I don’t miss the days I woke up to a face full of juicy acne, but I still get the odd pimple. Blame the breakouts on my cycle. Now that my son is in Middle School, I’m not the only one dealing with changing hormones. We decided to try out these new PanOxyl PM Overnight Spot Patches together before attending an out of province family wedding.
This product claims to deliver “advanced overnight healing technology.” We targeted our pimples by applying the PanOxyl Patches to the juiciest of our zits, on cleansed, dry faces, before bed time. We had one sheet of 10 patches to work with, in two different sizes (5 bigger patches & 5 smaller patches). These patches were very handy and easy to use. Super convenient for travel!! Total space savers. More importantly, the patches seemed to work! In the morning our treated pimples appeared smaller, and white heads or inflamed red pimples were more dried out. You could even leave on these patches in the day time, as they are not very noticeable. My sample came with two PanOxyl product coupons and I plan on using them. I recommend these innovative overnight spot patches to people of all ages looking to treat all stages of their acne.

This product claims to provide “Fast Effective Relief of Fever & Pain”. Over the past decade, my family has used Children’s Tylenol products to effectively reduce fever and temporarily relieve minor pain due to colds or flu, headaches, toothaches & teething, immunizations, plus muscle aches & sprains. Sudden back to school headache, anyone?
This Grape flavoured suspension liquid is easy to use, and administer, measured out in the included cup. I like that this product is Paraben-Free, and is gentle on my child’s stomach. I’m not a medical professional, I would recommend Children’s Tylenol Fever & Pain medicine to other parents or guardians for fast and effective fever & pain relief.

I picked the new Chapman's Super Premium Plus Vanilla Trilogy Ice Cream flavour to test and review. Butterly sent me a voucher for a FREE Chapman’s Super Premium Plus Ice Cream in exchange for my honest review. I redeemed the voucher at my local Sobey’s grocery store for a 500ml carton of the Vanilla Trilogy flavour.
We regularly purchase Chapman's products for our son, and vanilla is his favourite ice cream flavour. The Vanilla Trilogy flavour is made with “the world’s finest vanilla beans from three unique regions” (Madagascar, Tahiti, and Papua New Guinea). It tasted like regular vanilla. I was surprised to not see black flecks of vanilla bean in the ice cream. The texture of this ice cream is very smooth and creamy. It’s made with fresh, real cream, all 100% Canadian dairy. It’s Peanut free, nut free, and egg free.
I think the smaller size of the Chapman’s Super Premium Plus Ice Creams is convenient when sampling new flavours. Unfortunately the price is higher than we are used to seeing Chapman’s products. So, not as much bang for your buck, but the quality of this Chapman’s ice cream is superior to their other ice creams. My family and I look forward to trying all the new Chapman’s Super Premium Plus Ice Cream flavours! Chapman's new Super Premium Plus is overall a more grown up tasting ice cream. It should appeal to all ages!

Kids’ skin needs special care. While kids have outgrown most baby skincare products, they are still too young to use many skincare products developed for adults. This Aveeno Kids skincare line is specially designed for kids’ developing and sensitive skin needs.
My son first tested the Aveeno Kids Sensitive Skin Face & Body Wash with Oat Extract in his evening shower. This hypoallergenic, tear-free, face & body wash claims to wash away germs & dirt without drying or stripping the skin’s natural oils. My son said the gentle scent “smelt a bit like baby powder, but felt nice”. It lathered great! Leaving his skin feeling clean and moisturized. The pump bottle is easy for kids to use in the shower or bath.
After his shower, my son tried the Aveeno Kids Sensitive Skin Face & Body Gel Cream with prebiotic oat. This hypoallergenic product claims to provide lightweight 24 hour hydration, for soft smooth skin. He mostly put this gel cream on his legs and arms, targeting his knees and elbows. This gel cream absorbed fast! It wasn’t greasy or too sticky. My son wasn’t a huge fan of the scent, but he agreed it was gentle “like powder”, and it did not irritate his skin. I tried a bit of this product on my arms. I thought the scent lingered for some time, but was gentle.
Aveeno Kids Sensitive Skin Face & Body Gel Cream and Aveeno Kids Sensitive Skin Face & Body Wash contain no phthalates, sulfates, dyes, or phenoxyethanol, and are suitable for all skin types. I would recommend these Aveeno Kids products to other parents looking for pediatrician & dermatologist recommended products for their kids’ sensitive skin.

Thank you, Chick Advisor, Butterly and the Family Rated program for letting me try the new Colgate Total Whole Mouth Health Whitening Gel Toothpaste for free in exchange for my honest review. After using Colgate Total Whitening Toothpaste Gel Repair Reverse Refresh, morning and night, for the past 10 days, my teeth look and feel clean. I think I see some visible, natural looking whitening to my teeth. They look a bit brighter.
I really like that this white paste is swirled with a blue gel. You get the benefits of both paste and gel textures. This toothpaste froths up easily as you brush and provides a “Whole Mouth Health”. Colgate Total is an anticavity fluoride and antigingivitis whitening toothpaste that also promises “12-hour antibacterial protection” by “reducing bacteria on teeth, tongue, cheeks and gums”.
I like the clean minty flavour. It’s a mild, but effective mint. There’s no bad after taste. My breath is left smelling fresh.
This product is made with Fluoride to help prevent tooth decay and cavities. Best when used regularly, Colgate Total works to whiten teeth, repair early enamel damage, reverse early gum damage, protect sensitive teeth, and freshen breath.
My family uses a variety of Colgate products. I would add Colgate Total Whitening Toothpaste Gel Repair Reverse Refresh to our personal-care items. I recommend this product to anyone looking for a trusted toothpaste that offers multiple benefits.

It’s awful when your child is sick or is in pain. As a parent I naturally want to comfort them, but I also try to give them medicine only if needed. My now 10-year-old son often gets that dreaded back-to-school cold. Soon enough he caught it. He also recently needed two of his baby teeth extracted, which caused him discomfort and pain. It was time to test this new Children’s Tylenol Easy Dissolve!
This product claims to provide “Fast Effective Relief of Fever & Pain”. It is so easy to use! The medicine is conveniently measured out for you in ready to go packs. Just open up a pack and pour the powder on to your child’s tongue. No water is needed. The quick dissolving powder just melts on the tongue.
My son did not mind the Natural Wild Berry flavour. He said it tasted a bit like grape & berries. Dye-Free, this product did not stain my son’s tongue. I like that this product is Sucrose-Free and was gentle on my child’s stomach.
I’m not a medical professional, but as a parent I would recommend Children’s Tylenol Easy Dissolve to other parents or guardians for fast and effective relief of fever, and mild to moderate aches & pains.

This unique anti-aging two-phase serum contains 21 different beneficial plant extracts, including turmeric, to help fight skin aging plus other botanicals to help firm, smooth, and boost the radiance of your skin.
I gave this product a try for a week. Not sure if I see a difference in my fine lines yet, but my combination skin does feel smooth and is relatively hydrated. I used it once a day, mostly at night, after cleansing my face. You mix both phases of the serum together, before applying to your face. It felt refreshing on my face, perhaps a bit tingly which worried me. Clarins Double Serum “universal texture” claims to be suitable for “all ages, all ethnicities and all skin types”, including my sensitive skin. I didn’t break out after using this product, but the fragrance, although pleasant smelling, was a bit strong for my skin.
I may purchase this product again if I got it on sale. I would recommend Clarins Double Serum to those looking for a luxe anti-aging serum.

I used this eye makeup remover for nearly two weeks, to take off mostly my mascara and sometimes other eye makeup (shadow, eye liner & brow powder), before completing my review.
Finding an effective, affordable, and gentle eye makeup remover can sometimes be a challenge. I look for all three qualities in my eye makeup remover. Clean & Clean Soothing Eye Makeup Remover checked all the boxes! It got the job done, even taking off waterproof mascara, all while soothing the delicate skin around my eyes.
It left my eye area feeling refreshed and hydrated. I experienced no skin irritation. This product is suitable for sensitive skin.
This product is “Fragrance Free”, but to me is has a mild cucumber scent. It is made with cucumber extracts and conditioners.
Although this makeup remover is “Oil-Free”, it does feel rather oily on the skin. Shake the bottle well before use. The slick formula glides easily over the eyelids and quickly dissolves the makeup. You might want to rinse off the eye area with water after using this product.
I recommend Clean & Clear Soothing Eye Makeup Remover to anyone looking for an effective, affordable and gentle eye makeup remover.

Thank you Chick Advisor and Butterly for sending my husband Todd a full sized 591 ml bottle of new Irish Spring Moisture Blast Moisturizing Face & Body Wash to try for FREE in exchange for our honest review! Todd regularly uses the classic Irish Spring Deodorant Bar Soap in the Original/Original Clean scent as part of his shower routine. He was interested in trying an Irish Spring Body Wash, and in a new scent.
Todd says this product got him clean and it was relatively moisturizing on his skin. This product claims to keep you fresh for 24 hours, and it did deliver by washing away bacteria and deodorizing the body.
Both of us feel that this new Moisture Blast scent is far too strong smelling! The masculine fragrance is heavy and lingers like a cologne. It smells alright in the bottle, but is too strong on the skin. I’m not interested in using this scent on myself at all. I tried a bit on my hands and the fragrance lingered on me, even with repeat rinsing off with water. Todd and I both much prefer Irish Spring in the Original Scent.
I like that this product is paraben free and formulated without phthalates. Irish Spring uses biodegradable cleaning ingredients and is committed to responsible sourcing. You could feel good about using this product daily.
I would recommend Irish Spring Moisture Blast Moisturizing Face & Body Wash to men who gravitate towards strong fragrances and affordable effective body washes.

I used the Ultime8∞ Sublime Beauty Cleansing Oil to cleanse my face and neck, daily for two weeks, before completing my review. This product does an amazing job cleansing and removing all traces of your day’s make up! The clear oil turns slightly milky when you add water. I found this oil to be very gentle and soothing on my sensitive skin. I had zero irritation. My skin didn’t feel tight. This product did not dry out my skin. My face was left feeling nourished and hydrated.
The fragrance is mild. To me this cleansing oil smells a bit like toasted rice. Shu Uemura Ultime8∞ Sublime Beauty Cleansing Oil is made with 8 naturally sourced botanical essentials oils, including treasured Japanese camellia oil, also known as Tsubaki flower. It also contains moisturizing squalane and ginseng.
Since this cleanser is an oil, rather than a soap, it doesn’t lather very well. This smooth oil glides easily over the skin. A little of this product goes a long way! It expertly removed my make up and left my skin feeling clean, soft and supple. It rinses off easily, and leaves behind no residue. I am comfortable using this product daily. It’s the ultimate cleanser, to use to prep your skin before applying your make up, and then again to use to remove your make up.
It’s not the most affordable cleanser, but I recommend Shu Uemura Ultime8∞ Sublime Beauty Cleansing Oil to everyone looking for an exquisite and effective cleansing oil.
