I've always loved St. Ives body lotions for being easily accessible from most drugstores and shopping centres. The price point is very low compared to other body lotions and effectiveness is high on the scale. This particular scent combination left ,y skin with a very light, fresh floral scent. I don't really enjoy floral scents but this one I really liked. It wasn't an overly sweet scent.
The lotion was easy to apply and absorbed instantly, left no greasy feel or residue. As with all St. Ives body lotions, it left my skin feeling very soft and hydrated.
It felt a little more on the luxurious side of body lotions, maybe because of the attractive packaging and scent. Definitely will be buying again.

Great innovative product that looks as good as it smells! The scent is fresh and lasts and lasts and lasts. No more ugly little paper trees by the hundreds around the rearview mirror! This little scent pack is small but powerful. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a fresh new alternative to car scents, including the little cans. The Febreze car clip is awesome!!

...AAAND the quest for the perfect mascara continues!!!
I really don't know why I keep disappointing myself with these super expensive, high-end mascaras; all I ever get is major disappointment! Sorry to say girls, this is another.
M.A.C. False Lashes Mascara promises:
"Intensely inky, this lightweight, innovative mousse-like formula creates the illusion of lash extensions. Saturates lashes in the deepest, darkest, richest black imaginable with each stroke of the unique double-lush brush."
I'm going to give you the DL. First, the bottle is appealing, sort of genie-bottle like and sleek. The brush leaves something to be desired. Nothing fancy here. Remember those old-school brushed before the new breed of flexible plastic bristled brushes? This is one of those retro designs, not too fat, not too thin...and it tapers to a nice cone shape which is great for getting the tiny lashes on the inside corners of the eyes. The formula does seem to dry quickly, so get those coats on quick; despite many people being able to layer and layer and layer throughout the day without that dreaded spider leg effect, how'd ya'll do it?! Cuz every time I tried to reapply this mascara after the original coat(s) have dried, it is INSTANT clumpy and spidery.
The formula does seem lighter than most, so its not terribly heavy. It doesn't seem to flake, which is nice because I am plagued by flaky mascaras and I despise that! Ok now for the effect: this mascara did nothing to increase volume but it did give a tiny bit of length. Lashes are separated a little too much for my liking, and the formula didn't hold my eyelash curl for as long as I would have liked it to, only a few hours. This formula is NOT waterproof and you do NOT want to get caught tearing up in it or in a rainstorm because it will be running down your face in seconds. It is VERY black! It removes easily (perhaps a little too easily) with just water.
In my opinion, this mascara was NOT worth it, even if it were half the price. I am tempted perhaps to try the others in the M.A.C. lineup, but not until the bitterness of being disappointed with yet ANOTHER expensive mascara wears off some!

I have several friends who are addicted to M.A.C. and swear by this liquid eyeliner. I recently just started using liquid eyeliner and have tried several drugstore brands (L'Oreal Carbon Black, Maybelline Stiletto and Covergirl Line Exact) and was increasingly becoming annoyed that each of these liners would flake in giant pieces throughout the day, leaving gaps in my lines!
I decided to try M.A.C. after a co-worker showed up one day raving about it. I paid the $21.00 CAD and thought to myself, this better be worth every penny for the price! Well, the formula is amazing. The salesgirl was right when she told me this stuff is waterproof. It even lasted through a crying spell while cutting onions!!! Not a single flake or smear or smudge. Removal was easy, a qtip dipped in warm water and pressed against my eyelid and this stuff peeled right off in almost one piece!
I'm not giving this product a full five stars because I hate the design. I prefer my liquid liners in a brush form, not a pen. However, this liner does fall on the fence between being a brush liner and a pen/pot liner and is kind of somewhere right in between. I suppose more practice will make the application easier, however it's not for someone like me who just started on liquid liner OR for someone who wants an easy, fuss-free liner in one swipe.

It's tricky to find a great serum that doesn't leave hair oily - Redken Smooth Down Heat Glide is NOT one of these serums!!! A friend gave me the last few drops in a bottle and it lasted me a good 10 applications. A drop does damage good, hair is instantly smoothed and ends are sealed. Frizzies disappear like some magic act. It works, it's a decent price and it will last a ridiculously long time. No fragrance so that's a bonus. -

A rejuvenating lip treatment duo comprising: Lip Smoothing Cream with Collagen Biospheres: Helps smooth wrinkles & re-define lips Contains Collagen Biospheres to penetrate into skin around lips Boosts volume up to nine times Volumizing Lip Hyaluronic Acid Cream: Helps capture moisture on lips to nourish tissue & add volume Smoothes wrinkles around lips & refines contours
To use: Apply Smoothing Cream on lip contours. Follow with Volumizing Cream (So it's a bit of a Step 1, Step 2 process to apply)
The Verdict!
This product moisturized my lips very well with continued and regular use; I followed the directions on this perfectly. At best, it appeared my lips were plumped due to them being so well moisturized. It definitely did not act like other lip plumpers ( such as Lip Fusion, DuWop Lip Venom, Tarte, etc.).
There is no scent, no taste and no unpleasant texture to this lip treatment. It is an excellent night moisturizer however I prefer something a little more luxe for a lip treatment.
If you have thin lips or are just looking for a very good nighttime lip treatment then this will work for you. If you're like me, and have already somewhat plump, moisturized lips, then this product won't wow you.

The brush design is genius. It's scooped design allows for every lash to be lifted and separated and fully coated. That's the only positive thing I can say about this product. The formula is smudgy, flaky and extremely clumpy; despite claims of not being any of these three. It did not hold my lash curl for more than about five minutes and fell flat immediately after.
I would not recommend this mascara to anyone, even if it was on wicked sale!

I recently have gone blonde from black, as a natural brunette with reddish undertones. Because of the black hair dye pigments and the natural reddish undertones, my blonde pulls some really warm tones...which I hate!
My hairdresser recommended I try AG Sterling Silver line after weak results from several other Violet shampoos/conditioners intended for keeping the brassiness out of blonde hair.
It is scented like coconut cream, so it's a delight to use! At first, you will be shocked by the color...it looks as though a squid had been murdered in the shower; dark indigo purple and I'm not even kidding! It does NOT stain the shower though, it won't stain your nails (natural) but it WILL 'gray' fake nails and it WILL stain your hair IF you keep it on too long or forget about it as you go about your shower!
It is very moisturizing and leaves hair feeling clean, soft and manageable and most of all, bright blonde again! No more warm tones!
I use both the shampoo and conditioner together twice or three times a week. It is recommended to use it weekly, but I find I need it a little more than once per week. Don't use it more than three times a week though or you will end up with a slightly violet/grayish hue to your hair!

I was very surprised by this mascara, the brush is not spectacular and the formula comes out gloopy on the brush. However, this is THE mascara for layering and layering and...layering! It builds amazing volume; don't know if it does much for length as I have long lashes naturally; but amazing volume!
It does not flake, it does not clump it does not disappoint! And for $3...I couldn't go wrong! Even if this wasn't on sale, it would be a good deal. This product lives up to it's promises!

I've never tried anything from the NARS line but when a friend showed up with THE prettiest little lip gloss on her lips one day I just HAD to try it for myself! It's a thick, sticky lip lacquer that holds very well; the color and shine lasts hours (providing no food and/or drink) and doesn't leave lips feeling robbed of moisture afterwards. The color is very concentrated so it would seem to be opaque but there is a hint of sheerness to it.
It is a little pricey, albeit worthwhile. I cannot wait to try every color they have!
