Today I gave my beloved 12 yr old springer spaniel/beagle mix Lilly a Milkbone brushing chew. She was choking and she could have died. It was traumatizing and terrifying. Luckily she's OK. She likes to play with her treats and holds them off the floor the whole time; probably because she doesn't want the other dog to try to take it. Sometimes she even does a cute little trick where she throws it a little bit up and then catches it with her mouth. She was doing that but then she kept doing it... and started to panic like she couldn't breathe and luckily we could easily take it out with our fingers.
I think there is a potential design flaw in this product people should be aware of... they are very skinny and could easily slip down the windpipe and cause obstruction. They are also weirdly slick in texture. They feel slippery, almost as if they were coated in shellac. This never happened with Dentasticks which I have given them regularly for a long time. From now on I will only give little chewy bite sized treats. Please be careful with this product, especially if you have a senior dog, a dog with dental problems or an enthusiastic eater that doesn't chew much. I will never buy another brushing chew as long as I live. The regular milkbones don't have the weird slick texture.

I really dislike supplement products like this. It's capitalizing off real public interest in scientific developments like the effort to make a pill that cures hangover. Supplements have basically no standards of evidence that they have to work and actually do something to get on the market. Many of them are contaminated with other substances and even heavy metals. I'm excited that there may be a hangover cure pill but I don't like supplement companies exploiting people's interest in that and offering something with no evidence. A similar thing has been done with interest in a sunscreen pill. This is a real thing that's being developed as we speak but supplement companies took advantage of people's interest in that and mislead them by selling their own "sunscreen pill" supplements that they haven't proven that they work. -

These were released just after I bought the "Just a Drop" toilet products. I'm pretty happy about it because there are good coupons for VI.POO and its cheaper than the common brands of this kind of product that were out before. The point of this product is to spray it in the toilet before you use the washroom so that the smell of the waste is trapped instead of released into the air, stinking up your bathroom. It succeeds in this. Good amount of product in the bottle compared to competitors. The scents aren't as good as some of the competitors who offer yummy fruity ones. VI.POO smells kind of fake floraly, which some people hate. I don't mind it though. It's much better than the smell of human waste. The only real problem with it is more to do with my water at home, I think. If you spray it in before you go and some of the waste of higher than the water level of your toilet, the smell will still escape and I'm not sure entirely what you're supposed to do when that happens. Just a Drop said just spray some of it on the waste itself, even if you already put some in the toilet beforehand. The instructions give no advice on what to do in this situation though, for both VI.POO and competitor Just a Drop. -

From my understanding, one of the active ingredients in this toothpaste is brand new, created by Colgate. That is a very exciting thing to me. Like their commercials say, its supposed to repair sensitive teeth rather than numbing it temporarily like conventional sensitivity toothpastes do. The uniqueness of this active lead me to buy it enthusiastically. It does make a difference. It doesn't have the most pleasant texture and sometimes will easily fall off the toothbrush and just doesn't have the same smoothness of regular toothpastes nor as good a taste but these are reasonable trade offs for me for getting to use an innovative new product. It's more expensive than normal toothpaste but not unreasonably. -

I bought this product because I had been buying a special clinical deodorant from Denmark called Pesperix. It's almost 20 bucks! Around 17 at Walmart from what I can remember, not including tax. The Perspirex had a very high level of aluminum and claimed to work for a full week but it also says on the directions that you need to reapply every three days or so. I bought Degree Clinical because it's a lot cheaper than Perspirex but is still strong. I'm chronically ill so being able to skip a day or two of deodorant application is a very valuable feature to me. I bought the Degree Clinical that reacts to stress sweat. It's good for me because I have anxiety. It seems to work, I can smell a good scent coming from my underarms even when I'm stressed. Normally stress sweat smells worse apparently so it's good a product was designed to deal with that particular thing. I've been using Degree Clinical to replace my typical deodorant and I think I'm going to stick with it because it's still high strength, I love the scent (Perspirex is scent-free) and the product is a bit creamy and easily spreadable like a lotion, which I like. -
