I can't recommend these diapers enough. There are so many options out there; it's hard to pick a cloth diapering system. These ones were so well-priced I was worried I might be losing out on quality, but I was wrong.
These diapers have a cover and an insert. You slip the insert under the little pockets on each end, and you're good to go. This is great because you don't have to touch dirty diaper messes - just turn the diaper out over your diaper pail, and the insert will slip out without you having to touch anything but the cover.
Another great feature? These are adjustable to three different sizes using the snaps on the covers and by folding the inserts. I've used these on babies from a week old, to two years old.
There is also enough room to insert two liners if you want to double up for a long car-ride or for bedtime.
With my first daughter I babied the covers by washing them in a gentle cycle, cold water, and hanging to dry. By the time my second one came along things were hectic and they were destined for the hot water wash with the inserts and many trips through the dryer. They've survived this well.
I purchased 6 covers and 24 liners. They saw my two daughters from a week old or less until they were completely trained. They looked new after my first daughter. They look worn now, but they would probably see one more child through to potty training. Not bad for a less-than $200 investment given the cost of disposables.
Only thing to keep in mind is I've only used these on little girls.

I have mixed feelings about this swing. My first daughter hated it and cried every time we put her in it. My second daughter loved napping in it and happily climbed into it every time.
The swing can go back and forth or side to side, making it soothing for a young baby and fun for a toddler who wants a little ride.
The swing can adjust so the baby can lay down or sit up, and the safety harness and neck padding can also be adjusted as they grow.
The biggest problem I had with this swing was that both of my kids would automatically reach up and grab one of the pieces of the mobile, almost from the very beginning and force it to stop and make a horrible whirring and clicking sound which scared them and made them frightened of the swing. I wish they'd placed the mobile just a few inches higher or perhaps designed the mobile to simply shut off when a baby was tugging at the pieces.

This is a fun toy for the preschool crowd. We purchased this for my first daughter when she was 1, and at age 4 she still plays with it, as does her 2-year-old sister.
It comes with three animals that you can put on a little circle and hear the sound that they make or what animal they are. There are lots of other animals available to buy separately. We used to periodically hide new animals behind the peek-a-boo door to see how long it took for our daughter to find them. There is also a zoo truck and a train that can be purchased separately.
There is a slide to play with, a button that plays short little tunes, and a squeaking nest near the top. There is also a little swing, and you can make the leaves on top of one of the trees spin. Our daughters both knew the names of all these animals at a very young age from playing with this zoo on a daily basis.
With so much to do, there is a reason this toy quickly becomes a favourite.

I find Carters does tend to run a little small, so when buying online, when in doubt, go to the larger size.
I don't know if this is still the case, but the last time I was there they told me that if you keep the tags on and your receipt, you can exchange clothes even if it's a year later. So, if you pick up a cute outfit this summer because you love it and hope your kid will fit into it next summer, and they have an unexpected growth spurt, you can exchange it for something they can actually wear.

Older kids enjoy playing with these too. They're fun to throw and catch, and it's great that kids of different ages can all play together with these toys.
I bought one of these for my second daughter who played with it pretty much from the day she was born.
Since then, I've included one of these with just about every baby gift I've given.

I really wanted to love this toy. We had the old ball Playskool ball popper and it finally gave out. I thought this looked like a lot of fun and would make a good replacement. I bought it for my kids then 3 and 1. Neither of them had a lot of interest in it. You put all of the balls in the center and then it rises up slowly letting the balls spill over the sides.
I think it was just too slow to amuse them for very long.
On the upside, they do play with the balls that came with it a fair bit. The ballcano itself? It's been moved to a corner of the storage room.

You can buy additional horses that each come with their own ramp and trough. You can connect them to make another big ramp.
The only complaint I have on this is that one of the ramps has a plastic piece across it that forces the kids to pick the horse up and carry it over. I don't really know why they didn't just leave it as one big ramp, but the kids are still very happy with it.

My youngest daughter received this for her first birthday. She is over two years old now, and I don't think there is a day that goes by she doesn't play with it. It's definitely one of those toys that will keep their interest long after all the other little electronic toys get thrown to the bottom of the toybox.
The only mistake I made was getting one car when I have two little girls. They fight over it like crazy. It's definitely worth the investment to get one for each of your kids for how much use they'll get out of them.

I love this little dollhouse. More importantly, my daughters love it.
We had the older purple version but my younger daughter wanted one of her own, so I found this pink one. I think she loves this one even more. The only thing I wish they'd change is that this one doesn't come with a table and chair like the older model. There are a lot of new things added though to recommend this model as well.
