I got a mini tube of this along with a Lorac palette and didn't really think much of it. I was going to toss it my sample bucket, but decided it was worth a try, and am so pleased I did. this is a really great primer! It holds shadows in place all day without creasing or smudging, and keeps colours vibrant. The primer is clear and only requires the smallest amount, so a little tube lasts for ages. It's also a great primer for brows, as it holds brow product in place well too. -

Take the concept of foundation, box it up, wrap it in brown paper, and put it in the corner. You won't be needing it, because Hylamide Photography Foundation is in a category all of it's own. While foundation, in it's typical sense, covers up your flaws and troubles, this gem of a product blurs and improves without the pigments. Photography Foundation is a clear-ish product with a light watery texture. The 'foundation' applies as the last step in your skincare routine as a stand a lone product, or primer for makeup. Think of this as a filter for your face. The product is essentially clear, but it does have a soft, white-gold radiance that gives skin a certain je ne sais quoi while blurring the appearance of large pores (can I get a hallelujah?!) and making skin look more even and smooth. The effect in person is subtle, but visible, but really becomes evident in photos. We all know photography can emphasize imperfections that don't show as expediently in person, but are amplified in photos. This truly does soften and blur those common areas. A truly unique product that is worth trying! -

I know a lot of people rave about the CG mascaras, but I've never been that into them until I tried this. I picked up the waterproof version and oh my, it's kind of amazing! My lashes are fairly long, but lose curl really easily and a lot of mascaras end up pulling them down more, but this holds a curl remarkably well. The effect really opens up my eyes and I live that I get a good amount of volume and length from this alone. Love it! -

LA Splash has three ranges of matte liquid lipsticks: Lip Couture, Smitten Liptint (with Harry Potter shade names), and Studioshine Lip Lustre (with Disney princess shade names.) From what I can tell, each range is quite similar, all having a long-wearing matte formula. The shades I chose are from the Lip Couture and Smitten Liptint Mousse collections. Both formulas are quite similar, but the Smitten Liptinit Mousse is a bit thicker and more mousse like, while the Lip Couture has a thinner texture.
I was quite impressed with how pigmented the shades are- one pass and you're pretty much good to go! Plus, the matte formula is so easy to wear. The finish is completely matte, transfer and smudge-proof for hours (think all day) and doesn't dry out your lips. The formula doesn't add moisture, but doesn't leave you with sandpaper lips either. Application is quite easy, as the tubes have a slanted, doe foot applicator that works well to line lips and fill them in neatly. I love the shade section and will for sure be adding a few more to my collection!

I'm not a devout user of face wipes, but after receiving a package of these (for review purposes) I am a major fan! I love that the solution on them is incredibly gentle but effective at removing makeup. The wipes are saturated enough that they really can remove the bulk of my makeup and save me a re-cleanse. The packaging is worth noting as well, as the snap closes really securely, meaning this won't dry out before you get to the last wipe. -

I received this curtsey of the Chick Advisor Product Review Cub (thanks!!)
I have dry skin from my nose to my toes, and while I'm no stranger to an array of foot creams, my feet still get dry and are prone to callusing. Not pretty. While I have tried other foot filing devices (Ped egg, Emjoi Micro Pedi... etc) the Amope is far superior. I find that the filing head just seems to cut through all the dead, dry, skin so much easier (and faster) but does so while still being completely gentle. There is no need to apply much pressure as the device does all of the work for you. I love that the rotating head is completely open (unlike other designs that have a more covered design) as it allows you to easily reach any angle on your feet (even flat spots.) The design fits in hand nicely, is weighty, but not too heavy, and is easily cleaned. Overall, I'm a major fan of this and my feet have never looked better!

I received a sampling of Baroness chocolates from Chick Advisor. One of the flavours I was able to sample was Mocha Krunchay- how cute is that name?!! Mocha Krunchjay has a base of dark chocolate that is home to coffee, toffee, almond and sea salt. It sounds like a lot going on, but it comes together quite nicely. The toffee is more like a sponge toffee and gives the bar a great crunch. The salt and coffee flavour was quite mild, but still detectable, and gave the bar that something unique. The dark chocolate is exceptional, as it never comes across as too sweet, and is the perfect home to the sweetness of the toffee.Overall, this is a great bar for dark chocolate fans and the quality ingredients (fair trade, organic, and handmade in Canada) make it well worth the price. -

I received a sampling of Baroness chocolates from Chick Advisor. One of the flavours I was able to sample was Aiyaaa! The name totally gives me a Miss Piggy vibe, which, come on? how can you not love that? The bar is a darker type of milk chocolate filled with almonds, a little sea salt, and creamy butterscotch. I wasn't sure about this bar as under normal circumstances, don't like butterscotch, but this is quite mild, and more like caramel. While this bar wouldn't be my first choice to purchase again as it's a bit sweeter than I normally go for, it's definitely a great treat when sweet is what you need. Also, the quality ingredients (fair trade, organic, and handmade in Canada) make it well worth
the price.

I received a sampling of Baroness chocolates from Chick Advisor. Of the flavours I received, Subversive Squirrel was the one I was most excited about a I love dark chocolate. This bar certainly doesn't disappoint as it's deep, dark chocolate that is just sweet enough and not the least bit bitter. he bar is also home to peanuts- although my bar didn't seem to have many- and peanut brittle, which was kind of like a sponge toffee. The brittle and nuts gave the bar some added texture, but wasn't too crunchy. Overall, this is a great bar for dark chocolate fans and the quality ingredients (fair
