I was sent a FREE full sized 166 ml tube of AVEENO Eczema Care Daily Moisturizing Cream plus a FREE full sized 150 ml pump bottle of AVEENO Eczema Care Rescue Relief Gel to try in exchange for my honest review. I tested both of these steroid free Aveeno Eczema Care products simultaneously for a couple of weeks.
I used AVEENO Eczema Care Daily Moisturizing Cream on my drier skin, mainly on my arms. This cream provided instant soothing hydration, without causing any redness or allergic reaction. Made with triple oat and ceramides, it's formulated for eczema prone, sensitive skin. This cream claims to help strengthen skin's moisture barrier. It was not greasy, but I found the texture to be too heavy, especially for this time of year. This daily moisturizing cream would be better to use during the colder, winter months. I prefer the lighter texture of the Gel over this Cream.
I appreciate that this eczema care cream is steroid free, paraben free, and made with non-GMO oats. This product is labeled fragrance free, but to me, it still has a mild oatmeal like scent. I recommend AVEENO Eczema Care Daily Moisturizing Cream to those with eczema prone, dry, and sensitive skin, who are looking to temporarily relieve itchy, red, dry, and irritated skin.

I've been able to test this product for several weeks now, and have previously tried other Neutrogena Hydro Boost products.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream is an effective lightweight facial moisturizer. I typically use gel moisturizers during the warmer months (i.e. summertime in Manitoba), when my combination skin is oilier, and requires less hydration. When my skin is dryer (i.e. during the colder months), I prefer a cream moisturizer. This Gel Cream is made for Extra Dry skin, so it offers the best of both worlds - a lightweight refreshing gel texture, plus long lasting hydration! Ideal for Combination skin.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost's quenching moisturizers include Purified Hyaluronic Acid and Olive Extract, that promise to "help boost skin's vital hydration & strengthen the skin's barrier". I like that this Gel Cream is Oil-free, Fragrance-free, Dye-free, Paraben-free, Phthalate-free, and Non-Comedogenic.
It absorbed quickly into my skin, making my face feel cool, soothed, and instantly hydrated. It did not irritate my sometimes sensitive skin. It felt clean and not too sticky. Great to use for skin prep, before make up application, especially if your skin is extra dry. It definitely provides a supple look, and left my skin very dewy and smooth. Overall this product made my T-zone a bit too shiny, but it definitely delivered on the hydration boost.
In my mid 40s I'm only getting the odd cycle related breakout, so I'm not sure how well this product would work on acne-prone skin. I think Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hyaluronic Acid Gel Cream is suitable for those who have Extra-Dry skin, Combination skin, and even Sensitive skin. Give it a try if your looking to add a hydrating gel cream to your skin care routine.

I was lucky to test both of these Aveeno Calm + Restore Age Renewal products for a few weeks now. They both provided instant soothing hydration, without causing any redness or dryness.
I'm just starting to include serums into my skin care routine. After using Aveeno Calm + Restore Age Renewal Serum my skin felt smooth and hydrated. Some products that contain retinols can be harsh on my sensitive skin. Along with Aveeno's trademark soothing Colloidal Oatmeal, this product contains Cranberry Extract, a plant based retinol-like ingredient that claims to help improve the look of fine lines, moisture, and increase collagen production the way regular retinol does.
I like that this non-comedogenic product is lightweight, hypoallergenic, paraben free, phthalate free, alcohol free, and dye-free. Aveeno Calm + Restore Age Renewal Serum is Fragrance Free, but to me has a mild oatmeal like scent. I think this product is good for all skin types, including dry and sensitive skin. I recommend this new product to people, especially those over 35 years old, who are looking for a calming and restoring facial serum to add to their skin care routine.

I love a good eye gel! I make an effort to use a smoothing eye cream or gel in my daily skin care routine. My eyes appear less tired looking, and less puffy after using Aveeno Calm + Restore Age Renewal Eye Gel. Some products that contain retinols can be harsh on my sensitive skin. I've been using the Flawless Finishing Touch Facial Hair Remover for the past 14 days. I've found it to be very gentle on my skin! I could never use bleach, or hair removal creams, on my face as they are far too harsh and irritating on my skin. I don't like the chemicals in those products. They might remove the hair, but not without taking some of my epidermis. No joke. My skin would burn and be left with a red rash. Some wax strips are made for sensitive skin, and these could be an option, but I'd much rather use a 100% pain free facial hair remover tool. I was using a battery-operated personal hair trimmer to remove my peach fuzz. The trimmer worked well enough, but sometimes the blades would scratch my skin, or pinch. This Flawless Finishing Touch beauty grooming tool was easy to use and effectively removed my fine facial hair. Left my skin feeling smooth. No nicks. No skin pulling. I'm not sure how long this device will work. It's worked well the past 2 weeks. The hardest thing was installing the battery. The shape of the gold plated head is perfect for rounding the face. It has a removable compartment that collects the cut hairs. Be sure to clean that out regularly to help prevent clogs. Great to use before make up application. I love the built in light to help see the peach fuzz and any stray hairs (i.e. that rogue chin hair). This Flawless Facial Hair Remover device is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin. It may not work well on women with coarser or more significant facial hair. This tool is great for touch ups. Recently saw this product on sale at Shoppers Drug Mart , so I bought a second one. My Mom wants one now too! Flawless Finishing Touch Facial Hair Remover is chic looking, lightweight, compact, and great for travel. There's absolutely nothing wrong with rocking your natural facial hair ladies, but if you want to tame those strays, I recommend this product to anyone looking for a gentle and convenient hair remover.

My husband and I regularly use our home Keurig machine because it is convenient. I mostly appreciate the variety of all the different coffees, and other beverages, I can make. Recyclable K-Cups are easy to use, and are perfect when making one cup of coffee.
I look forward to my daily cup of coffee. I have purchased McCafé Coffee K-Cups before, but this is the first time I've tried the new McCafé French Vanilla Medium Roast Coffee flavour. The vanilla aroma smelt delicious while the Keurig was brewing! When I first tried a cup, I used the Large 10 oz cup setting, and drank my coffee black. This is a Medium Roast, so if you like your coffee stronger, I recommend using the Medium 8 oz or smaller 6 oz cup setting.
I found this cup of 100% Arabica coffee tasted slightly bitter. The French Vanilla flavour was delicate, and not too sweet. Made with natural flavours. For my next cup I added a splash of fresh cream, which made for a smoother cup of coffee.
It has that familiar signature McCafé Premium Roast coffee taste. Iced, this K-Cup coffee tasted similar too McDonald's McCafé Iced Vanilla Coffee.
This product claims to be made from 100% Ethically Sourced Arabica Coffee Beans, and is stamped with the Rainforest Alliance certification seal. Coffee drinkers who use K-Cups should give McCafé French Vanilla Medium Roast Coffee a try!

I was still dealing with a bad cough and cold when I tried a glass of Sambucol Black Elderberry Daily Immune Drink Powder. I mixed one 3g pouch with cold water and an ice cube. The beet root powder gave the drink a nice berry red colour. It has a pleasant berry taste, which is not too tart, and not too sweet.
This dietary supplement claims to be Scientifically Tested and Great Tasting, to help Support Immunity plus Cold & Flu Relief. This natural health product can be taken by the whole family (ages 4+). It is Gluten Free and Vegetarian.
Sambucol Black Elderberry Advanced Immune Drink Powder with Vitamin C can be taken daily for immune support, or when sick, to help relieve cold and flu symptoms such as fever, cough, mucus buildup & sore throat.
I won't be taking this product daily, but I would try is again during cold and flu season. The pouches are convenient and great for travel. I recommend this good tasting, easy to use product to those looking for natural immunity support and/or cold and flu relief.

I tested this Aveeno Tone + Texture Renewing Body Scrub for nearly one week. I used this head to toe product in the shower, on my wet skin. I mostly focused on lightly scrubbing my upper arms, elbows and knees as these are my more bumpy or rougher skin areas. I could use this product 2-3 times a week to gently exfoliate my sensitive skin and help even out my skin tone. This Aveeno body scrub left my skin feeling clean, hydrated, soft, and smoother. The scrub’s prebiotic oat formula is easy to squeeze out of the tube. I find many body scrubs are in containers with lids, and they can get messy to use.
Aveeno Tone + Texture Renewing Body Scrub is suitable for all skin types, including dry and sensitive skin. It’s Fragrance Free, but to me has a very mild oatmeal like scent. The texture has enough exfoliant to it that it was effective yet still gentle on my sensitive skin. It did not irritate and was moisturizing enough. I like that this product is lightweight, and claims to be paraben-free, sulfate-free, phthalate-free, soap-free, and dye-free. I recommend this Aveeno Body Scrub to anyone looking to add gentle exfoliation to their skin care routine.

My family prefers hanging and displaying bright white Christmas lights, and these Indoor/Outdoor NOMA Icicle Lights are Pure White. They were nice and bright!
The 7’2” length of lights, about 14 icicles, were a bit tricky to untangle. The icicles look more like small vines. We decided to try out these Indoor/Outdoor NOMA lights inside our home. We have very cold winters in Manitoba, and we would need several more sets of these lights to decorate our roof or front porch.
Inside we could display these lights around our small kitchen island. The lights plug in at both ends, and an extension cord was needed to get power from the nearest outlet to where we set up the lights. They looked nice on our stair railing/banister (see photo). Our favourite place for these lights were on our fireplace (see photo). We are currently not using our fireplace. Please note that these lights should NOT be used anywhere near a heat source, as per the instructions included in the box.
I like that these LED lights claim to use up to 90% less energy. They have a 5 year warranty. These Mini LED NOMA Icicle Lights are pretty, but not very practical. I think these lights would be nice to use if you like the “icicle look” and have the right place to hang them.

I don’t miss the days I woke up to a face full of juicy acne, but I still get the odd pimple. Blame the breakouts on my cycle. Now that my son is in Middle School, I’m not the only one dealing with changing hormones. We decided to try out these new PanOxyl PM Overnight Spot Patches together before attending an out of province family wedding.
This product claims to deliver “advanced overnight healing technology.” We targeted our pimples by applying the PanOxyl Patches to the juiciest of our zits, on cleansed, dry faces, before bed time. We had one sheet of 10 patches to work with, in two different sizes (5 bigger patches & 5 smaller patches). These patches were very handy and easy to use. Super convenient for travel!! Total space savers. More importantly, the patches seemed to work! In the morning our treated pimples appeared smaller, and white heads or inflamed red pimples were more dried out. You could even leave on these patches in the day time, as they are not very noticeable. My sample came with two PanOxyl product coupons and I plan on using them. I recommend these innovative overnight spot patches to people of all ages looking to treat all stages of their acne.
