I was quite curious to see how this sponge/blender would work as I tend to be a sponge fan and use one almost daily over bushes. That said, I was surprised at how little this sponge is. Not only is the handle short, but the sponge itself is fairly small. The texture is also quite dense, so you don't get the pouncing action you would with other makeup blending sponges. The sponge does work with the Dream Velvet foundation texture, but you have to work quite quickly as the foundation begins to set before you can get it fully blended. I like this sponge better with other formulas, but it's the best for apply concealer as the small shape can easily get in under/around the eyes. Overall, the sponge is okay, the handle is a nice feature, but not a must have.

I initially wasn't sure if this foundation would work with my drier skin type, as matte finishes can be too drying or emphasize dry patches, but it applies quite well over prepped skin (moisturizer and primer.) I like that the texture had a creaminess that easily applied and blended without much effort. The formula sits quite well on my skin and doesn't settle into my pores. The finish is matte, but not flat, and I find I don't need powder to set it or through out the day. The foundation wears nicely without getting dry or disappearing on skin, which is great. I do think the price is a tad high for a drugstore foundation though, especially as this is packaged in a squeeze tube.

I was immediately drawn to this flavour because I happen to love coconut and mango, but I wasn't so sure the two would mix well with dark chocolate. I was totally wrong, it's perfection! The dried, sweetened mango pieces and coconut give the bar a tropical vibe that is so tasty. I love that these bars are made of eally quality dark chocolate, but are priced lower than most comparable quality bars. I'll definitely be purchasing more!

In a house of all adults, these do end up in my grocery cart from time to time, because breakfast for dinner is always awesome. I find that these need longer to cook than the package recommends or they come out too soft, but give them a bit longer and you get a crunchy outside with a fluffy potato middle that is perfect with a bit of ketchup. They're not gourmet, but something a little different to break up the supper time rut. -

Of the three flavours I was most excited about this one because their is little better than chocolate and cherry. While I love the quality of the dark chocolate, I felt the cherry fell a bit short for me. I was expecting something with wore tartness- as the name implies. I found the cherries to be sweeter than tart. That said, the flavour was really enjoyable, and the crisp rice added a nice bit of texture without the added calories of nuts. I love that these are priced lower than my usual premium chocolate bars but are still a great quality. I definitely recommend!

I am a big fan of the Brookside Blueberry Acai bites, so I was really interested in this bar. The verdict? So good! The dark chocolate is a great quality- not too firm, but it also doesn't melt too fast- and pleasantly dark and not too sweet. The dried fruit and fruit flavour is a perfect balance- again, not too sweet. I like the added texture and flavour the almond gives and that the pieces are quite small. The overall experience is really great. You can't beat the price either, as these run cheaper than your usual premium bar but you're still getting high quality chocolate. I'd totally buy these again!

For use as a dry shampoo in the typical sort of way, I don't love this as I find the white cast it leaves can be pretty hard to brush out of dark hair. I do love it for added volume though and a bit of a refresh on second day hair. I avoid using it on the upper layers of my hair (where the cast will show) but use it at my roots for added oomph. I even use it on clean hair from time to time, as I love the bit of texture it gives without being too stiff or rough. -

Batiste was one of the first dry shampoos I ever used, and while I use many other brands, I always like to keep a can of it around. The shampoo is light and doesn't leave any residue on hair or on your scalp, but does work to absorb excess oils. I find it does best when you have time to leave it a bit longer before brushing (3-5 minutes) but it can definitely perk up second day hair. I love the tropical scent (yay for coconut!) and that I can use a ton and not feel too bad as it's really reasonably priced. -

Okay, the whole better skin thing, from just your concealer? A bit gimmicky, but the Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Concealer does work wonders on dark circles and wear like a champ. I've been using the shade 10 Ivory, which is the lightest shade in the range, and find it to be a perfect match for my under eyes as it covers dark circles and is brightening. The concealer has a light, liquid-cream texture that blends well and looks quite natural on skin with pretty good coverage. It's not quite full, but it does work very well to conceal under eye discolouration without looking cakey or mask-like. Application is your basic doe-foot applicator, which works fine to dab it on. I follow up with a brush (or finger) for blending. I do experience creasing if I don't set it, but I've found when set with a translucent powder it wears really well. -

While I like this mascara, it's not without it's faults. It does give length and volume to lashes, but I find the formula can get clumpy very easily if you try to build it up. The formula is also a bit heavy on my lashes, so I find I loose curl (a definite bummer.) I've found I don't love this mascara on it's own, but when paired over a waterproof mascara, it's perfect. I can use less (to avoid clumping) while the waterproof mascara holds my curl. -
