Recently I was sent the lightener/blue color to test. While I do know it will work absolute beauties for others, in my case it did a lot more damage than good (my own fault - it is for sure for lighter shades, even with the lightener!)
Long story short, I had to wait out my green hair result for a day and hit my local Walmart today. Problem is, I don’t have the funds for my usual 12+ dollar dye.
I opted for a cheaper brand, one that I generally wouldn’t use but this was sort of an emergency. I picked up the blue-black dye. Dark enough to cover the green, with a hint of the blue I had originally aimed for in the first place.
Mixing and application was very simple. Pour the contents of one into the other, shake and apply. Loved that. The next is the amount - lottts of product in the bottle which is so very nice to see. Nothing worse then getting halfway through and realizing it won’t be enough.
The product didn’t burn, itch or run. It didn’t reek like other dyes do. And, if wiped soon enough, it hardly stained my ears or neck (which I never protect because laziness). It washed out beautifully and the aftercare conditioner smelled lovely and made my hair extremely soft.
The color popped incredibly well and my hair still feels very soft. I feel that it’s important to note that I’ve dyed my hair THREE times, in less than 24 hours, one of which being a blonde. Needless to say, my hair felt pretty brittle. But after dying and using the conditioner in this box, my curls are back to life and actually softer than before. The blue showed up awesome, which I’m not sure if it’s due to the lightness of my hair from the “green” or not, but I’m in love. My curls are very defined and bouncy which I only ever see after quitting my heat styling products for a while.
All in all, 10/10 and I’ve used many many brands...I will be, for sure, opting for this brand over my usual. How could I not when I save 7+ dollars??

I got this electric blue color along with a lightener as part of being selected for the product review club. I have been wanting to put blue in my hair for quite some time. To get it free, even better.
I will start out the same way I started with my review for the lightener. The instructions....they’re so confusing....it’s all broken down on separate parts of the page. It also references shade colours, of which it shows zero examples for making the numerical shade codes mean absolutely nothing to me.
I wanted to do the pastel. So I followed the directions as best I could. Well, if you follow those, you will have enough dye for about 5 strands of hair (joking, but like, not really). I ended up having to scrap the pastel idea (after already having applied it to my head) and just go straight for the whole head of blue (save me from this orange, please....). It was actually much easier as I could use the entire tube. It does state numerous applications but I would say this applies to streaking or tips, rather than the whole head. The box does NOT state this difference.
I left it in for about 30 minutes. When I washed it out, I was surprised by how soft my hair was. I expected it to feel brittle and dry considering all the damaging I had done in only a short 4 hour time span. The conditioner smelled lovely and worked wonders as well.
As it stated to dry, I noticed that it hardly took to my hair aside from on my scalp. So now I have a blue scalp and patchy orange and blue hair....
In all fairness to the blue, I think this product will work wonderfully on somebody who has already achieved their ideal blonde. It would be best applied as streaks or tips because there is just not enough for a full head application. I’m disappointed as I do think that with enough product it could be a beautiful color for my hair. Depending on the price of the COLOR (not the lightener), I will consider trying this again after having professionally gone blonde.

So, I got this box of lightener with my electric blue as i was selected to take part in the product review. I was ecstatic as I’m always playing with my hair colours and trying new styles. I did a lot of research before applying this product as blonde is not generally what I do.
I will start by saying that the instructions are extremely confusing. I had to read them numerous times and even still was unsure of what the next step was. The instructions are not even all in one section on the page. Not to mention, the instructions mention nothing about the conditioning which threw me off mid-process, thinking I had forgotten to add something.
When I did get it mixed together, my first question was “how is this going to cover my head?”. I have just recently chopped off my hair to about shoulder length. I’ve used boxed dyes in the past, even with long hair, and have had lots left over. I ran out about halfway through my head with this lightener and found myself sticking my fingers in the bottle desperately trying to finish my hair. If you have longer then shoulder length hair, you will need at least 2 boxes but i would say it’s safe to say 3.
The product itself wasn’t bad. It smelled quite good in comparison to other boxed blondes (the eye burning kind). The dye was quite gritty but I didn’t mind that. It doesn’t spread well though, adding to the lack of product to finish the job.
I experienced no itching or discomfort. I left it on for 40 minutes before washing it out. Immediately I noticed my hair is orange as orange comes. It’s patchy and bronze as ever. But oddly enough, on the roots it’s a bleached white blonde. I do think that had there been more product supplied in the mixture, the entire head could be achieved to this platinum effect.
The more it dried the more I cried. All I could think to myself was “what on earth have I done”. I had planned on doing the blue the next day, to save the health of my hair but, I couldn’t even look in the mirror with this....bronze orange mop sitting on top of my head. Not reccommended...........and if you do choose to use this lightener. Get an extra couple of boxes. Or at least a backup emergency due to fix the mess it leaves........

Absolutely fell in love with this product when my hairdresser used it on me in-salon. Mind you, I am somebody that would typically go to my local Walmart and buy what’s on sale as a means to save money, even if I have the money to spend. I bought this after dwelling over it for a couple of months and have no regrets. The smell is absolutely irresistible and my hubby loves to smell my hair when I use it. It also leaves my hair super soft and gives it just enough moisture. You have to be sure not to apply it to the roots as they will get greasy but other than that, top of the line and well worth the money. Not to mention it lasts forever. -

I do like these for work as they’re a lot less messy and look much more professional. However I do find that it’s annoying when the tape bunches up.....the only flaw about it. Otherwise the quality is good and they’re ALOT smoother and neater... +
