I am fortunate enough to have a Dairy Queen within walking distance from my house. It's not a full restaurant, but just an ice cream shop. I always order Peanut Butter Parfait, my childhood treat. This time around I decided to try a Blizzard, cotton candy flavor. A blizzard is a cross between slightly melted ice cream or a very thick milkshake. You know, the type of milkshake so thick you can't drink it through a straw. It was full of little nuggets of different color cotton candy. The desert wasn't overly sweet which for me was a bonus. The only thing I didn't love about the Blizzard was the price. McDonald's McFlurry is much more reasonable and comparable product. Also, they always have promos during the summer. Dairy Queen has no value menu for their desserts, although most stores do have a daily special at lower cost. If you don't mind paying the price, I would absolutely recommend. It is delicious -
