Garnier has done it again! Another drugstore product by Garnier that is as good as, if not better than, similar high-end products! This takes off makeup like nobody's business and it's super gentle on my skin, as it says, there is no scrubbing required. I did not experience any irritation or breakouts whatsoever, it was actually extremely soothing and hydrating to my skin (something I have found difficult to find at the drugstore in the past). It was also very gentle on my eyes (unlike my current eye makeup remover), there was no stinging or burning at all with this. It's like water but magic water, as it erases all traces of my face and eye makeup with a few gentle swipes with a cotton pad. I love that you don't have to rinse it off your face either. Let's face it, we all have busy lives and sometimes I'm too tired to do the whole face routine at the end of or even beginning of the day. This one product ends up serving as your eye makeup remover, makeup wipe, face wash and toner! That's amazing if you ask me! Occasionally, I'll use a makeup wipe first and follow up with the Micellar Water, this way I get a bit of exfoliation with the wipe and the Micellar Water makes sure that I've removed all traces of makeup on my face and I don't even need a toner, I just follow up with my serums and moisturizers. It even says you can use it as your face wash in the morning, which is great because it's so quick and effective and saves me so much valuable time! I can even see traces of what built up on my skin overnight on the cotton pad. Another winner from Garnier!
ps. The bottle is huge and will last a long time. I think the price is right too!

wow! I am very pleasantly surprised with this moisturizer! I was not expecting this product to perform as well as it does. It seems like the drugstore products are really stepping up their game. Being in my 40's, I rarely consider the drugstore for my moisturizers anymore but this has me thinking again. I have combo/oily skin that is very dehydrated, acne prone and reactive so it can be tough to find something at the drugstore to meet all of my skins needs. This one did not disappoint, it actually went way beyond what my expectations were.
This product is a light gel consistency and has a very slight but pleasant fragrance. It penetrates right into my skin but also leaves a protective layer of product on the surface of my skin, making my skin feel hydrated all day long, literally until I have to wash my face before bed. The result for me is super soft skin that is normally rough from the dehydration. On days where I am not wearing makeup I can't stop touching my skin ( I know I shouldn't but I just can't help it), my skin just feels so youthful to the touch, plump and hydrated is how I would describe it. The fact that it keeps my skin plumped and hydrated all day long has me really blown away!
I find this moisturizer does double duty as it works great as a makeup primer too. When I don't wear makeup it improves the look of my skin like a primer would and reduces the appearance of my pores. And, when I do wear makeup it helps my makeup go on better, look smoother and more perfected as it's already helped with the appearance of texture issues, dehydration, and pore size.
I did not experience any breakouts or bumps whatsoever and I found this moisturizer extremely soothing to my skin, no stinging or burning like some gel moisturizers. I think this would be suitable for sensitive skin types. This is a gem from the drugstore. I probably would never have stopped to look at it since I didn't have high expectations for it but this is as good as, if not better than similar high end products that I have used. Garnier has my attention and has me looking at the drugstore once again. I would definitely recommend this product!

I love my beauty oils, so I was really excited to be selected to try this product in exchange for my honest review. I have used beauty oils from the spa as well as health food stores. After trialing Lipidol's Overnight Face Oil, I see no reason to pay big bucks for a beauty oil! This product is just as good as any other oil I've tried and notably better than some. Many of the beauty oils that I've tried are just a single oil, with this product you pay less money and the product contains several types of skin loving oils plus other ingredients that are beneficial for the skin!
You only need a few drops of product to cover your entire face and neck. It has a lovely but very subtle scent, I think it's the Ylang Ylang that I love. Unlike some other beauty oils, this one does not just sit on top of the skin, some of this product is definitely absorbed by my skin (as I am not left feeling like an oil slick), and some of the product stays on top of my skin acting as a protective barrier against moisture loss. I love to layer this oil on top of my serum and moisturizer, I have also added the oil to my moisturizer and applied it that way, either way works well.
My acne prone skin has not had any bumps or pimples whatsoever from using this product (it is non-comedogenic just like the cleasing oil in this line). My dehydrated skin no longer feels dehydrated! It plumped up my skin by locking in my serum and moisturizers and increasing the moisture level of my skin which successfully got rid of my winter dry patches and dehydration. As a result my skin is now super soft and supple and looks younger!
I'm so happy to have found such a fantastic beauty oil that is not only accessible but super affordable. And, it's made by the makers of Bio-oil! Thanks @chickadvisor #tryLipidol I am really a fan of this line!!

I received this product for trial in exchange for my honest review. Chick Advisor is killing it lately with all these great new products, and this one is no exception. I am thrilled with this cleansing oil! It dissolves all my makeup with ease. I was able to massage my face, neck and eyes with no irritation whatsoever, It is actually very soothing and has a subtle but pleasant scent. It also left my skin super soft! I have used many oils to remove my makeup and this one worked better than all of them. How do I know this? when I followed up with a toner or micellar water soaked cotton pad there is hardly any makeup left at all compared to using my other oils to remove makeup. I was surprised by the step where you add water and it emulsifies which further helps to remove makeup and grime.
This product is chocked full of good ingredients! It doesn't contain a single oil but several different ones, which collectively do a fabulous job in removing makeup and dirt and grime. In my opinion it works just as well as any high end product that is similar. I have used oils from the health food store and the spa and this is as good if not better! I am so glad that Chick Advisor chose me for this campaign and introduced me to this product. It works, it's accessible and it's so affordable. I just read somewhere that it's made by the same company that makes Bio Oil.

I received this product in exchange for my honest review, and I am I ever glad that I did. I am very grateful as my previous Matte foundation clung to dry patches on my combo/oily but dehydrated skin, but Maybelline's Dream Velvet foundation did NOT! I would say it Is medium coverage. On a regular day, I usually use a BB cream or light foundation and this had more coverage than my current products, which I am very happy about as it perfected my skin wonderfully for a medium coverage product, I didn't really NEED concealer or powder. One day I used the foundation without concealer and powder and the next day I used it with both concealer and foundation and I found it could be used either way. This product evens out my skin tone so much that I feel confident about the way I look with just this foundation on it's own, great for a day of just running errands for a quick and simple look.
What I really love about this product is that it does not look like foundation on my skin, it looks like your skin only much much better! It completely got rid of my unsightly pores as you can see in my photo! It had a matte finish without clinging to any dry patches (unlike my previous matte foundation). It smoothed and evened out my complexion and covered all of my redness and most discolorations while still looking natural. When I look at the photos that took (provided in review) with one side of my face having my usual BB cream and the other side with Maybelline Dream Velvet Foundation (neither side had any powder or concealer), you can immediately see that my pores are gone on the Maybelline side. Also, my skin looks tighter and younger on the Maybelline side, which I was not expecting but I was so excited about, like really excited!!
The foundation did not break down during the day. I was out and about and did the "car test." I kept checking in my car's mirror throughout the day to see if there was any product breaking down or dry patches and Maybelline Dream Velvet passed with flying colours! I had a bit of shine breakthrough after about 5 hours, but I did not look greasy, just had a bit of a healthy glow. I am combo/oily so I do normally have to touch up my T-zone from time to time, it just comes with the territory of my skin type. So far, this has been the best drugstore foundation I have tried. The way it obliterated my pores and made my skin look younger and tighter has me hooked! These are the aspects of the results that I am most excited about, as well as the fact that it looked like skin. I am not one who likes to look like I am wearing foundation. I am actually going to toss my other brand of matte foundation that clung to dry patches like crazy no matter what I did. I'm so happy to have this in my life now- so easy, so natural, and I look younger with it on! Yes, I'm excited!! Note: picture on left is BB cream alone, no powder or concealer. Picture on the right is one thin coat of Maybelline Dream Velvet Foundation, no powder or concealer. I hope you find this review and picture helpful.

This was my first experience with Brookside Chocolate. I eat dark chocolate everyday because I love it and also for the health benefits. I find Brookside's dark chocolate bars to be of high quality with a nice smooth texture and not overly sweet nor are they bitter. I love that the combinations of chocolate plus fruit and superfoods that they have created, and that they add an extra kick to your chocolate bar, health wise and flavour wise, so it's far from your typical chocolate bar. This bar was delicious, but I found the flavours less distinctive than some of their other bars like the blueberry and the mango ones. I am really curious about what other flavours Brookside offers in their dark chocolate range now.. I want to try them all! I polished off all 3 bars in 1.5 days! I would love to try a Brookside dark chocolate bar that is chocolate/coconut where you really taste the coconut. This bar was rich and smooth and had just the right amount of sweetness. I am a huge fan of dark chocolate but not all dark chocolate is created equal. I consider myself a bit of a chocolate connoisseur since I eat some everyday. This was definitely a high quality chocolate that was rich and smooth without being too sweet or heavy. The added flavour from the blueberries and Acai just made this bar superb. It was my favourite of all the bars I tried from this brand. It's nice that the added ingredients are healthy and add some more nutritional value, dark chocolate already having great health benefits. I loved this bar and would eat a bar a day if I could! -
