I know that most people already know about Lindt chocolate truffles (after all, they come with the Swiss Chalet Festive Special!), but I had to write a quick 'reminder' review on them ever since I tried them in a new recipe this Christmas and was reminded exactly how good they can be! To be specific, I made a new cupcake recipe that called for a Lindt chocolate truffle in the centre of each cupcake - and Oh My Goodness, these chocolates made the cupcakes gourmet! I used the dark chocolate balls since I love dark chocolate myself, but you could use any flavour (even mint or white would be delicious, depending on the flavour of the batter) - I have now gone on a Lindt kick again, and these truffles are to die for! -

I eat this cereal almost every morning. The flakes are nice and light (i.e., not overly thick or dense), but stay crunchy in milk. The berries are 'real' (dehydrated) berries, and there are lots of them in the box. IT's not overly sweet, but sweet enough that you don't have to add any sugar. The price is comparable to other cereals, and the box is a good size. It's also not too bad for you (i.e., low sugar and calories per serving) - I often eat handfuls straight out of the box (in front of the TV at night) and have absolutely no guilt about it! -

I love this face cream - not only does it go on smoothly and absorb quickly, it has a nice light scent that is not overpowering, it has SPF for daily protection, and it's not over-priced. It comes in a 120mL bottle (which is much larger than most), so it lasts for months (I use it twice a day), but the bottle is a nice size/shape to fit in a woman's hand and be 'used' properly (i.e., easy to hold and pump at the same time). I have used this product for years, and will continue to do so for many more to come, I'm sure. -

My family and I recently decided to try Sisters Buffet Restaurant in Scarborough, Ontario (4 Old Kingston Rd. ) for a large family gathering/reunion. It had been recommended to us by a friend who lives close by, and it sounded about right for what we wanted (i.e., casual atmosphere, great food, buffet, etc.). It ended up being a fantastic place. I don't even really like buffets usually, but this one was really excellent - the food was delicious and there was tons of selection (everything from the 'usual' buffet stuff to mussels, to sushi, to pastas and tons of cold salads and breads). The service was also excellent (waters were kept topped-up, drinks were brought quickly, and used plates were always taken away when they needed to be). I would (and have already) recommend this place to friends without hesitation. -

I hope others have already tried Pizza Rustica (37 Blue Jays Way, Toronto), but just in case you haven't - I'm here to tell one and all (especially those that love gourmet pizza) to give it a try. From the outside it's nothing fancy, but it's in a great location in Toronto (Entertainment District, in case you're going to a show before or after), and the food and inside atmosphere are wonderful. First of all, they have about a million kinds of gourmet pizza that are delicious and not over-priced. They will also do substitutions to suit youru personal tastes. The pastas and salads are great too, for those who don't want pizza, but I've tried almost all of their pizzas and would highly recommend all of them. The atmosphere is sort of 'upscale casual', and not at all pretentious. It's owned by 2 younger men (brothers?) who obviously take pride in their food and restaurant. -
