the adoring side. Worth every penny, and a bottle will have a better chance of going bad with age than being used up because it lasts literally FOREVER. -

I love citrusy scents, and this one fits the bill nicely. Pacifica is a great brand for people who prefer their beauty products without all the extra chemicals, parabens, additives, and dangerous ingredients that most major brands seem to pack into every product they crank out. Pacifica's perfumes are light and airy and wear well, with decent longevity. Each one smells distinctly different, and some can even be worn together for more interesting scent combinations. I like the bottles too - simple and elegant. Blood Orange is a deep, spicy citrus that smells true to its name. Very recommended. -

I just couldn't get into this scent - it did nothing for me, had absolutely zero individuality, and I couldn't pick it out of a scent lineup if there were only two to choose from. It smelled like a million other perfumes and had nothing to make it stand out. I swapped mine away after giving it several chances and having it fail to impress me every time. -

I love Demeter - their quirky, unusual, sometimes kooky scents are almost always fun to try, and many end up bringing back great memories via scent recognition. Waffles wasn't one of my favorites, although true to the brand's reputation for accurately reproducing exact smells, it does indeed smell like waffles. My main complaint with Demeter - any of their scents - is that they last exactly 12 seconds on your skin and then they're gone. The price may seem reasonable, but when you realize how many times you have to reapply just to get through the day with the scent you started out with, you're going to be blazing through bottles quicker than you can replace them. That doesn't stop us (me included) from buying them anyway, just because they're so cool and fun :) -

Daisy is a lovely scent, very floral and rich, with great staying power. And the bottle is gorgeous, definitely worthy of a place on your vanity! I wouldn't purchase this myself due to the price, but someone who knew I love pretty bottles gave me an almost empty one and I fell in love with the scent. I was able to trade for another one on a swap site, and although it's not something I would wear every day, I do enjoy it from time to time. -

It's ageless and delicious, and never fails to get me compliments from complete strangers. Love it and always will :) It smells to me like cotton candy, deep vanilla, caramel, and burnt sugar. It dries down deep and musky with a sweet edge that lasts and lasts. A real bargain, too. -
I love Happy! Bright, clean, cheerful, sparkling - it's just an all-around lovely scent that people tend to notice.

Expensive, yes. Bold, rich, and instantly recognizable? Absolutely. This perfume is a classic, with brazen notes that nobody else was brave enough to mix. But you HAVE to have the right skin chemistry for it, or it turns into the worst most goshawful smell you've ever had burn its way into your olafactory nerve center. If you've one of the lucky ones that mixes well with it, and you can stomach the heavy, deep scent that lasts for days (even after washing), then Angel is for you! I personally love it...it sits well on me...but I can't wear it all the time because after a while it becomes too much. And trust me when I say a little bit goes a LONG way - it's extremely easy to go overboard on this scent, so apply with care. More of a signature scent than a daily wear perfume, I tend to save mine for special occasions. The bottle is incredibly beautiful, a lovely little blue crystal star with a silver cap; most of the bottles are refillable so you can save a bit by taking your empty container to the perfume counter to be topped off. -
