I was born with a severe egg allergy that requires me to carry an epipen and be very careful with what I eat. Growing up it was obviously pretty difficult, especially with desserts. I could never eat cake, or most other baked goods. My parents always bought me a DQ ice cream cake for my birthday, because I could actually eat it, and I absolutely love them. Still to this day, I have one every birthday. I love the fudgey, crunchy layer, I love that the ice cream isn't overly sweet. I have to be a bit more careful now as there are a few new additions with extra components that I can't eat, but the original is still okay. For a girl growing up with a severe allergy, it was like heaven to have an option! -
