This is a great product! I used to shy away from liquid eye liners because I found them very hard to apply and thought I didn't have a steady enough hand to do a good job. But when I tried this product, I realized it was because I wasn't using the right kind of brush. I remember using the liquid eye liners that have the small brush (disaster) but the felt tip brush that is on this product makes it ideal for beginners (yay!).
The brush on this product looks like a fine, felt tip marker. It's flexible and the fine tip point makes it easy to try different techniques. You can draw a line along your lash line (classic), you can draw a line a little further to extend the length of your lash line or draw a thicker line (more dramatic), or you can dot in between your lashes for a more subtle look but still adding definition.
I absolutely love this product. The only downside (unfortunately, there is a small downside) is that this product does smudge a little bit when I wear it for a long period of time. Darn it! Otherwise it would have been perfect! I still like this product however - I have finally moved over from using eye pencils to liquid eye liner. I don't think I'm going back anytime soon. =)

This is a good overall lip gloss. I received it from Chickadvisor in the "Pink Diamonds" shade - a candy pink color with a bit of shimmer. I like the small, compact size and the small sponge that you use to apply the lip gloss. It makes it very easy to apply. This lip gloss goes on very smooth and is moisturizing without being overly sticky. However, I find that it doesn't have the same kind of staying power as some other lip glosses. The color and sparkles are very subtle and it's a great light, shimmery lip gloss for the summer. If you are looking for a lip gloss that just adds a touch of color, some moisure and a subtle shimmer, I would recommend this product. -

Eye primers are great for brightening the area around the eyes and reducing the look of dark circles. They can also act as a base for eye shadow making it last all day/night. It's a great two in one product.
This product is great in that it goes on very smooth and the color does make the eyes look brighter. It provides just enough highlighting without looking overdone. The one downside is that it only comes in one color so it might not complement your skin tone.

I tend to stay away from bronzers because the color tends to looks really fake and unnatural when I use them. I've used powdered bronzers and cream/gel bronzers in the past.
The thing that I like about this bronzer is that the color is very natural and it goes on very evenly. I think it's the combination of the colored pigment (it's not too orangy, it's more of a neutral/beige color) and the fact that the powder is very fine. It goes on fine and even and it is easy to make the color more intense by applying more if you want.
I really do like this product. Sometimes I use even use it as a blush or for contouring around my cheekbones. Great product!

I saw these at Beestung Lingerie at Yonge and Eglinton. I've never really been into thongs because they just look uncomfortable. However, I remember that this particular brand was rated highly on Chickadvisor and people said that they were very comfortable so I decided that I would just buy one to try out.
They are one size (which makes it easy) and they are so stretchy it allows them to fall under a range of sizes. And yes, they are comfortable. They don't dig in and the lace is not itchy - it's very soft and elastic. However, because they are lace it doesn't solve the visible panty line problem because on very soft materials you can still see the texture of the lace. But in general they work well. The style is not bad, I have seen styles that are prettier but perhaps that's the trade off you have to make for comfort. ;) However, I find them a little pricey at $25 each.
I'm still looking for a really comfortable thong that you can't detect even with the softest fabics. Not sure if it exists but I've heard good things about the Calvin Klein Naked thongs. I still prefer boy shorts but maybe after trying a couple different types or thongs, I might be converted. =)

Dark Horse on Spadina is my new favourite cafe in Toronto. The space is amazing *and* they know how to pull a good espresso! =) I heard the space used to be an art gallery and you can tell. So chic and artsy - exposed brick walls, an industrial feel, high ceilings, great natural light - I love the place!
The space has got this great city, urban buzz to it. People have their laptops out and are doing their work on one of the large communcal tables. Think Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City. ;)
I recommend that everyone check this place out. Not only is it a beautiful space, but they have baristas that make great espresso-based drinks. Plus, unlike many of the hardcore coffee shops, the environment is more upscale (not so underground/grunge) and they don't mind if you sit around for awhile and enjoy your beverage, have a conversation, write on your blog about how good their coffee is, etc. ;)
Finally, a coffee place that's pretty central to downtown where the coffee is good and the atmosphere rocks!

I received this product from the Product Review Club and have to say that I was really disappointed with it. I don't like the packaging as it feels/looks cheap and is quite cumbersome to use. There are two separate tubes of product (one on each side). The first tube you apply around the edges of your lips to moisturize the skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines and the other you apply directly on the lips which is supposed to provide some sort of 'plumping action'.
I found that neither tube really worked. The tube that contained the cream for moisturizing the skin around the lips had a small, narrow opening which makes it difficult to apply and provide maximum coverage for moisturizing. The tube that contained the cream for plumping the lips had a better applicator which was wider and angled making it easy to apply on the lips. However, I didn't feel that it provided any plumping to my lips. Usually I can fill some sort of tingling with glosses that provide plumping action but felt nothing with this product.
Also, both creams are white and opaque which can make it a little messy and difficult to apply. You have to make sure that the cream is well incorporated into your lips otherwise you can see the product which can be quite embarrassing. It would have been much better if the product was clear/transparent.
I would not recommend this product because the packaging looks cheap, it’s not easy to use and it doesn’t seem to work.

I recieved this product as part of the Chick Advisor product review club. I received them in two scents - Wild Rose and Natural Fresh. At first I was a little worried as I am picky about what scents I choose when selecting an anti-perspirant. However, when applied, both scents are very subtle and not too strong.
This anti-perspirant goes on really smooth and I was actually quite impressed. It is not as chalky as its white solid counterparts. I was also impressed wtih the fact that it left the skin underneath my arms smooth and non-flaky while fighting odor the whole day.
I find that anti-perpirants that are very good at providing all day protection also have a tendency to dry out my skin, but not with this product. The only negative thing I have to say about this product is that it didn't seem to make any difference on making my underarm hair less noticeable (which is how it is marketed).
However, if you're looking for an effective anti-perpirant that fights against odor while not drying out your skin, I would definitely recommend this product.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this body lotion by Vaseline. I found the shape of the bottle confusing because at first glance I assumed it was shower gel. When I read the words "body lotion" I realized it was for moisturizing. =)
My first impression was that it was quite thin and watery compared to the usual products I use (Lubriderm lotion, Aveeno and Body Shop's body butter). However, I was really impressed with its ability to moisturize all day long - and it's not greasy! I would definitely recommend this product. I love the fact that it's both effective and not greasy/heavy. Who would have thought?
I also gave some to my friend to try out and she said that she found her skin to be less scaly when she used this product compared to the other body lotion that she usually uses.
The only downside is that it has a scent which some people might be sensitive to. So I would only recommend this to someone who doesn't mind things that are scented.

This is a great eye make-up remover for the price. It works well and the price is quite reasonable.
It does a good job of removing eye make-up, but I find that I have to go over the area quite a number of times before all the make-up is removed compared to the more high end brands. Removing waterproof and long lasting make-up takes some effort with this product.
However, I think it is a good product for the price.
