Last year, I wrote a review on Sinky, Trashy and Flushy and more recently, they have added Surfy and Moppy to their collection! Oh, and there’s Glassy, too. I get a pretty good giggle outta those names. If you haven’t heard of these unique probiotic cleaning products, give them a try! They are phosphate/APE-free, eco-friendly, non-toxic and biodegradable, meaning safe for you, your children and fur babies. According to their website, this product uses beneficial organisms that clean over time. This means that when you use the product, it will continue to work until the next time you clean.
The ingredients in Moppy are quite simple: Soda Ash, Baking Soda, Corn Sugar, Citrus Extract, Plant Based Surfactant, and Natural Enzymes.
I placed a tablet in the middle of my kitchen floor (I use an extra wide microfiber mop, so no hands and knees scrubbing and no bucket) and poured warm water over it to dissolve the tablet. I let it sit for a while before I proceeded to mop the floor and it worked quite well. It even conquered some stains on my floor that were left from my leaky Bissell steam mop. I know that sounds strange, but whatever leaked out of it left a yellow ring on my floor. In hindsight, I should have taken before and afters.
Maybe next time!

I love serendipity. Why? Because it led to the invention of Dot.Mine Planners, which are AWEEEEEEEEESOME!!
I was sent the Purple Pebbles planner — a product developed to help FAMILIES get organized.
I won’t be able to use it until the end of July, but let me tell you…I LOVE the ample space and the lines. My writing always curves up, so having those lines will really help me maximize space. The empty sections on the bottom corners accommodate sticky notes, photos, business cards, etc. I can’t imagine having a separate planner for everything, but potentially, this could be used by anyone from business execs to students to stay at home moms. Schedule your classes, appointments, community activities and everything else you couldn’t fit into those 1 inch by 1 inch squares of conventional planners. I also love that the gray shaded area is actually a perforated strip, which you can fold over and keep your place. Genius!! With the convenient folders inside, you can organize by term, too.
These are also unique because they are 17 month planners. That’s actually pretty well thought out, if you ask me. At less than $20, you won’t be disappointed! (Pssst: They also have an English/Spanish bilingual planner if that interests you.)
It gets better. Dot.Mine kindly offered a planner to twenty winners and THAT giveaway will go live later this month, so be sure to check back here and snag yourself one. Kids love them, too. Just ask my daughter… she was ready to take a crayon to it until I realized she had opened my mail and claimed the planner for herself. LOL.

As a college student and mom, I am alllll about saving time. Most people get frustrated with cookbooks because they have complicated steps, require too many fancy ingredients, or don’t contain enough “keeper” recipes. How many of these issues did I have with a cookbook from Gooseberry Patch? NONE WHATSOEVER. As much as I like to think I cook from scratch, I always have some canned goods filling up my pantry shelves. Most of the time, I like to do something more than just open the can, heat the ingredients and serve. It’s like being a competitor on Chopped. You have to TRANSFORM the ingredients somehow.
I love chicken and dumplings and the recipe in this cookbook had to be the easiest I have ever made. I can’t believe I never thought to use canned biscuits. I used all organic ingredients and found a can of refrigerated biscuits in the “healthy” food aisle at Fred Meyers. The only thing I would change for next time is making sure the contents are boiling when I add the biscuit dough. I was at school all day, so my fiance turned the soup down to low. When I added the biscuit dough, it was soft and spongey. It didn’t have enough texture. I am fairly certain it was because the soup was not boiling hot.

Zevia has been growing in popularity and if you haven’t heard about it yet, you’re definitely going to read about it now.
If you’re a soda junkie like me (terrible, I know), you may be looking for an alternative to help you kick the habit. I don’t know how many people drink diet soda as opposed to regular soda, but I have heard diet is MUCH worse for you (probably because of aspartame and/or Splenda). The flavors for Zevia are hard to describe, but the aftertaste is similar to that of diet soda.
Zevia has ZERO calories and is sweetened with Stevia and Erythritol. [Note: Stevia has been used to help regulate the digestive tract and I have heard it is something to avoid if you have Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).]
Zevia provides an alternatives to the sugar dependent because sugar consumption is related to diabetes and obesity. There’s 39g of sugar in a can of Coca-Cola and 0g sugar in a can of Z-Cola. One can of Coca-Cola contains more sugar than is recommended daily for an adult male. Replacing whatever soda you drink on a regular basis with Zevia saves you that many calories and that many grams of sugar. Zevia has very little sodium and does contain caffeine. Serve it cold and right out of the can for optimal taste.

I'm 29 and I've had acne since I turned 18. I suffer from large pores, blackheads and terrible breakouts. I've tried all kinds of soaps from bars to liquids and nothing has worked as well as Adovia. I follow up with their raw yellow shea butter and my skin has never looked better. It has a really rich lather and my face feels really soft afterwards! I would recommend only washing once every other day to start and then working up to once a day if needed. If you overdo it, your skin will get dry and break out more. I don't know what it is about this soap that my skin responds so well to, but as far as I'm concerned, it is a miracle!
The price is a little steep, though for me, it is so much better than throwing my money away on expensive skin care systems that over-promise and do not deliver.
