I think the sweet scent might work well if you're younger but not so well if you're looking for a more sophisticated perfume. This is a good 'starter' perfume though because the smell is pleasant, fruity and sweet. It's a safe choice if you're just started off with perfume and want to go for youthful and fun, but it wouldn't be my first choice if you're going for something more sophisticated.

I prefer clean, citrusy scents that are light and refreshing. Hence, I absolutely love this perfume! This is one of my favourite perfumes that can be worn all day, especially in the spring or summer time. It's crisp and clean with hints of floral (but not too much) making it a nice clean refreshing scent.
Definitely a good choice for someone who prefers a more light and fresh type of fragrance. If you have a tendency to like slightly fruity or citrusy scents, I would definitely recommend that you check this one out.

This perfume has a nice floral, sophisticated scent with traces of jasmine and honeysuckle. The smell is quite intense however, so I would not recommend this perfume if you were going for a light, floral and fresh scent. The scent has some weight to it and I find it better suited for night time during an elegant or sophisticated evening.
It's also a scent that I would recommend for someone who is very confident in her choice of fragrances. It isn't something that I would recommend someone who is just starting out. (but this is only based on my personal experience as I started off with cleaner, fresher scents first and then worked my way up to the more exotic ones).
However, it is a nice scent for the right person and occasion.

This moisturizer, in my opinion, was THE best moisturizer on the market based on hydrating, illuminating properties and price point. It won awards in the beauty section if Elle magazine. Unfortunately, the Body Shop stopped making this line and have replaced it with the Nutragenics line instead.
I'll have to see if the Nutragenics line can live up the Kinetin line. They say that the Nutragenic line is supposed to be even better because of the ingredients that are used (they are 'certified organic'). However, the Nutragenic line doesn't have any specific illuminating creams per se.
I will be trying the Nutragenics line to see how it compares. But the Body Shop Illuminating Face Treatment with Kinetin was definitely one of the best face creams.

I personally think that this is the best color out of all the Body Shop eye shadows. I originally got it as a gift and have been buying this color ever since. My friend who originally 'picked out' the color actually asked the Body Shop sales assistant which color she would recommend. Pink Champagne was recommended and I can totally understand why.
This eye shadow compliments most skin tones/complexions and has a great saturation of color and shimmer without being over the top. It also blends well with other colors. It can be used a general color over the eyelid, as an accent color in the creases or for creating a elegant, soft, smoky eye. I love the versatility and effectiveness of this eye shadow color.

Like most things with the Body Shop Vitamin E line, I have used this moisturizer as well. I usually use the regular Vitamin E day cream but I tend to use this one in the summer due to the added SPF 15. The great thing about this product is that I don't have to apply sunscreen on my face separately in addition to my regular day cream (which results in my face feeling really greasy afterwards). The bad thing is that it feels slightly more greasy than the regular Vitamin E day cream (that doesn't have SPF).
However, I still find this to be a very good product because it doesn't feel as greasy compared to if you were to use a sunscreen lotion separately and it's added sun protection. Plus it saves you a step. I think of it as a 2-in-1 for skin care - moisturizer and sun protection. This is definitely a good product for people who want to take care of their skin and are sun conscious.

I use this moisturizer all the time. In fact, I find most of the Vitamin E line at the Body Shop to be very good if you're looking for a general all-purpose skin care line. I first got hooked on the Vitamin E line when I was in highschool and used their Vitamin E soap (which they don't have anymore - they replaced it with their cream face wash instead). I noticed that my face felt really soft and supple afterwards.
My skin was also prone to break outs and I noticed, that when I used the Vitamin E line, that the scarring that would result from blemishes would go away faster than when I wasn't using Vitamin E. Perhaps I'm biased by the what I've heard about Vitamin E helping to reduce the appearance of scars, but for me, I believe it works.
The day cream is a light moisturizer and good for general hydration. However, if you find that your skin is quite dry you may need a more intense moisturizer. I like the Vitamin E day cream because it's light, absorbs well and isn't greasy. It's a nice light moisturizer in the summer. However, in the winter, I tend to use moisturizers that are a little heavier due to the drier climate.
This is still a good general all-round moisturizer though. And it has a nice, refreshing scent that isn't too strong. The price point is also reasonable compared to other day creams that are on the market.

This is a great book. It's part of a 3 part series. So far I've read the first two and I can't wait to get my hands on the third/last book. A colleague of mine recommended these books to me when I told her how disappointed I was with the Twilight series.
I am so glad that she recommended these books to me! This is how a suspence/romance/thriller book should read! I'm not an avid reader by any means so I was surprised when I totally zipped through the book in 3 days! I highly recommend this series.
If they make a movie about it, I am definitely going to go watch it (and I know that they will definitely be better than Twllight). =P

I haven't used any hair coloring product previously because I always went the salon to get it done "professionally". To be honest, I was always wary about using the ones that you could purchase in the drugstore and wasn't sure if they were gentle on the hair, worked as well or if was something that I could do myself. This product works just as well as going to a salon! It is very easy to use and the applicator keeps the mess to a minimum. It also makes it very easy to mix and apply. I must say, even for a self-home hair coloring newbie like me, this product was very easy to use and produced great results. It was effective a covering my white hairs and the color matched my hair color. It looks very natural! I am very pleased with this product and would definitely use it again. -

I have been a fan of the Blo hair salons since they originally launched in Vancouver. Ecstatic that they made their way to Toronto, I have been to a couple of their locations.
The concept is fantastic in that they are strictly a blow dry salon. The price is right at $30-35 and their aim is to get you in and out in 30 minutes. However, I have noticed that the experience level of their staff members is hit and miss. I went to the one at the Four Seasons and the girl was quick, efficient and did an excellent job.
Unfortunately, the stylist I had at the Bloor West Village location made the cardinal hair styling mistake and burnt my hair! I scheduled a deep conditioning Moroccan oil and blow dry and although I was happy with the way the treatment and style turned out, I noticed later on that my hair had the distinct smell of being burnt. To make matters worst, the next day I noticed that my hair looked dry and brittle (not something you would expect after having a Moroccan oil treatment) but the most alarming thing was that my hair started falling out everywhere!
Since it appeared that my hair got damaged and overprocessed during the blow dry and style, I called the salon to see if anything could be done and all I was told was to just deep condition my hair once a week with a restorative deep conditioning treatment about once a week until my hair got back to it's usual condition. They took no responsibility for what happened to my hair and just said that it was probably dry due to the cold whether!
I would never expect that I should have to undertake the responsibility of reversing the damage that was inflicted to my hair at a professional salon. I am shocked that no effort was made whatsoever to help rectify situation. So now, I have to purchase over $60 in deep restorative conditioning products to reverse a blo dry and style that costed $35.
My advice - go to the location at the Four Seasons. =)
