I am not a huge fan of most generic soap bars, because they tend to leave a residue and really dry my skin out. However, I got a few bars of Olay Ultra Moisture in a value pack of other toiletries and soaps, and have been so impressed! This is the first bar of soap that hasn't dried my skin out - in fact it does the opposite. I find myself using less moisturizer on my body after washing with this soap, even despite the frigid cold weather I've been living in lately!
This soap lathers up nicely, and has a very light scent (it's very different from the liquid body wash version of Olay Ultra Moisture, and I definitely prefer the scent of the bar). It's also long-lasting, as I've been using one bar, daily, for at least a month and it's still not close to being finished.
My skin feels beautifully soft after washing with this soap, and the scent makes me feel clean but doesn't interfere with my perfume or other scented products that I use.
I still love body washes and gels, but this bar of soap has definitely become my new day-to-day product!

I bought this hoping it would help cover up some redness in my cheeks I've been experiencing lately. Unfortunately, it doesn't do anything to reduce redness, at least for me! It looks pretty green in the bottle, but applied onto my skin it sheers out completely and just acts like a basic, clear primer.
This product does smooth out my pores and some other imperfections, but again it doesn't really cover anything or even out skin tone or discolouration.
The first time I wore this primer (under my foundation), I ended up having some pictures taken of me and my makeup did look pretty decent, so the "Photo-Loving" claim does seem to be a little true! But I am just disappointed that this didn't actually help the appearance of the redness on my face.
I don't think this product is for me, just because I prefer to use a primer that has more benefits, like a little hint of colour (or colour-correction!), or a product that is hydrating, or illuminating, or has SPF, or something! This is a very basic primer, so it might work for some but it just isn't what I was looking for what I bought it.

I've started using this lately and love how well it works! I used to just use my regular face powder to set my makeup or help control shine, but it doesn't work as well as this.
This powder can be used alone or over other makeup. I've tried both and it really controls shine and oil without ever looking powdery or cakey, and it helps my face makeup last longer. Whether used on bare skin or on top of other makeup, it makes my skin look even smoother and helps blur imperfections.
It only takes a tiny bit of this powder to cover my whole face, so it's definitely worth paying a little bit more for. The powder is very fine and blends so easily, and although it's kind of subtle, it ends up making a big difference in the way my makeup looks and performs.
I have a deluxe sample of this from Sephora that I've been using for a few months, and have barely made a dent in it. It's definitely a new favourite product of mine though, and I will be repurchasing eventually!

My review is for the shade Parisian Passion (005).
I'll admit I thought the name "Moisture Stain" was a little funny at first, but I'm glad I bought it regardless!
It's basically a stain, but it feels very "cushiony" and almost like a mix between liquid lipstick and a good, non-sticky gloss.
The product almost feels like a gel when you first apply it, especially when applying a good layer of product. Once it's actually distributed over the lip and has a moment to set, it seems to sink in and feels pretty natural. The colour is very saturated and rich, with no streakiness, and it's very easy to apply as little or as much as you want. I apply this with a lip brush sometimes, for a lighter stain, or use the original applicator to get a more full-on colour. Either way the colour always looks even, with a beautiful shine that lasts much longer than I expected. The stain also lasts for a couple of hours I'd say, or less with drinking/eating.
I love the shade I got - it's a gorgeous plum/berry shade that leans more purple. There isn't any shimmer in this one, but there is some in other Moisture Stain shades. Overall, I am very impressed and definitely want to pick up at least one more of the shades in this line!

Spinbrush Truly Radiant Extra White is meant to remove 100% more plaque, and its bristles are supposed to help whiten teeth.
I did feel like the Spinbrush cleaned my teeth more efficiently than my regular manual toothbrush, BUT only in certain spots! The front area of my mouth was very easy to clean, and the whitening cup and bristles did an excellent job in polishing my front teeth. However it was a bit tricky to get the brush head all the way to the back teeth comfortably, or without pressing too hard. Compared to my manual toothbrush, I feel like it can do a little better than the Spinbrush in getting my back teeth, just because it is slightly smaller.
The Spinbrush is a little bit louder than I expected it to be, but the 'dual-action' brush head works pretty well. The toothbrush doesn't seem to use up power or need replacement batteries too quickly, and I love that it's much more affordable than most electric/battery operated toothbrushes. It's comfortable to hold in your hand, and I really like that you can just replace the brush head when needed without having to buy a whole new product. I also feel like it's a bit easier to brush my teeth with this product - the toothbrush does most of the work for me.
I've used this toothbrush for the past week with Arm & Hammer Truly Radiant toothpaste, and I've had mostly great results - my front teeth especially feel very clean. I haven't seen a huge improvement in whitening, but my teeth do feel and look slightly more polished.
I do wish the brush head was a tiny bit smaller, because it's a little awkward getting to my back teeth with it. It would be perfect if it was a little bit quieter as well - I've brushed my teeth late at night a few times and worried that other people in the house could hear the toothbrush buzzing! Apart from that, it's a quality product and I would definitely recommend it to others. Thanks again ChickAdvisor for providing this to me!

This is a fiber mask (or sheet mask) to help with "Anti-Fatigue and Energizing". The pomegranate is supposed to help tone and liven up tired looking skin.
I definitely liked using this mask - as with the last sheet mask I used, I really loved the feel of it on my skin. It feels so soothing and nice on my face, and not having to wash or rinse anything off afterwards is so much more relaxing than a traditional face mask.
The mask was kind of an odd shape, but easy to work with and place on my skin. The pomegranate scent it had wasn't too strong, and not sugary sweet or anything like that.
The mask was loaded with serum, which was great except the serum was a little bit sticky and didn't really absorb well. I had to rinse my hands after putting the mask on, and it took at least half an hour for the serum leftover on my face after to sink in.
Immediately after using the mask, my skin did feel really nice (apart from the residue from the serum). It definitely felt more energized and fresh.
I would definitely buy this face mask again. I did like the pomegranate, but Sephora has a few other ones I'd like to try as well (they have Honey, Ginseng, Pearl, Rose and Green Tea). They might be a little pricy, for just a one use mask, but the ritual of using it was definitely worth it to me!

I received this in "Give Me A Cuddle", a light pink shade. The packaging is similar to Revlon's matte and lacquer balms, but the formula is a bit different.
This has a balm-y texture, with a bit of gloss, and quite a bit of colour. It's easy to wear and doesn't feel drying at all. It doesn't have a minty taste or feel, like many other similar products. There is a bit of a sweet scent, but nothing too strong.
It doesn't seem like it's going to be long-lasting because the texture is very light, and so much like a balm. But honestly, this leaves a really natural but noticeable stain on my lips after the product feels like it's disappeared (which is pretty quickly).
The shade I have isn't really my favourite on me, at least when I first apply and the colour is very noticeable. But I do really like the formula, and there are other shades in this line that look like they'd suit me better!

I've been using this before blow drying and straightening my hair. It smells amazing and the scent lasts for a little while in my hair. It feels like most other hair oils or serums when it's applied to the hair, but it sinks in very well. I use the recommended 3 or 4 drops and concentrate on my ends, and the oil seems to almost disappear. It doesn't leave any heaviness or oily feeling (unless you use too much).
The difference really shows once I dry and style my hair - it feels soft and looks very smooth and shiny, and isn't weighed down.
This product is also pretty versatile - I mostly use it on my hair when it's damp, but have tried it on dry hair with good results, and it can also be used as a mask/treatment before shampooing.
I wouldn't say this is the very best oil/hair product out there, but it's one of my favourites so far from drug store brands, and definitely my favourite from Dove! It smells amazing and overall works pretty well to make my hair look and feel nice.

This set has helped me complete my makeup brush collection (for now, at least)! It includes four face brushes; a detailer/concealer, a buffer, a foundation and a contouring brush. They are all great quality - very soft on the skin but not too flimsy. The bristles are strong and dense, hold their shape well even after washing several times and haven't shed at all so far.
I've used the buffing brush with my sample of BareMinerals, and it works perfectly. The foundation brush has made a huge difference in my makeup application - it gives a lot more coverage and still looks natural. I've used the contouring one mainly for blush so far but it's awesome, and the detailer can be used for lots of things, like concealer or lip products.
The set comes with a travel case that fits all the brushes with room for more. It's sturdy and compact, and I use it to dry my brushes in upside down which is so much more convenient!
I read a ton of positive reviews about Real Techniques before buying these, and now I can see why so many people love them.

I've been wanting to try the Jack Black lip balms for a while, and finally got the Black Tea & Blackberry one recently. The scent is great, and is way more blackberry than black tea. It's a really nice change from my usual mint lip balms. (Now that I've tried this one, the Grapefruit & Ginger one looks pretty good too!) It's also nice that it smells pretty and everything, but doesn't have much of a flavour if I end up tasting a bit.
This feels very moisturizing and protective, and the formula is perfect. It leaves a tiny bit of a sheen on my lips, and lasts a good while before needing to be reapplied.
Glad I tried this lip balm, and will definitely repurchase!
