I received a selection of Baroness chocolate for review from Chick Advisor, and of the varieties, Love and Blessings is the simplest, but simple done so right! It combines half milk chocolate and half dark chocolate to make for a really nice, sow eating chocolate that 's not too sweet, but still totally satisfying. I tend to go for dark chocolate most often, but the Baroness milk chocolate is such good quality- and not as 'sugary' sweet as some brands- that it I could see myself opting for it again in the future. -

I received a selection of Baroness chocolate bars to review from Chick Advisor and I think Dob Dobs might just be my favourite. While I love caramel, and I love chocolate, it's not often that I eat them together as most bars are just too sweet, but Dob Dobs is perfect! It has the perfect blend of semi-sweet chocolate filed with lightly salted caramel and pecans. The caramel is incredible and you get quite a lot in the bar. The bars are a little pricier than your average, but for chocolate lovers, it's totally a worthwhile splurge because the quality is really superb. It's also great knowing that quality, organic ingredients were used and that you're supporting Canadian business. -

From the first glimpse of this palette, you can't help but think chocolate. The metal palette is deep chocolate brown and shaped to look just like a big bar of the wonderful stuff we all know and love. Upon opening it, you not only get a glimpse of the sixteen shadows, but you also get a bit of the natural cocoa scent. I was a bit on the fence about scented shadows, but it's not a strong or artificial scent and is light enough that it shouldn't be bothersome to anyone.
The palette is fairly standard size, but not too weighty considering the metal case. The closure is magnetic, which closes pretty securely but feels like it could open if dropped or jostled around with other items. You get a generous sized mirror in the lid and an accompanying Glamour Guide with three eye looks to help get you started. I quite lie the booklet as it' really nicely illustrated and gives three options that are just that little bit different than what I would have created.
As for the shadows... they're stupidly amazing. That pretty much sums things up, but if you want more details I could probably go on. The shadows cover a range of finishes with satins, mattes and shimmers, with almost every one of them being a smooth, ultra-pigmented dream. The mattes are glorious smooth and pigmented and apply as easily as the satins. The shadows are on the soft side, and as such do kick up a bit of product, so a light hand is best to avoid fall out and keep the palette clean.

I love the Vichy Idéalia Life Serum, so I was all over the idea of a BB cream too. The Vichy Idéalia BB Cream is formulated with an 'Anti-Grey' technology that uses pink corrective mineral pigments to perfect skin- you know, illuminate, correct tone, all that good stuff. That same 'Anti-Grey' technology also works under the surface of skin, thanks to the active ingredient Kombucha. Kombucha works to not only increase radiance, transparency, and clarity of skin from within, but it also reduces grey tones and increases pink tones which in turn leaves skin looking fresh, youthful, and really, who doesn't want that?
I've used quite a few BB creams- I fall on the like side of the BB spectrum, btw- and have found they tend to fall into two categories. The more skincare type, and the more makeup/foundation type. While Vichy's does give some pigment and coverage, it's more skincare in nature. It does work to even skin tone and blur minor imperfections, but the coverage falls on the lighter side. I love how it illuminates skin, and is quite hydrating, but do need to use concealer or a powder foundation in some areas for that little bit of extra coverage. The finish, however, is amazing- it's natural skin, but better, with a brightened look. Basically, your skin, but so much better.

Vichy ProEven Night takes off where ProEven Advanced Daily Dark Spot Corrector left off, as the night version is a supped up concentrate. ProEven Night works to not only diminish dark spots, but it also works to resurface skin leaving it smoother and brighter. Like the original ProEven, the night version is formulated with Vitamin C, Cerimide Bright Complex and LHA- but, it has 3x the amount! The interesting aspect to ProEven Night, is that in addition to using it as your typical spot treatment, you can also use it as a mask by applying a thick layer and leaving it to absorb for about five minutes and tissue off. As a mask, I use this once a week but it's especially great when my skin is looking dull as it gives skin such a boost.
While you see the most change after a few weeks, there are immediate results- which you can't help but love- such as waking up to a brighter, smoother, resurfaced skin. Over time, I noticed spots reducing and my skin-tone looking more even. I find any blemish tends to leave a pretty predominate mark on my skin (that lasts way longer than I'd like, too) but if I apply this as soon as the spot starts to form it starts to fade much quicker than if untreated.

Serums have become on of my favourite items inn my skincare routine since you're essentially get a concentrate of ingredients. Vichy Life Serum is a great serum as it works to correct a multitude of skin issues, and is made to suit absolutely everyone. Any skin tone, skin type, and age can benefit from this serum- even those with sensitive skin as it is hypoallergenic. This serum works to prevent/undo some of the damage skinis put throuh on a daily basis, while leaving your skin looking and feeling brand new. Most products take at lest a few uses for me to know what I think about them, but the first night I applied this, I knew it was love. It was a "how have I lived without this" moment from the first use.
The serum itself is a milky, pearly white- it contains red and golden toned pearls 'allowing for ideal colour of skin to flourish'. The texture is light and it absorbs into skin with ease leaving nothing but radiance. While I can't help but love that this absorbs so quickly and cleanly- no shiny serum face!- I might love the scent even more. The scent is light, and slightly sweet and floral at the same time. It's calming and refreshing all at once.
While this is moisturizing- normal skin types can use this alone- I use it under my moisturizer as I tend to have dry skin. As I mentioned, I loved this from the first use, but it was with continued use that I began to see results. After a week or so, I noticed that my pores didn't seem as noticeable (a major victory!) and my skin looked brighter and more even, and the texture was smooth, plump and healthier looking overall. Overall, this is one amazing product! I love it for so many reasons, but the fact that the results were visible so early on and that this will work for absolutely everyone top the list.

I received a sampling of Baroness chocolate bars from Chick Advsor for review, with Tantric Tiger being one of them. With a base of semi-sweet chocolate with almonds, cranberries, and sea salt, which sound lie it could be pretty tasty, but I didn't love it. I can't pin point why... I think it's the salt. The semi-sweet chocolate is amazing, a great choice for when you don't want something really sweet, but I think it was the salt didn't work for me in this combo. I've enjoyed other varieties from Baroness, and would repurchase them, but maybe not this one. -

I received a sampling of Baroness chocolate from Chick Advisor as part of the Product Review Club, and have to say testing chocolate might just be the best thing ever! Especially so, when it's as good as Baroness. The first bar I sampled was Tummy Rub, which is a deep-milk chocolate filled with a chocolate cookie crumble. First off, this might just be the best milk chocolate since... ever?! I don't mind milk chocolate on occasion, but I tend to prefer something darker, but this milk chocolate is just that- a bit darker and not as cloyingly sweet as your average. The cookie crumble in the centre is a nice addition too, as it's deep and cocoa -y and gives the perfect amount of crunch.
While the price is a little higher than your average chocolate bar, I feel like you are getting it back in quality, and I love that the brand is based in Canada along with being handmade. I would totally purchase these again for myself and for gifts- they're that good!

This shampoo is very popular, and while I don't tend to fall for overly hyped products, I totally did and picked up a very small, very expensive bottle of shampoo. Bumble & Bumble Sunday Shampoo is essentially just a clarifying shampoo that you are meant to use once weekly as it's formulated to rid hair of residue, hard water minerals, and pollutants. All good things, and I guess it does that, but it's just nothing all that special to me. Yes, my hair felt clean- as it normally does when washed- but that was about it. It didn't do anything more than that, and it especially didn't warrant the large price tag. While I love a little bit of high end beauty every now and then, this one just isn't for me. -

I normally go cheap on my shampoo and splurge on an expensive conditioner/conditioning treatment because I find they work so much better on my hair. I've used drugstore deep conditioners and masques and until now have never found one that gave my hair enough hydration, but this butter (as they call it), is well worth the space in my shower. It's thick and holds well on wet hair. I get quite annoyed with masks that are thin and don't stick to wet hair; how am I supposed to keep it on for 3-5 minutes when it's sliding down my back? Back on topic though- it's thick, it stays on hair and it really gives hair a hydration boost. It does take a few minutes to get out of hair, but the extra rinse time is worth it. Once hair is dry, I can see a visible difference- hair is softer, shinier and just looks healthier. It's very similar to much more expensive masks- this really reminds me of the Kérastase Elixir Ultime mask. Love in a little orange tub! -
