I really like this stuff! I haven't bought it yet because I'm still finishing up the rest of my Suave shampoos and conditioners (I've reviewed this stuff before too if you care to check it out!) but I received the free sample in the mail and LOVED it. As I've mentioned before, my hair is a lovely mix of wavy and frizzy... but this stuff tames it down really well. If you use too much of it, it is oily... so you do need to be careful. But, using only a quarter-sized amount and working it throughout your hair well, I find it makes my hair really smooth and manageable, and it has a nice scent (bonus!). The price is 6.99 at drug stores I believe, which is pretty awesome for a conditioner that works this well! -

This is a weird review for me. I tried it because of my sleeping issues, and it did work, but just a little too well.
These pills have a nice minty taste, and you're supposed to let one or two melt under your tongue (don't swallow them!) for them to work. They do work within a half hour, just like the bottle says... I woke up feeling rested, even though I still woke up periodically (and remember doing so) for whatever reason. That didn't matter too much because I was rested.
I gave up on taking these because I had wicked dreams - they were so vivid and scary I just couldn't take it. I was also very forgetful; I usually put my phone in the drawer beside my head, but my mind was already so "asleep" from the pills even though I was still awake and moving around that I put it in the wrong drawer and forgot where it was the next day. I spent two hours looking for my phone and couldn't remember for the life of me where I had put it (and honestly, my memory's bad, but it's not that bad). I'd never done that before, and since I stopped taking them I've never done it since. The melatonin really messed with my head and I wouldn't recommend it again, though it does work for some people.

As an avid tea drinker, I'm a little embarrassed to admit I'd never had camomile tea before this week. I had mentioned my sleeping problems to a regular customer of mine (we talk about anything and everything, so it wasn't a weird conversation for us!). She suggested I try camomile tea, since it has relaxing qualities and should help.
I really like the flavour of it. It's very light and floral, and has a warm, happy yellow colour to it. The instructions say to leave the bag in for about six minutes... the first time I had it, I left it in for that amount. For a stronger tea I left it in closer to 15 minutes (I totally forgot to check the clock and time it) but it wasn't overpowering at all. It was still nice and light.
I've bought teas from the President's choice brand before, and they're not expensive at all. They're under ten bucks, I'm pretty sure, for a pack of 20 sachets.
It did relax me, and it wasn't a "Bam you're relaxed now" feeling. It was very gradual so I didn't feel a crash or anything. I slept for about the same amount as I always do, so it didn't help me sleep longer, but I woke up feeling more rested and alert. I'm thinking that was the tea's doing since I didn't do anything else differently! Either way, it helps me relax even if I don't want to use it to fall asleep. I recommend taking a breather and relaxing with a hot cup of camomile tea. No milk, no sugar, just the clear tea.

I "liked" the facebook page for Dove haircare, and found that there was a promotion going on and that they were mailing out free samples of the new conditioner. My hair is super frizzy and I use a frizz-controlling cream on it most of the time, but this conditioner did the trick. I stepped out of the shower and let my hair air dry after using it, and my hair was sooooo smooth and soft! It's like a hot oil treatment for your hair without the heat! Beware ladies, I haven't tried this, but I know some people have - it's not a leave-in conditioner! Wash your hair as usual, put in the conditioner (I even put it on my roots, but just a little), and let it sit for a minute. Then, wash it out and you're good to go! I learned from my hair dresser to always leave just a touch of conditioner in your hair - don't wash it out all the way so that it can help combat frizz. It takes a bit of practice, because for the first while after doing the trial and error thing, my hair was either too clean with not enough conditioner, or too conditioned (i.e. I left too much in). Practice makes perfect.
Anyway, since I got it as a free sample I have no idea what the retail price is, but I'm positive it's sold in a drug store so it's probably ten bucks or less. Like their page and see if they've got some left! It's super amazing.

I went to the Lazy Bug to get some bubble tea a few years ago. I had never had it, so I wanted to try it. I realized that tapioca is an acquired taste, but after the first time of not liking it, I had it again and liked it. It certainly grew on me.
The second time I went, I also had the dumplings and loved them! Since then, I've had their meals which consist of a choice of meat, rice and vegetables. These meals are around $7, the dumplings were $4 and the tea (large with tapioca) was about $3.50. Price is great, and there are many flavours of tea. They also serve hot tea and iced coffees; I've tried the chocolate flavoured coffee which was excellent! It was a bit much coffee for me, but I did get a large instead of a small. Great way to get your caffeine kick without the bitter taste of coffee.
The service is usually good, though they are kind of slow (understandably) at peak hours. Sometimes the language barrier gets in the way, but it's manageable.

Visiting this restaurant was honestly the worst experience I'd ever had. I've written a review about Sushi Jade and its horrible service before, but this was just bad.
There was no sign when we got there to tell us to seat ourselves, so we stood there for at least 5 minutes before the waiter told us to seat ourselves. So, even before the luncheon began we felt stupid. Then we looked at the menu and saw some things we thought we might like. I ordered the mango salad (which was pretty well the only good tasting thing, according to my friends! I didn't try anything else...). I also ordered the bubble tea, which I figured would be only slightly flavoured, as most places tend to do. Wrong! It was sickly sweet. My boyfriend ordered the orange juice and it was also sickly sweet... I tasted it, and there was more sugar than juice. Awful!
Anyway, we ordered vietnamese sausage, pad thai, a stirfry, dumplings and another stirfry type meal along with a side of shrimp on sugar cane. Half of it didn't come with the rest of the order... I guess it was forgotten because we had to remind them and they had no idea. The stuff that did come took a really long time to come out. Thankfully mine was supposed to be cold! When they brought everything, no one told us what was what so we pretty well guessed. The sausage looked like sliced tofu, and of course not knowing what anything was, no one claimed it. We all tried a bit of something (except for me, my boyfriend and my best friend who all knew what we ordered - pad thai, mango salad and dumplings). The only thing that was actually good (apart from my salad) was the price. I would have been quite upset if I had to pay anything more than the ten I paid for poor quality food and service.

Well, let's start on a positive note. Starbucks baristas are very friendly and helpful, even when it's the middle of a rush. They do have healthy options like the protein-spiked smoothie, for only 200 calories or so (it comes in banana orange or banana chocolate, and I think there's a new strawberry banana) and even their non-healthy options taste great. What I don't like is the coffee's taste... It's so bitter, I can't stand even a little unless I have it mixed in something like their protein smoothies I mentioned or the frappuccino. It's also a little too expensive for my liking, but they do raise funds for good causes which wins me back. Even though it's expensive, I'll still go for the customer service and the good tasting food! It's where I go if I want to hang out or browse the internet away from my family. -

I don't quite like the new baristas, and because Tim Horton's hires a lot, I meet a lot of those... they're usually high school kids who don't really care about customer service which puts a damper on the whole experience. But, the coffee is godly, and I'm happy they're coming out with more health-conscious drinks such as the fruit smoothies. I love both the strawberry banana and the berry blend.
I love that Timmy's has a wide variety of tea - as an avid tea drinker, I have my favourites and Tim's has 'em all. I wish every Timmy's had the same teas, but that's not the case - some have white teas for example, others don't.
The food is good, but I never really see soups at ALL of the stores, again I wish they all sold the same thing. I'd rather get a soup from the one around the corner from me, on my break at work.. but they don't sell it so all I have for a choice of lunch is a sandwich. Don't get me wrong, the sandwiches are good, I'd just rather more of a choice.

I've only ever been to Coffee culture twice, but I loved it both times. The first time, I had a smoothie and a grilled pesto, tomato and cheese wrap. The smoothie had the right consistency and the wrap was grilled to perfection. Both times I went for a quiet lunch with friends and they certainly didn't disappoint. The second time, I got the ham and cheese melt and a latte. So good! They have the option to seat outside, so on a nice day like today, I would totally sit out there and enjoy the weather. They'll even bring your food over to your table, inside or outside! They sell coffee blends and teas just like starbucks, and they top it off by selling cakes and treats at the cash. Customer service is excellent there! -
