I received the GOSH Prime 'n Set Powder as part of the Chick Advisor product review club. It is one of the products that I continue to use on a daily basis. I have combination skin, with a t-zone that gets oily/shiny by midday. I work in a daycare, and am on my feet from 7:30-4:30 each day.
I pop into the washroom to use oil blotting sheets at lunch each day, but do still find myself shiny by the end of my shift. The Prime 'n Set powder has a convenient swivel cap inside the lid that prevents the loose powder from coming out of the base during travel. I'm able to grab the powder out of my bag, tap a bit into the lid, and apply it to my t-zone with a brush quite quickly. Only a little powder is needed to obtain matte effect - too much and you will get a bit of a cast.
With a little powder in the morning, and a touch up at lunch, I find myself matte all day. I'll be finishing up this product, and definitely checking out GOSH's other offerings at Shopper's Drug Mart.

I received the GOSH Crazy Volume Mascara as part of the Chick Advisor Product Review Club. Among the products I received, the CRzy Volume Mascara is one I would not repurchase.
The wand is more of a traditional style (not the silicone wands that many mascara's have now). The formula went on nicely with the first coat, lengthening and thickening my lashes. However, once I added a second coat, I noticed less lash separation. I definitely got long, thick lashes from this mascara, but at the cost of a more natural lash look that I usually enjoy.
By the end of he day, I had no smudging or flaking, but my eyelashes had lost a lot of their curl. I usually use L'Oreal Voluminous for a feathery, long but full lash look, and will be sticking with my usual brand.
If you like more of bold look, this may be for you. Thank you to Chick Advisor and GOSH for the opportunity to be a tester.

I received a bottle of GOSH Lip Lacquer in the colour Funky Lips courtesy of the Chick Advisor product review club.
The product comes in a small bottle, similar to a nail polish bottle. Twisting off the cap reveals a doe foot applicator that is used to apply this hybrid between a lipstick and a gloss. The colour is highly pigmented, and a little goes a long way. I found the formula to stay quite well for a short period of time, but the gloss and some colour did fade as I drank some tea. I applied more gloss as needed, but did have some colour fade toward the center of the lip. The remainder of the lip remained quite stained.
I also tried dabbing the Lip Lacquer onto the lip, and using a gloss on top to get a sheer effect. This created a subtle stain, which was much more wearable, and the fade wasn't noticeable.

I received this product courtesy of the Chick Advisor product review club. Of the four products I received, the GOSH Defining Brow Gel was one of my favourites. The product is a little warm toned for my brow colour, which is an easy fix with a different colour (4 colours are available).
I have pretty thick brows, and only need to fill in the tops of the arches a bit where they are uneven. The rest are pretty dark, but they get unruly during the day and need a brow gel to hold them in place. Some brow gels get crunchy or flaky during the day, or leave a gloss or white cast on your brows that looks unnatural.
I found the GOSH Brow Gel held my brows in place all day. There was no flakiness, no white cast, no crunch and no gloss. The tint gives a bit of a boost to the natural colour as well. Overall, I'm glad I tried it out, and I would repurchase in the future.

I've tried several of the Glam Glow masks, and have to say that I would pass on all of them. They are effective, but not so much so that I would pay $70 for one for the amount offered. I currently use Borghese Fango as my go-to weekly mask for toning, tightening, brightening, and removing excess oil from my pores. A 17 oz jar costs the same as 1.7 oz from Glam Glow.
If you like the results of Glam Glow, give Fango a try. You can spend the same amount of money, but the product will last you a lot longer while being just as effective.

I received a tube of Arm and Hammer Truly Radiant Toothpaste courtesy of the Chick Advisor Product Review Club. I have been using the this toothpaste twice daily for the paste two weeks.
This toothpaste uses baking soda in order to clean and whiten teeth. From time to time I will dip a wet toothbrush in baking soda in order to clean my teeth a little more thoroughly. I find this toothpaste acts much in the same way, using the baking soda to remove any surface stains or deposits from the day.
The toothpaste does not taste overly minty, and you can definitely taste the baking soda. I don't mind, but you may if you usually use a toothpaste that is more flavoured.
Arm & Hammer Truly Radiant Toothpaste was very effective at removing any plaque from my teeth, leaving them clean, shiny, and appearing brighter. I don't think it whitened my teeth beyond what they already were, but it is great for maintaining the current colour of teeth and preventing future staining.

I've used Parissa wax kits for years, and never felt a need to switch it up. After using the Nair Candy Apple Sugar Wax, I've changed my mind. It smells great, works well (once you adjust application to the thinner consistency), and cleanup is a breeze.
The packaging for the Nair Candy Apple Wax is pretty standard, a clear round tub with a screw on lid. The wax is a translucent bright red, much like a candy apple coating, and definitely smells like fresh apples.
Before heating the wax, I noticed that it was a thinner consistency than I am used to, so be careful with handling the tub to ensure the wax is completely settled on the bottom. Open it up with wax near the top and you will have a sticky mess when you try to open and close the tub!
After 30 seconds of heating, the wax was even thinner. It took a bit of getting used to, but I found the wax to be very effective at removing even shorter hairs on my legs, especially as it cooled down a bit. I wasn't brave enough to try my underarms (I've never had luck with this!), but will definitely be using the Nair Candy Apple Wax again.
The best part was definitely the easy cleanup - the wax washed right off the spatula with some warm water, and after a quick shower my legs were smooth and wax free. If you have ever used a traditional wax, you know how much of a pain it is to remove the leftover wax from your skin, spatula, and everywhere else it ends up with Azulene oil!
A couple pointers to help with a smooth (hehe) experience: Wrap a thick rubber band around the tub once you have heated the wax (so it stretched across the opening), and use this to scrape the excess wax off the spatula before applying to your legs. This helps you to control the amount of wax on the spatula, and to prevent wax from getting on the rim of the tub.
I also recommend you purchase another spatula. I have a wood and metal one I purchased from well.ca that works well, and is easily to clean afterward. You can also purchase extra wax strips from any beauty supply store, as this kit doesn't come with a lot!
I received this product courtesy of Chick Advisor for testing purposes. All opinions are my own.

Definitely a very innovative concept, but the execution could use some improvement. It's difficult to get the mascara down to the lashline, and to the inner and outer corners. The formula is nice, but not a deep black. The applicator makes a mess of the "tube" when you re-insert it. I get that Avon was trying something new, but this formula would be better off in a traditional tube. -

While Covergirl Lash Blast isn't my favourite mascara, it's a reliable, no fuss option for days I want a natural looking lash. I do have a bit of wear by the end of the day, and don't find that this mascara offers a lot of curl or a deep black like I prefer.
I'm not a fan of Covergirl's bulky mascara packaging, I prefer something a little sleeker. That being said, the tip of the mascara tube works very well as a false lash applicator. Not sure if that is what it's meant for, but the next time you need to press your falsies into place, try it!

Very pricey - be sure to purchase this as part of one of the Benefit gift sets at Christmas. BADgal gives you a deep black lash, lots of length and a fair bit of volume. The brush is HUGE, made of dense bristles that separate and coat every lash. I'm really not sure if I prefer BADgal or They're Real more, they each give a different effect. -
