Love these pump sanitizers from Bath and Body Works - they're no better in efficacy than the ones you get from the Dollar Store for a buck, except for the fact that they come in the most wonderful scents! It's easy to get addicted to them and justify the extra cost when you're able to walk away from the bathroom sink smelling like pumpkin spice or vanilla cookies instead of alcohol. The seasonal scents are the best, but you have to grab them fast and stock up because they only keep their five basic scents year-round. But in Fall and Winter, they break out the good stuff :) They also recently changed their formula and took out the triclosan, which is big points for them in the earth-friendly/healthier options category. -

These squeeze-tube liquid lipsticks are incredible! They give the coverage of a solid lipstick in a semi-liquid form that glides on smooth and creamy and lasts much longer than a gloss. I've only tried the Melted Peony shade so far, but love it and always find myself reaching for it before any of my other lip colors. Too Faced really scored with this one. Expensive, but a little goes a long way so in my opinion it ends up *almost* being worth it. -

I really wanted to love this lipstick, but I'm finding it hard to be impressed with any aspect of it. The price - too high. The quality - average. The colors - blah. If I'm going to pay $22 for a lipstick, it better make me happy in all kinds of ways, but this one just doesn't. I think the brushed gold casing is the only thing I really, truly like. I didn't find it moisturizing and the colors, while lovely in the website photos, just don't look natural on your lips. Maybe I'll like it more if I try another shade, so I won't write it off entirely, and I do love many other Too Faced products...but this one is just a miss with me for now. -

Hooray for NYX for reformulating their Hot Singles eyeshadows (the round container, not the older square ones) to remove the parabens! Beautiful shades, great color payoff, easy to apply, longlasting and well-wearing. I can't say enough good about these shadows, and the great price is the icing. Now if they would just take the parabens out of the rest of their products...but this is a good start, and the new formula isn't just healthier, it's higher quality than it was before. Ranks with some of the higher-end brands at a much more reasonable price. -

To my nose, this Fall-themed scent is the best Bath and Body Works has come out with, ever - even better than the Winter favorite Vanilla Bean Noel. I don't smell a lot of pumpkin in it, mostly just soft, warm, mildly sweet vanilla with a slightest touch of caramel coffee. Maybe a bit of the marshmallow in there when you first apply. They nailed it when they named this scent "Comfort" - it's like wrapping yourself in a warm snuggly sweater fresh out of the dryer and then settling in with a cup of French Vanilla Cappuccino to read a good book in front of the fireplace. Delicious! My only complaint is that it's not very long-lasting, but layering the fragrance mist with the body cream helps the longevity. I'm afraid that once this leaves the stores it'll be gone forever...hopefully it's been popular enough in its maiden run that they'll bring it back again next Fall. -

At $215.00 for a 1.7 oz bottle, it's not likely I'll ever own a bottle of the real thing - fortunately there are very high quality smell-alikes available all over the web at much more reasonable prices. That said, if I had a chance to get an authentic bottle of something outrageously expensive and totally luxuriously unnecessary, this would be it. Tobacco Vanille is designed for men, but I've been wearing it for years and no one has ever told me I smelled like a man - in fact I've always received lovely compliments on my "delicious perfume". It's a luscious, deep, rich, smokey, biting vanilla with a musky, slightly sweet/dirty edge (the tobacco). So wonderful! Highly recommended on all levels, especially for vanilla lovers. Long lasting, beautiful drydown, definitely a signature scent for the right woman (or man). It's also a comforting scent - I often put it on at bedtime to help me sleep. -

Spicebomb by Viktor & Rolf is an outrageously expensive but outrageously WONDERFUL scent - intended for men, but don't let that stop you. I wear Spicebomb almost daily after purchasing it for my husband. I discovered it through one of those scented pages in a magazine, and instantly fell in love with the rich, bold, spicy, almost-overpowering explosion of seemingly conflicting notes that all end up working perfectly together. To say I love this cologne would be an understatement. Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille is my #1 mens fragrance that I wear myself, but this is a very close second on my favorites list. I like it better than most of the perfumes I own that are made for women, and I own a bunch. The price is prohibitive, but this scent is so strong and powerful that you do NOT need to use much. Very long lasting, I have clothes from two weeks ago that have been through the wash twice and still have the lingering afterglow of this delicious scent. Very highly recommended! -

Excellent eyeshadow in beautiful colors - the sifter jars hold a lot of product, making this an even better deal. One of the most affordable brands around, ELF has really come a long way in the last 10 years. The mineral shadows are 100% natural and are actually good for your skin, with no parabens or questionable chemical ingredients, and apply easily with a decent wear-time. The colors available are very nice, though I'm hoping they'll come out with more variety eventually. The shimmers are very shimmery and the mattes are very matte (the matte shades are more difficult to blend and apply evenly, but the shimmers have a nice creamy consistency). The loose powder isn't easy to apply until you master the technique with a good brush, but once you're used to it, you'll love these. -

A very nice chapstick-style balm with a pleasant coconut scent and mild flavor - but the best thing is that it's full of all-natural organic non-GMO ingredients and none of the scary chemicals and parabens that many other products of this type are overflowing with. Works well, keeps your lips hydrated and moisturized, maybe not for as long as I'd like but the tube lasts a long time even with frequent reapplication. -

I'm not usually a fan of anything from Juicy Couture, generally I feel like most of their products are intended for "trendy" fad-conscious teen girls who have to have a brand name showing on everything they wear, carry, or use. However, this perfume was a very pleasant surprise for me. It came in the Wal-Mart beauty box for Fall, just a small sample vial that I probably would have given away without even sniffing if it hadn't arrived broken. The perfume had soaked everything in the box, and I could smell it the moment I opened my mailbox. It was a good smell, very pleasant, but since I didn't get to try it on I immediately went online and bought a small bottle. I don't know what the notes are in this, but I find it very attractive and much more "mature" than the brand usually indicates. Very long-lasting but not overpowering, unless you overdo it (which is easy to do, because it doesn't fade much in the first few hours). Will definitely keep this in my perfume collection. But...tacky bottle! lol -
