I am very interested in using natural/chemical free beauty products. I liked the idea of trying a solid shampoo bar, mainly because I have heard they last a long time, therefore it's a good value for your money! Initially, I was wanting to try the Dr. Peppermint, but it was out of stock, so this was a close second. The first time I tried the bar, I was somewhat satisfied. It seemed to lather up alright, but I wasn't blown away. The second time however, was just frustrating! My bar was stuck in the little tin, so I had to lather up while it was glued to the bottom of the container. I went back to the store and they suggested it turn the tin upside down so it is easier to remove and use. I did this, but I am still unimpressed with the product. I would love to use their bottle shampoo, but unfortunately, the price is just too steep. I will stick to Dove. -

My review covers my experiences, as well as those of my friends at Freshii. I have been an occasional customer at Freshii for years (since back when it was still called Lettuce, and served only salads). Despite their extreme facelift, I don't think the experience has improved or worsened.
Salad: Every time I decide to be creative and create my own custom salad, I get scared away by the extensive list. Don't get me wrong, I like options, but there are almost too many! Whenever I go to Freshii, I usually opt for a chef created salad. Yesterday, I chose the protein salad (because I was feeling sluggish and it was one of the cheapest things on the menu). The salad was packed with toppings, and it tasted very good. It also came with a piece of flatbread, which tasted a bit like cardboard, but that was just a freebie. The only thing I would change about the salads is an option for a smaller portion, and an idea of how much dressing goes on. I ended up tossing quite a bit of my salad since it was too heavily dressed, and I was full!
Burritos: Although I haven't tried them myself, while in my company, a friend picked one up and reviewed it for me. She commended Freshii on the price and serving size (cheaper than many burrito places and more that enough food). However, the overall flavour and enjoyment of her meal was lacking. She noted that it was essentially a grilled wrap with rice in it. If you are looking for a true burrito, you are better off going to Burrito Boyz.
Overall, my impression of Freshii is good, and I will continue to go there and try new things on their ever so extensive menu.

Of all the sunscreens I have used, this one takes the cake. Sure, spray ons are much easier and quicker to apply, but are you really ensuring yourself protection against the sun? The consistency is a bit on the thick side, but its smell and feel make up for it. It doesn't give you that greasy feeling that some sunscreens do, nor the grainy/sandy felling. It smells sort of like coconut and pineapple (delicious!).
On the packaging, we are assured it is non-comedogenic (will not clog your pores, therefore it is safe to use on your face!), hypoallergenic, dermatologist tested, waterproof, and non-whitening. It does not however, specify if it is tested on animals. However, at around $10 for a 180mL bottle, you really are getting bang for your buck and I would recommend it to anyone I know.
