I couldn't believe just how much stuff they could cram into a tiny little boutique! This place is filled with everything from body lotions to anti aging creams to scented oils (for a diffuser). I happily bought two of the scented oils, some lip gloss and an eye cream from there. It didn't cost me an arm and a leg, but it is one of the higher end boutiques. They are cheaper than Yves Rocher or something similar.
The customer service was absolutely great here, and I'll be replenishing my stock once I run out!

Even though I don't dress in a preppy fashion, I have purchased skirts or a dress from there before. They aren't really overpriced per se, but they are still expensive. Some things are cheaper than others though which works for me. Sometimes the staff seems stuck up, other times the staff is super friendly. It all depends on who's working. -

Claires, and Icing by Claires (two separate stores) are the same type of store as Ardene, but they seem to have a much wider selection of merchandise and their staff is most certainly more pleasant. Their prices are decent; I've only purchased a few nailpolishes from there so far, but I find they're worth it. They're not salon quality, but that's what my rock hard top coat's for! -

They're no help; if you want something, you have to look for it yourself. A lot of their stuff is "out there" meaning I wouldn't wear it, and their makeup isn't good quality. I think I've purchased a hat there, and I buy hair accessories from there when I see something they like. I don't go out of my way to stop there; it's just not worth it overall. -

All I can say is, WOW. This store knocked me right off my feet.
It is a candle store, so if you don't like candles, this store is DEFINITELY not for you. It's literally all they sell.
They have every scent you can imagine. I went in there since it opened up recently in the nearby mall, just to check things out... they have three walls of several shelves each, of candles!!! I bought myself three votives and a three-votive holder. The saleswoman was really nice and she suggested I buy the holder because I can burn all three at once and combine the scents. She recommended certain scents (two strawberries and one vanilla, or two vanilla and one strawberry is the most popular) and let me take my time browsing. I went home quite the happy camper! I came back three days later to buy three more votives, the service was so good.
The holder was around 8 bucks, and each of the votives were a buck each when I bought them. What a deal! If you can find one, go there! I know they have a website, but I have no idea what it is offhand. Do a quick google search to find your nearest one, or to go to their main website. You won't be disappointed.

I haven't really had a problem with Garage's service! Their associates are always friendly, and though there aren't always people covering the changerooms, they're still super friendly when they're there. Garage usually has my size and the store looks very well stocked.
The prices are a little steep for my liking; I'd like to see them come down by 10-15 bucks per piece. A shirt is typically anywhere from 20-35 dollars, and jeans are usually 30-40. That's not bad, but I like my sales! I do shop on their website a lot more than I shop at the store, mainly because it's a bit of a trek to get to the mall - I'm on the other side of the city! Their online services are great. I receive everything I order within a week, and if it doesn't fit I can either return it online or go to the store (which I do because of the shipping costs).
Overall, their merchandise is good quality, but I'd steer clear if you're over 25. You can find clothing that's appropriate for 25-30 year olds, but that's pushing it.

Great price, but you get what you pay for in most cases. I used this a few years ago so I can't remember the actual name of it, but it was in a similar bottle to the Cover Girl Clean line - same shape, different label. I hated it... honestly. It just caked. Everywhere. That's probably why it's now an "old" brand!
Even places where foundation usually doesn't cake on me, like my cheeks, was cakey. It covered my dark circles well since it was medium to full coverage, but it's definitely not what I was looking for in a foundation. My skin did stay matte so the "oil control" part of it worked, but it's not worth the purchase.
I recommend the new cover girl lines of foundations... I've reviewed two of them and either is a great choice!

First off: Thank you to Chickadvisor for allowing me the opportunity to try this product!!!
I liked the feel of the product going on, it was a very cool sensation and made it feel like my undereyes were instantly deflating. In reality, my undereyes did NOT deflate that quickly, though they did eventually - it took an hour or two after I got up for them to deflate to a reasonable appearance. I don't think the cream in this eye roller did that, but I do know that it's made my undereyes noticeably softer. My makeup goes on smoother now because of it!
I was hoping the eye roller would help with my dark circles too... it seems to have helped a tad with continued use, but it hasn't done enough for others to notice the change. Maybe if I continue using it twice daily as the package states it will improve my dark circles more... they have improved some, but it's a very small amount. I'm happy it's improved them at all even if it was a small amount; that's better than a lot of similar products out there!
I don't like the price of this product; from what I understand it's about $20 for the roller, but it seems like it would last me the better part of the year so it might be worth it after all, depending on whether my dark circles improve significantly.
I loved the fragrance... it was very natural, floral and soft. The roller was very easy to use and the cream dried within 30 seconds, so I didn't have to delay putting my makeup on.
Overall I like the feeling of it but I probably wouldn't recommend it to a friend (unless I see a marked improvement, and if I do, I'll update!) only because there are cheaper brands out there that seem to work better.

What I didn't like was the greasiness I felt... I'm very particular about products. I don't like if I feel an oil slick after I put it on... and that's what I felt with this one. I put on some powder after and it was much better, but I don't think I could wear it by itself, without the powder.

No problem - I had a quick fix. I still had concealer, so I put that on first and layered the Cover Girl foundation on over top. I didn't even need powder - it left me with a nice, dewy finish which wasn't too shiny! This foundation lasts all day and washes off easy with soap and water. Perfect! I couldn't have asked for anything better for $7. I think it works just as well as a high end (read: Chanel, Dior) foundation.
I do have eczema on my cheeks, and unless I put moisturizer on first, foundations usually intensify it and make it stand out. I skipped moisturizing just to see how it would hold up, and because it's made for sensitive skin and it's a sheer formula, it didn't make it stand out at all. Everything blended in so well!
