While there is no denying that a Clarisonic is an investment, but it's something that does do wonders for skin if you find yourself with the opportunity to get one. While I don't use mine as frequently as I did when I first bought it- I now only use it 2-3 times a week- it has made major changes in my skin quality overall, and how my skin acts when it breaks out. Prior to using my Mia, I would get deep cystic acne, and while I do still get the odd one (usually brought on by hormones and that lovely time of the month), they're much less frequent and less severe. My skin texture has changed- it tends to be dull and generally uneven- but it's now much brighter, smoother and my intense patches are pretty much a thing of the past. Overall, this is a great little gadget! -

Oh, my! My skin has taken quite the shine to these little pads. So much so, that I just started a paragraph with 'oh, my!' Anyhow, these pads, which are soaked with a formula of AHA, BHA and a host of skin loving extracts and the like work to chemically exfoliate skin all while being gentle and kind on all skin types- even you sensitive types.
I didn't expect much from these until I'd used them a while, so I was impressed when I began seeing results after just a few nights use. Along with exfoliating my skin, these worked to firm skin and reduce the visibility of pores (amazing!) After a few weeks use, I'd say that these have made a noticeable difference in the overall texture of my skin- it's softer and firmer feeling- and seems to be that much brighter and clearer too boot.
One downside to many pre-moistened pads, is the fact that they either dry out too quickly or lack enough moisture to begin with, but the tub these are housed in seals tightly to keep moisture in and they were fully saturated from the start. I can't see them drying out anytime soon. Okay, a second downside, is that these are fairly pricey, but are comparable to other similar products and do work well.

Toner is something that can be pretty hard to review, as it's something that doesn't always feel like it's making much of a difference on skin, but Stila Undercover Conditioning Toner & Moisture Prep is different. For starters, it's a thicker toner, with a syrupy texture (but without any stickiness) that feels more like a serum when applied to skin. It works to nourish skin with conditioners to do more than just tone skin. It hydrates skin while also performing a whole host of anti-aging wonders and is alcohol free (unlike may toners.) I found this toner to be immediately hydrating, as it sinks into skin leaving it feeling softer, and feeling ultimately clean. I quite like to use this after I've used a mask, as it feels really nourishing, and soothing on skin. Unlike most toners, which don't really feel like they've done anything, this does seem to leave skin brighter and as mentioned, smooth and hydrated. -

I always get excited when Philosophy rolls out limited edition holiday scents, because they always come up with amazing scents and their formula is pretty amazing too. It can be used as a shower gel, shampoo and bubble bath, although I tend to only use it as a shower gel and lasts for ages as you only need a small amount to get a pouf full of foamy suds. The Spiced Gingerbread Cookie scent is a sweeter take on Philosophy's classic Gingerbread man and includes spicy notes of nutmeg and cinnamon and a creamy sweetness. Who wouldn't want to lather up in that, right?! And, if you're feeling peckish- what with the scent of cookies wafting about- you can even whip up your own with the recipe on the bottle.Overall, you can never go wrong with a Philosophy 3-in-1, but this is scent is particularly great -

Clarins is all about matte for Fall, with six cream to powder shades that are a dream to apply. The texture is super silky, but dry feeling, and apply best with fingers, but still blend out with ease. The shade I've been using is Nude Pink, a pale nude with a touch of a pink undertone. I found this to work quite nicely as a shadow on it's own, but it does begin to crease a bit by hour six. When worn as a base, it lasts pretty much all day without budging. On me, the shade doesn't give a lot in terms of actual colour, as it's quite close to my skin tone, but it does give a brightened, perfected look. -

The effect is subtle when used as a mask, almost too subtle for me, but would be a great option for those with sensitive skin. This shines brightest when used as cleanser though. Over continued use, I found my skin did look brighter, more even and felt smoother. The cleanser is very gentle, and doesn't really lather- it's free of parabens, sulfates, and phthalates- but cleanses skin thoroughly without leaving it dry or stripped.

I was terrible about remembering to take my vitamins before these, as it's pretty easy to remember to eat two gummies a day. These have a bit of a chalkiness, but most gummy vitamins do, and otherwise taste like candy. I like that these have a good blend of vitamins and are a great price for the size of the container compared to other brands. -

I take Biotin for my nails, which are normally pretty decent, but every now and then get a little bit delicate and peel. Biotin helps strengthen nails, hair and can even improve skin. I find that when I am taking biotin, my nails are less prone to peeling and breaking and grow faster than when I'm not. An added bonus to biotin is that it is also used in the body to help convert carbs into glucose which helps the body product energy and in turn can help speed up metabolism- never a bad thing if you're trying to loose a bit of weight. I like Nature's Bounty biotin in particular, as their pill size is large enough that you only need to take one a day, yet the pills are still quite small. -

Cinnamon capsules are just that- capsules filled with cinnamon- but they're an easy way to get more cinnamon into your diet. While there are a lot of different reasons to take cinnamon, my main reason is that it works to regulate blood sugar levels and prevent spikes and lows and in turn help with weight loss. It also is full of antioxidants and aids in digestion. Cinnamon also helps with PMS symptoms in that it can reduce mood swings and cramping. While I initially started taking it to prevent blood sugar spikes, the fact that it's eased PMS symptoms have been the best reason to keep taking it. The pills are on the larger side, but they're soft and easy to take, plus the have a cinnamon taste. I like this brand as they have bigger bottles and are so reasonably priced. -

I gave this a "You Betcha!" because it's not a bad product, per-say, but at the same time, it's not perfect. Firstly, if you're expecting something that will give coverage that is comparable to traditional Asian BB cream, you're going to be disappointed. This BB performs much more like a tinted moisturizer, as the texture is fairly light and not as thick and creamy as a true BB. The coverage is quite light and not all that buildable, but I quite like the light coverage because it is enough to even skin tone and blur imperfections while being quite hydrating. It's a great base to use with mineral powder foundation or on days when you just want skin to be a bit better but not completely made up. -
