I received the shade #06 Plum, and it's a gorgeous metallic purple with a smokey gray undertone. The pencil creamy and smooth to apply and blend as both shadow and liner, but I prefer to use it as liner. Why? The glitter. I can totally get behind glitter every now and then, but this has a lot of glitter in it. So much so, that this shade just wouldn't be wearable for most day time uses as shadow. When used as liner however, this is pretty much perfect as the shimmer is less intense, but still gives a little something something to eye looks. I found this wears really well, as it sets nicely and doesn't crease throughout the day. When applying it, you have plenty of time to blend it before it sets- I found a finger worked best to blend edges, as a brush made the glitter stray to places I didn't want it- but once it is set it stays there until removed. Overall, great as a liner, just a bit too glitter for me to use as shadow unless I'm using it for a night look.

So, these are super cute and smell amazing. They give lips a little bit of a tint and are lightly hydrating. They're perfect for on the go as they do the trick in a pinch and as mentioned give some glossy shine, but won't replace a proper balm as they're quite lightweight and don't do a lot to actually care for lips. -

I've only tried one shade from this range- Sunset Romance a coraly-pink- but I absolutely love the formula. It has a balmy feel with a glossy finish and a nice bit of sheer pigmentation. While the colour is on the sheer side, you can easily build these up and get a bit more colour without the product feeling heavy on lips. The formula is comfortable on lips for a few hours- these only last about 2-3 without reapplying- and have some hydration. -

Budget eyeshadows don't always sound like the best idea, but you really can't go wrong with Essence Metal Glam shadows! They're cute little mono shadows that look quit glittery/shimmery in the pan- and they are, but they have a glittery overspray that comes away after the first few uses. The shadow underneath however, is creamy-smooth, pigmented and straight up gorgeous. They apply and blend easily and wear well all day over primer. My favourite shades are Golden Up! a white-gold shade and Coffee to Glow a golden-coffee brown. -

Can OPI Designer Series ever be bad? They seriously have become some of my favourite shades as they always have some element that is just that little bit more unique than your average polish. I received both of the 2014 shades- Titanium and Tourmaline a sparkly pink- for review purposes, but Titanium is my fave of the two. Titanium is has a blueish-charcoal base that is packed with with various sizes of glitter and shimmer in deeper rainbow shades. The glitter is gorgeous and has a slight texture as it was designed to have the look of polished quartz. -

I received a few products from Amie as they've recently launched in Canada at select Shoppers Drug Marts and am completely smitten with the Deep Cleansing Mask. It's a gentle clay mask that only takes ten minutes to work, but it deep cleanses skin and pores and leaves them feeling refreshed and reinvigorated thanks to the mint and lime in it- it also has a minty-lime scent. It washes off easily as it doesn't dry to a super hard mask, and is the cutest mint green colour too. Love it and the fact that at $12 it's a steal! -

I've tried these a few times, as I've gotten them from the brand for review purposes, and actually have come to be quite fond of them. That said, they're not something I'd use everyday as I do love my nail polish, but for the times when I'm in an absolute hurry but want a little nail art too.
While these do apply fairly quickly, and have no dry time, give yourself a little longer than you'd expect the first time you use these (about 20-30 minutes) Why so long? It takes a bit to fit the nails to your nails and find the best size. Other than that, you just clean your nails with the wipe provided and stick them on. I only wear the short ones- anything longer is just too long- and even find the long ones can be a bit on the long side, but, these can be clipped an filed as needed.
Overall, these do look pretty good on and fairly natural. I love that you can get so many designs and that they're always adding new designs to the range.

Mod About You is a pretty classic OPI shade, yet somehow never made it into my collection. I recently received it from the brand as it's being promoted with the new Pink of Hearts set for breast cancer awareness month. Mod About You is a pale baby pink cream that applies really well- not chalky or streaky- in two coats. It's a great shade, that works on a wide range of skin tones and works for almost every season- wait, is pink ever out of season? Anyway, a great shade for any pink polish fan. -

While I already have enough foundation to beautify a small army, I recently picked this up on a stroll through the drugstore. First off, major applause for Rimmel for giving this a pump. Seriously, are you clapping? A pump may not seem like much in the long run, but it makes using foundation so much easier and faster.
Getting past that glorious pump, is the actual product. It has a light but creamy consistency that applies really well- even on my prone to being dry skin. This does have a form of shimmer or 'light reflecting particles' that look like they might be a little too intense when you see them in the bottle, but on the face they aren't that apparent, and just give skin a little luminosity without being too glowy or dewy looking. Coverage depends on how you apply and how much you apply, but ranges from light to medium/full. I quite like buffing this on for a lighter coverage and build it up in areas where I need more coverage, as this is quite natural looking on skin and builds easily without looking like too much or going cakey.
I found the shades seemed to run a little bit dark in this range, and do suggest going a shade lighter than you normally might- as such, the lightest shade in this range also might not work for those who normally wear the lightest shade available. Overall, this is an excellent foundation!

While this is a rather pricey mascara, I totally love it! I received this from the brand for review, and initially didn't think it would be all that special, but it really does give lashes a TON of length. Now, I love long lashes, but I also need some volume, I want big BIG lashes, not just long skinny ones. This mascara is a great as it does give the best of both volume and length. You can easily layer this up and get bold lashes without having to worry that it is going to clump and give you spidery lashes (see my photo above for an example!) Overall a great mascara if you're feeling a little splurge-y. -
