I recently had the opportunity to try Canada Dry Premium* Craft Sodas via the Chick Advisor Product Review Club. I am a fan of Ginger Beer, not so much Ginger Ale; so I wasn't sure exactly what to expect from a Ginger Beer made my Canada Dry, famous for their Ginger Ale. I was pleasantly surprised! This is a Ginger Beer that has a premium taste; the flavor is just the right combination of ginger and spice and is nicely palatable. I would not hesitate to purchase this or recommend it. -

I received a full size Arm & Hammer Essentials Whiten + Activated Charcoal Fluoride-Free Toothpaste for trial from a product review club. I will start by saying charcoal toothpastes have always been my least favorite of whitening toothpastes due to the messy/staining nature of them. They would leave my sink black and grimy. I was very impressed that this toothpaste was grey in color and left absolutely no stain/residue in my sink. I really loved the foaming action of this charcoal toothpaste as well, also a feature lacking in every other charcoal toothpaste I have used in the past. I noticed an immediate shade brighter and whiter within a few days of usage. Very clean, mild mint flavor that was not overpowering.
I would absolutely recommend this toothpaste and I would absolutely purchase it again. Five stars.

I received a full-size ARM & HAMMER™ Essentials Whiten & Strengthen Fluoride Toothpaste free in a product review club by Chick Advisor. I had already been using an Arm & Hammer whitening toothpaste but this is a new kind. I have to say, I loved it so much that I threw out my existing toothpaste tube to replace it with this one. Love the flavor, the foaming action and how it leaves my teeth brighter and whiter, without the gritty feeling of their previous whitening toothpaste. As someone with sensitive teeth, this did not bother my sensitivity at all and I was able to use it twice daily without any issses at all. I will absolutely purchase this again and recommend it with 5 stars. -

I received Schmidt's Charcoal + Magnesium Natural Deodorant for free in a product review club I am a member of. I received a full size to try and to review. This deodorant is all natural which is the only type I use. It claims to "help neutralize odour and keep you fresh, enriched with magnesium and activated charcoal. Never formulated with aluminum, propylene glycol, parabens, phthalates, or artificial fragrance."
The packaging is very fresh but upon reading the label I was instantly drawn to the fact it is made by Unilever, which is NOT a natural company at all. This was quite disappointing as I do strive not to use products from the big brands.
I have been using natural deodorants for on and off for over ten years now, so I am familiar with them. It's taken me 10+ years to find a natural deodorant that works and I finally found that brand last year. Unfortunately, Schmidt's is not it.
What I liked about it - the packaging and the scent.
What I didn't like about it - the deodorant is very soft and grainy, it does not apply smooth. It applies very thick and leaves residue under the armpits. It was very 'waxy' feeling and did not wash off easily in the shower; it required several good scrubs to remove the waxy residue from my armpits. I did not appreciate the streaks the deodorant left me with, on my clothes and later in the gym, pouring down the back of my arms. I could not get through an 8-hour work day (administrative work, not active at all!) without needing to reapply it because I noticed I was starting to smell bad. At the gym, the deodorant would drip and leave huge streaks down my leggings and all over the gym floor. It was quite embarrassing actually. Not easy to wash out of clothing either.

I received Schmidt's Rose + Black Pepper Natural Deodorant for free in a product review club I am a member of. I received a full size to try and to review. This deodorant is all natural which is the only type I use. It claims to "help neutralize odor and keep you fresh, enriched with hemp seed oil. Free of aluminum salts, propylene glycol, parabens, and phthalates, and artificial fragrance. Luxurious, long-lasting scent made with natural fragrance—an elegant scent made with sharp and sheer notes of vetiver grass, paired with delicate tea and spicy fruit."

The scent is fresh and unique, very floral, almost too much. It reminded me very much of an older lady scent and reminded me of my grandmother; not a bad thing, but not a scent I want to wear, as a much younger woman.

When a friend began selling LimeLife by Alcone, I wanted to try it because the price point is really good and I like that they are a "Leaping Bunny Certified" company. Upon looking at the tiny tube, I have to admit, my hopes for it were not very high. But don't judge a liner by it's tube! This basic liquid liner is anything but. It delivers even color distribution at the tip of a very fine point, making it easy to drawn along the lash line and create shape at the outer corners. This liner lasted through a sweaty workout and slept in it overnight (I know, I know!). I have oil eye lids so it was nice that this liner did not bleed up onto my eye lids. It stayed put. By the next morning, some of the color had faded, but there were no flakes. Easy to remove in the shower with just water. -

A friend began selling LimeLife by Alcone and I was intrigued to try it because of their price point and "Leaping Bunny Certification" (I prefer natural cosmetics). The Perfect Mascara is an absolute waste of money. You can find drugstore beauty brands that perform better than this one, for a fraction of the price! Let's start with the mascara wand itself; it's very old-school with it's honeycomb type brush. I'm not a fan of this style;e ever since most brands upgraded and went with a rubberized nib type wand. The formula is flimsy, even after five applications, it left me with a very natural look - not at all what I am looking for in a mascara. I prefer mascara which alludes to lash extensions, this was far from that. Formula did not flake which was nice and did not creep up to my upper eyelids as some tend to do (I have oily eye lids). It removed easily in the shower with just water. The tube is professional and shiny looking...and that's about all I have to say that's good about this product! -

When a friend began selling LimeLife by Alcone, I was intrigued by the price point and that they boast "Leaping Bunny Certified" cosmetics (I prefer natural cosmetics). This eye liner lives up to it's claims, it is enduring!! I purchased this in Black and swiped it along my waterline in the morning before work. Normally by noon, my upper eyelids are wearing whatever I've lined my eyes with like shadow, so I was expecting the same of this eye liner. Imagine my surprise when 5PM came and it was time to go to the gym...very happy to say, the Enduring Eye Liner lasted in place all day, all night, through a very sweaty workout session and through a shower. In fact, this liner is so enduring, I still had it on the next morning. Definitely worth the price, especially for those after an eye liner that lasts! It has a creamy formula that applies nicely and does not drag on the delicate eye area skin. The only complaint I have about this eye liner pencil is that it does not sharpen very well. I've used several different sharpeners and always end up with a blunt, uneven point. Not a fan of that at all. -

I have a friend who began selling LimeLife by Alcone and I was intruiged by the price point and that their products are 'Leaping Bunny Certified" (I prefer natural cosmetics). The Enduring Lip Color was the first product I purchased to trial. I ordered the Cherry Pie color and the Creme Brulee. What I will say about these colors is, they are absolutley beautiful, bright and color-saturated. They glide on like satin and the formula has a pleasant, subtle vanilla fragrance. Love the colors!! What I don't love? After 5 minutes of wearing the Enduring Lip Colors, it leaves your lips looking THIRSTY. Dry and shows every single lip line. It is by far, the least enduring lip color I have ever worn. Too bad, because the price point is great as are the colors to choose from however, you will hate how this looks on your lips after 5 minutes let alone a day. The first time i wore it, I went to meet a friend for lunch and upon seeing me, she actually asked me if I needed and offered me her lip balm! THAT BAD!! I had high hopes for LimeLife by Alcone Enduring Lip Color but unfortunately, they both ended up in my trash bin. Ain't no woman have time for a lip color that dries out her lips like the Sahara desert...next! -

Of all black teas, Earl Grey is one of my favorites and go-to's. From London fog lattes to a regular cuppa tea, the Tazo Earl Grey is a staple in my tea diet. The Tazo Earl Grey Tea is bold, full-bodied and flavorful. It is delicate, yet strong and perfectly aromatic. Many Earl Grey teas fail at this and are too much on the 'perfume-y' side. Tazo blends it perfectly. I prefer my tea strong and when over-steeped, this one does not become bitter tasting. It's great either served clear or with cream and sugar, which is my preference but, most earl grey teas taste stale and blah without the addition of cream and sugar. So it's nice to have the option, without sacrificing the flavor of the tea itself. Tazo teas are on the pricier side of teas but they are well worth it if you are a tea aficionado. -
