It is much better than the door frame because it can move anywhere. It's height adjustable is the best as it adjusts for height and weight and allows baby to grow with it. -

Bumbo Floor Seat
My son lived in his when he was younger. Ate his meals in it, played... It was amazing. Even before the mandatory "seat belt".... No danger whatsoever as long as you watch your kids... Very easy to keep clean, very lightweight...
