I always keep some Polysporin in our "medicine cabinet". It truly helps minor scrapes and cuts heal faster, and disinfects them really well. It also soothes any pain or discomfort from scrapes and bug bites.
One thing about the tubes of Polysporin is that they can get messy and possibly contaminated after it's been used a few times, which defeats the purpose of using a product like that, so it's great to have this little spray bottle! It is so much cleaner and efficient to use - one spray covers a good sized, precise area and it dries quickly on the skin. It does the same job as the Polysporin ointment, but much quicker and with no mess.
I received this from Healthy Essentials (after redeeming my points for a gift bundle), so it was basically free. I would definitely purchase it for myself though.
I'll be bringing this with us camping this summer for sure, but it is a really helpful product to keep on hand all year.

This mask was the first Agave product I've tried, and it was ok. I didn't use it with any other Agave products, and I think that could have made a positive difference, but overall I still liked this mask.
The scent is very nice, and the consistency is kind of like pudding. It doesn't have that slippery silicone feel, and my hair felt soft after using it, but it still had lots of texture.
I love how my hair smelled, and felt to the touch after using this, but I have to admit that it didn't do a whole lot for reducing frizz or "restoring". My hair didn't look as polished as I'd hoped it would, even using this twice a week, and it didn't seem to deeply moisturize like I expected. It makes my hair feel lightweight the first day I've used it, but by the second day my hair feels greasier than normal, so that was a downer.
Overall this felt like an really expensive conditioner, and if it didn't smell so nice I wouldn't have been as impressed as I was. I received this as a gift, and don't think I would buy it again using my own money, even though it isn't a terrible product. I just don't think that on it's own, it's worth the $48 CAD when there are other hair masks out there that I know make more of an impact on my hair. I definitely wouldn't say this is a bad product, but for me there are others out there that I know will make my hair feel smooth, shiny and healthy.

I have been using this for almost two months, and it's something I plan to keep repurchasing as part of my skin routine. My skin needs regular exfoliation, but it has to be gentle and thorough, which is why I like this so much. It is a gel that you use on clean, dry skin. You massage it in, and as you go it "bonds" together in little random balls that help physically exfoliate your skin.
Aside from exfoliating it's supposed to help firm and brighten, and thoroughly remove excess oil and bacteria. My skin isn't perfect, but this makes a noticeable difference in the smoothness and clarity, even immediately after using it. I've been using this every other day, (alternating with another gentle "peel"), and it definitely helps keep everything clear and free of dry patches.
This really helps cleanse and exfoliate my skin, but it never makes my skin feel uncomfortable or too dry. (I still moisturize very well afterwards of course).
The only, very small downside I've found with this product is that is takes a while to rinse off completely. The little "balls" can get stuck in my eyebrows or hairline sometimes, but they come off easily with a dry towel.
It is a bit expensive, but definitely something that works. I love the way it smells - it reminds me of citrus but is very clean and delicate. It's a very natural, uplifting scent that just adds to how good this product really is.

I wanted to try a new mascara, and found this while browsing Shopper's Drug Mart. It was almost sold out, and the brush design looked really decent on the packaging, plus it was only a few bucks.
Overall I'm really impressed with this mascara, it definitely compares to the ones I have that are like 4 times the price! The brush design really works - it's a big, curved applicator with somewhat dense, long fiber bristles. The brush does hold a lot of product on it that needs to be wiped off before using, but other than that it works SO well. It isn't too big and clumsy to get to the roots of my lashes, and as long as there isn't too much mascara on the wand it doesn't make my lashes clumpy at all. It took a few tries to get the right technique for me, but this brush really emphasizes curl, and it still gives covers my lashes to the tips so I have lots of length and thickness as well!
The formula isn't too wet or dry - I really like the consistency. You have time to work with the mascara a bit, but it isn't all over my lids if I blink too soon. It isn't waterproof, but it does need makeup remover or cleanser to fully wash off.
After a few hours this mascara can start to flake a bit, but it's nothing too out of the ordinary.
I would definitely repurchase this mascara, and recommend it to others. It's so inexpensive, and for me it really does do all it claims to!

I received Trojan H20 Water-Based Lubricant in Closer. My partner and I both really enjoyed trying it out and agree with the claims that the product makes.
This lubricant feels amazing and doesn't have any noticeable scent. My partner and I like trying products that have different flavours and scents or effects, but often find that those products feel sticky and are messy to work with. We really appreciate Closer, because it just feels natural and real, and like the bottle claims it is "truly mess-free & non-sticky". Because the texture is almost like water suspended in gel, it really disappears after use which makes cleaning up so much easier.
This product is great for making those times with my partner even more perfect! It feels like a more organic experience than with using other lubricants that have "extras" like scents, or warming/tingling sensations. With Closer we don't have to use as much, and can just enjoy each other.
Overall my partner and I were very impressed with Trojan H20 Closer! The quality is amazing compared to other lubricants we've tried. It's mess-free and feels the most natural out of anything we've tried so far. I would definitely recommend this to others!

The scent for Aveeno's Pure Renewal Dry Shampoo is unique, compared to other dry shampoos I've tried. It's fresh and clean, but also a little bit "beachy", and crisp.
It really refreshes my hair without weighing it down, and there is the perfect amount of powder in the formula. I have light brown-ish hair, and this doesn't show up in my roots or anything, although I make sure to brush it out really well.
For days that my hair needs a little refresher, or when I skip shampooing, this is great. It would be perfect for camping, too! I have only liked a few of the dry shampoos I've used in the past, and this is one of them. I would definitely repurchase this and recommend it to others.

I bought the Green colour corrector to help cancel out the bit of redness I sometimes have in my cheeks, as well as pigmentation from acne. It's a very opaque, minty-green and has a creamy consistency. It's thick, but not hard to blend out, and doesn't look too patchy or make my spots more noticeable by giving them a different texture than the rest of my skin.
It usually works very well for me, but there are a few key things to remember when using this product. I make sure my skin is well moisturized, and start dabbing very light layers of this on. Sometimes I apply it directly to my skin, sometimes I use a concealer brush or my finger. After I apply and let it set for a minute, I sometimes apply a tiny bit of powder over the concealed spots, and then continue applying foundation. Because I stipple my foundation on, it doesn't mess up the areas that I've put the Maybelline concealer on.
As long as I use a little powder over top of this after letting it set a moment, and blend it well, this stays on all day and really does a decent job of cancelling out redness in my complexion.
I bought this because the choices for colour correcting concealers was very slim in the stores I visited, but it works very well and I'd actually buy it again in the future. For about $5 you get a lot of product, and the packaging is convenient to use and travel with.

I was a little skeptical about the Beautyblender before trying it, but I'm glad I decided to buy one. It is way different than other makeup sponges and definitely worth the price!
The Beautyblender feels so soft, and expands to at least double the size when moistened. Once it expands, you can feel how bouncy and cushiony it is - it is perfect for stippling on makeup, and applies the product to your skin softly and efficiently. It doesn't soak up my makeup like I was wondering - in fact I think it's helping me use less foundation. When I dip the BB into my makeup and apply it directly to my face, it gives a more sheer but very even effect (although you can build it up). I love doing this because my makeup looks very natural, and it only takes a minute and then my face is done! If I want more coverage from my foundation, I apply it with a brush or my fingers first, then use this to blend it out a bit and take any cakey spots away. My face makeup ends up looking seamless and more natural than it ever has. I also just love how the sponge feels on my skin - it's kind of cooling and soothing.
The little plastic capsule this comes in can be used to store the BeautyBlender inside, and to set it on top of while it's still moist.
I bought the BB Pro (which is black instead of pink). It still looks brand new after using it and washing it many times over the past two months. I use a regular cleanser to wash it, and it always looks perfect afterwards but I would like to eventually try the Beauty Blender solid cleanser.
I'm not sure how long this will last me, although it seems like it will be a while! Not only is it worth the price because of how awesome it makes my makeup look, but it is super durable and probably one of the best quality makeup tools I have. I will definitely buy this again, and would recommend it to anyone who uses cream or liquid makeup.

I check a lot of beauty blogs and websites, and have been really interested in contouring since it became so popular again. I love looking at the before/after pics of people who do heavily sculpted looks, but I also think that it can be done with a light hand, to make it more natural looking and wearable for everyday.
I bought the NARS Contour Blush because it seemed like it would be a good "beginners" product for trying out contouring. It comes with a highlight shade, and both are matte. I love shimmery stuff, but wanted a matte contour shade, because it works better for the effect that contour is trying to achieve.
I'm still a beginner, but I have had a lot of fun experimenting with this palette. I have tried doing some light shading on certain areas of my face to accentuate certain features, and it's fun to see the slight differences. I'm not trying to change the way my face looks, so this product is perfect because the contour is very pigmented but it blends out really nicely. It's very easy to build up to the intensity that you want, and because it's powder it's easier to work with (and easier to fix mistakes), than with a cream or liquid.
I also use this as a kind of blush and/or bronzer as well, because it's a natural looking colour. The way I try to apply it is subtle, but it still adds a little something extra to my makeup.
I bought this in Olympia, which has ivory and rose. The ivory highlight has a smaller pan than the contour, which is kind of disappointing, but I don't use it as much anyways.
This is my first NARS product, and I am happy with it! The packaging is nice (although I wish it wasn't rubber-y, because it gets smudged fast) and the product is very high quality. It's on the expensive side, but the texture/quality of the powders is beautiful and definitely worth it.

I've been using this argan oil on my face, after cleansing, to help with my sensitive skin. The winter really makes my face feel and look dry, so I switched from my usual moisturizer to this, mainly at night but also a lot in the mornings too.
I have only tried one other "brand" of argan oil, which I received in a beauty subscription box. It is supposed to be pure and organic as well, but there is definitely a difference between it and the Josie Maran stuff! The Josie Maran argan oil feels and smells much nicer, (it doesn't really have a smell to me actually), and I feel confident putting it on my face. It hasn't caused me any breakouts, which is something I feared before I started trying oils like this on my face. In fact, it has really helped my skin clear up again.
I need to budget this into my skincare routine, because the bottle I got is almost gone and this has really saved my skin this winter. As a moisturizer, it isn't heavy on the skin and doesn't make my face feel greasy at all. I actually wear my face makeup right over top of this some days, and it works really well. I'd definitely be more careful using makeup over top of this in humid or hot weather.
This is slightly expensive, (I got the 15 mL bottle for $20 CAD), but I can justify it with how it makes my skin feel and look. It fights dryness better than other moisturizers, because it's so gentle, with pure, good quality ingredients. This argan oil is supposed to come from a Moroccan Women's Co-Op, so it's really nice to feel like this product is ethically produced.
Argan oil can be used all over your body and for your hair as well, but I use this exclusively for my face. It makes such a difference when my skin is dry or stressed, and I'll definitely be purchasing this again soon.
