Mother of five. The last had just left the best. I am a full-time care-giver for my husband who had a terrible accident on Jan 15, 2010. This accident left him paralyzed from the waist down. Life has changed astronomically as a result. I am also the only driver in family so must be there to transport my older brother, sister and Mom to any and all appointments. I used to be singing and was gaining momentum until my husband's accident. Then two years after his accident while I was trying to finish drywalling renovations done in house to make an accessible bathroom for him as ladder went out from under me and I broke my neck and shattered my left elbow. I was supposed to be either dead or paralyzed as I broke my C1 but God is good and I'm here still managing to keep our home. We didn't have any insurance on him or myself to help with either accident but we don't give up that easily. We are both grateful to be alive and keep pushing on each day. Every day is a gift.
