I have been a huge reader since I was about 7 or 8. I read anything and everything. I also read a lot of young adult fiction. I get a lot of flack for it, but honestly, I feel like YA is where all the innovative and creative stories are coming from nowadays. I also love an entertaining, easy read sometimes. I devoured the Hunger Games series so quickly. I didn't put down any of the trilogy until they were finished. I also got my boyfriend to read them. And he A) isn't a huge reader, although he does read here and there and B) hates anything with a romantic storyline and YA. He ACTUALLY enjoyed them. Although he hated Peeta, haha. They were the original dystopian YA in my mind, and then EVERY YA author jumped on the bandwagon, which is annoying. I loved the novels, they were passionate, fun, tense reads, with well written characters and excellent world building. I wish the movies weren't absolutely horrible. I feel like the movies have turned the series into Twilight for people who haven't read the novels. -

Honestly, Batiste Dry Shampoo is the most effective one I've tried. I have tried so many too! I have incredibly long hair that is prone to being greasy even on the day after I wash it. I use dry shampoo to try and extend the days between washes so my hair is healthier. I have had dry shampoos leave my hair looking dried out, GREASIER, fade the colour, leave white powder I can't brush or towel out, or just leave my hair looking gross. I've also had them be completely ineffective or completely the wrong shade. In my mind, Batiste is the original dry shampoo, and the best. -

While I am still waiting for a product that will actually treat my acne to the point where I notice a MAJOR difference, this is one of those products that did something for me, at least. I like that the pads do actually leave my face feeling soft and clean. I notice a bit less oil the day after I have used the pads at night after I wash my face. I also feel like it keeps my new breakouts to a more "mild" state. It doesn't get rid of existing acne or completely stop breakouts for me, but then again I haven't found anything yet that does. I found I had to use these every second night so as not to over dry my skin or cause redness. I will buy again for sure. -
Defffinnnittellly not my thing. Clumpy, leaves white product in your lashes you have to chase to cover up. The wand is so big and bulky... I just really did not like this mascara at all.

I LOVE Lululemon yoga pants. For years I honestly thought it was just hype, and that it was just another trend where girls were jumping onto a brand and I refused to buy yoga pants that were anywhere from $60-$100. But then my boyfriend bought me a pair for Christmas one year and ohhhh man... They just fit so perfectly! And they were so very comfortable. I loved the waistband on the pair I had. You could pull it right up to cover your tummy (awesome on bloat days) or fold it right down. It also had a media pocket which I used for keys at work. I had them for a year before I finally caved and used them at work (I worked housekeeping at a student residence at the time) when my work yoga pants (part of the uniform) kept crapping out on me and I was finally left with only my lulu's! They lasted the remaining six months of my housekeeping position before I was promoted and they are still in great shape! They are really worth the investment, even if the price is cringe worthy. But I probably won't be buying multiples... Just one pair at a time. I'm poor, ya know? -

This is hilarious that the PETERBOROUGH Dollarama is on here! Pdot represent! Honestly though, I love the dollar store. We use it a lot for work as well! We hold a lot of student events at my work, and when we do crafts or we need balloons or paper products or paints or markers -- what have you, the Dollarama is a great way for us to buy a ton of items so everyone can participate, and not break the bank. I also find the silliest, most fun things there as well. -

I gave up coffee a long time ago. It was giving me the shakes and I just wanted to cut caffeine out of my system. However, being a Canadian, everyone goes to Tim's. Every time I'm with friends we inevitably make it to the Tim's drive thru. I tried having coffee again, but blech. I lost the taste for it. Eventually I settled on French Vanilla's. And now that I work 9 hour days with no breaks (desk job) and I open the office-- I find I need SOME caffeine. So I have my delicious, foamy french vanilla in the morning, and tea later on in the day to keep myself from being over caffeinated. Trust me, I could drink 5 of these a day, but I would be bouncing off the walls. So tasty! I wish they weren't quite so pricey though! -

Like the last reviewer, I bought the DivaCup because I loved the idea of it. I loved the cost savings overall (I shudder to think how much I spend on panty liners, tampons and pads in a year), the environmentally friendly aspect of it, and just an alternative to pads and tampons. I just could not get the hang of it for the life of me. I had read a whole lot from other Diva users prior to purchase, so I thought I could do it, but I just kept getting leakage. I adjusted it and tried doing it differently, and leaked everytime. Perhaps it was because I have endometriosis and before my IUD and surgery, I had an incredibly heavy menstrual cycle. Maybe I was too much for the cup. Or maybe the Cup is not made for every shape? Or it could have just been me, but it seems it is not that user friendly if I am not the only one who struggled? -

I went into Bath & Body Works not too long ago and discovered all their new fall and winter scents had come out. There were so many new candles that I was in love with that I was in there for half an hour just smelling everything. I finally had to buy a bunch of the small candles to sample a bunch at home, because there was no way I was making up my mind without burning them. I got Marshmallow Fireside, Flannel, Caramel Popcorn, and a bunch more. Marshmallow Fireside was instantly my favourite. It has a warm, cozy smell with just a hint of decadence. It smells like a hint of warm vanilla marshmallow, with a slight smoky, almost bourbon smell. It's really lovely and it doesn't wear out its welcome. I have gotten a lot of compliments on it. Even my father, who hates "that smelly stuff" enjoys this one! I am definitely going back to buy the 3 wick ASAP! -

Aveeno is the product I get when I want results and I want them fast. It is pricier than I usually tend to spend, but it really is worth the extra few bucks. Especially if you have sensitive or extra dry skin. I bought the Aveeno Active Naturals Daily Moisturizing Lotion after a recommendation from a girlfriend who has similar skin issues to mine and I instantly decided it was one of my favourite moisturizers. It really works into your skin fast, and leaves your skin feeling softer, smoother and more supple. It also quickly gets rid of any dry or winter skin itch. I also find that in winter, when I get wind burn, or flaking skin around my nose or at the corner of my lips, a few dabs of aveeno lotion will fix that up in a day or two. I also dab a little bit under my eyes at night and let it sink in as I sleep. -
