I've had the Ritual Manicure and the Ritual Pedicure which are your standard mani and pedi's with soak and scrub and massage as well as cuticle and polish. The do a great job, really neat and precise. They don't rush and I've always found that my mani and pedi dry and don't smudge after. It's more than you'll pay at one of those mani/pedi salons but it's cheaper than most spas. Really clean environment, nice and friendly staff. It can be pretty busy so you can't drop in, but you'll enjoy the experience so booking an appointment feels appropriate.
Their polish selection could be better, but they usually have the newer shades and collections, just not a lot of brands.

I haven't dyed my hair at home for a while, but when I did I used this. It wasn't too harsh and was really easy to use. My colour (blonde) always came out similar to what the box said it would. My hair gets brassy really easy, so while this product didn't prevent that, I didn't expect it to as even salon colour tends to go yellow on me after a bit. Easy to use, nice colour, not too damaging, that's what make a great at home colour kit in my opinion. -

Yes this cafe has wonderful pastries, well done coffees and the like, but what I really need to tell you about is their meatloaf. I love meatloaf. I have had a lot of meatloaf from many places and cooked by wonderful chefs including my mother. The meatloaf at Le Gourmand is THE BEST I have ever had. It's super moist, perfectly cooked and has the most amazing sweet, ketchupy sauce. They serve it on their special board everyday with mashed potatoes and a lovely wild greens salad for around $10. So worth it, you'll be stuffed! -

I love this neighbourhood place on Ossington just north of West Queen West, and apparently lots of other people do too as there is always a line up! I've been here for lunch and dinner and both are amazing. Fast service if you're there for lunch, with some great value specials on offer. For dinner it's a fast paced fun atmosphere, knowing there's a line up you don't sit there forever, and the service is efficient so you can get on with your night. As far as the breadth of the menu, it's mostly pizza with a few salads and other items. They're pretty great about doing substitutions for you vegetarians and I know people with allergies and they've always been great! -

Usually buying fragrance is pretty personal, but I've bought this for friends and they've all enjoyed. It's more of a floral with a bit of sweet fruity notes. I can smell freesia the most, but it's not cloying. The sandalwood and amber settle down the flowery notes but it's not musky. I love wearing it in the summer as it makes me feel fresh and the notes are perky so wake you up. I've had lots of compliments when I wear it. -

This is a pretty light moisturizer, which I like for day. It's non greasy, which is essential in the summer and doesn't clog. It does have that sunscreen smell which I am not a huge fan of but all moisturizers with sunscreen seem to have it, so what to do? I really like the way it feels on my skin and for me that's the biggest deal breaker, I feel sweaty enough in the summer, I don't need my moisturizer to make me feel even more slippery. -

If you're prone to ingrown hair, are horrible at keeping regular appointments, and hate shaving, the investment in laser hair removal will be well worth it. Honestly, it is painful, but take some pain killers and you'll get through it and be grateful you did. Bellair know their stuff and they're all really nice. You won't feel uncomfortable about whimpering through the treatment and they are fast and well skilled. Everyone responds differently so you may need more treatments later on, but really you won't have to deal with razor burn and waxing (which is just as painful as laser) and can live your life free of annoying appointments! -

I usually go to Brassaii for brunch on their patio in the summer because I am an old lady who doesn't go out that much. I have been there at night for a birthday party or two out on the patio and they always turn into a terrific mini-dance party. I went back last night after work for the media preview of their newly renovated patio. Where the bar used to be there is a fire place surrounded by cushy couches. The same stools and high tables sit in that area which is undercover. On the other side of the courtyard are tables and chairs (where I usually sit for brunch). The staff here are all great, I've always had attentive service and have always liked the menu. The brunch has unexpected items like a lobster club but also the standards like eggs benny.
If you go for a cocktail this summer I recommend their mojito. Super refreshing!

I've gone here for manicures and pedicures and both are amazing. Leanne and her team are sweet, funny, engaging and really cool. They're up on the latest nail trends and they often have hard to find nail lacquers from Chanel, Deborah Lippmann, China Glaze, OPI and more. They also have Axxium and Shellac. They've really become known for the amazing nail art they've been doing, and owner Leanne Colley's work has been seen in The Globe & Mail, Flare, Fashion and other Canadian publications. They're a fave of beauty editors. I had a half moon manicure and got so many compliments, and I love all the manicures I have seen on other girls, it's always something creative and pretty.
