Mineral makeup has been all the rage for the past few years. These products are said to be better for the skin because they are made with natural minerals and most are non-comedogenic so they don't clog the pores.
Recently I was lucky enough to try Orglamix Mineral Eye Shadows. These eye shadows are 100% organic and provide luxurious color and coverage and are valued-priced. The range of colors that they offer is just jaw-dropping. In the Mineral Eyes category they have over 100 products listed ranging from the palest, most natural colors to bright vivid hues.
I prefer my makeup to be very natural in color and tone so I selected the Espresso and Teak colors as my first dip into Orglamix products.
When the products arrived and I opened my package I was a little worried. The eye shadows looked very dark and shimmery and I thought they were going to be too intense for my taste. I went ahead and gave them a try and was very surprised. The products went on beautifully and with just the right amount of color. Another benefit I found was that the color really lasted and didn't crease or fade. I like the fact that just a tiny bit of this product will go a long, long way.
To be honest I didn't expect to like these products as much as I do. I have already returned to the Orglamix store and scoped out the next colors I want to try!

I kept reading about Tarte Cheek Stain and everything I read RAVED about this product. I finally broke down and purchased my own and I am so glad that I did.
I was hesitant to use a gel cheek color because I just didn't think you could control the color like you do with a powder blush but I was WRONG. This water-based gel stays "workable" on your face and allows plenty of time to blend and perfect the application.
The results are VERY natural and so flattering. Your cheeks light up with a subtle and natural flush much as if you were blushing or glowing. I found that it really brightens my face and is such a sheer, luminous glow.
The color seems dark in the container but do not let that scare you. The product goes on as a very light tint. If you are looking for a more intense or deeper color you can layer the product by adding additional applications and the color will grow stronger.
You can easily apply the products with you fingers and the warmth from your fingertips will help the product to blend. If you don't want to use your fingertips, you can apply with a sponge or foundation brush.
Other things I should mention - the smell is wonderful...and the product is alcohol and oil free so it won't dry your skin nor will it clog your pores.
Initially the price may seem steep but you will use so little product per application that one tube of the stain will last you forever!

I was thrilled to get a free bottle of AmLactin from website that I am a member of and I anxiously awaited for the delivery of my sample. After hearing many positive things about the product I was ready to jump in with the testing.
Overall I was very disappointed with this product. The first thing that struck me was that the consistency of the lotion was thin and quite runny. I also found that the scent was unpleasant during application and that odor lingered on the skin afterwards. This product is definitely NOT unscented as I have read in some reviews. I would describe it as a light medicinal scent. The lotion also left me hands extremely sticky and tacky feeling. I fought the urge to wash my hands after apply the lotion thinking that I needed to give it a chance to work but there were several times I gave i because the feeling was just too gross.
After using the product for a couple of weeks I really haven't noticed a difference in the softness or moisture level in my skin. I used the lotion on areas that are extremely dry and rough - such as my heels and elbows - as well as on other areas that are less dry but I cannot tell a difference.
I normally use Gold Bond products and they work very well. I think I will stick with those product for not.

Gold Bond lotions are WONDERFUL. I have spent so much money trying to find the perfect lotion..you know something that isn't too greasy or that won't leave your hands sticky. Well Gold Bond lotions (any variety) fit the bill perfectly.
I like the Gold Bond Ultimate Soothing Skin Therapy Lotion with Chamomile but any of the other varieties of Gold Bond are just as good. I no longer spend money trying to find a good lotion. I don't think there is anything out there that could beat Gold Bond. Here are a list of features for the Gold Bond with Chamomile:

This lotion goes on nicely and absorbs quickly. It doesn't leave your hands feeling oily or greasy nor does it give your hands a sticky feeling after application. The scent is nice and light and it doesn't smell clinical. The scent is appropriate for men or women. I have found that this product is wonderful on areas that tend to get extremely dry such as elbows and feet. Continued use will keep those areas soft and moisturized but you will also notice a difference with just one application.
The cost runs around $8.00 for a 13 oz bottle but that will last you a long time. This product is well worth the money!

Rene Furterer Acanthe Curl Enhancing Leave-In Fluid —
I have hair that is naturally wavy and tends to frizz a bit. I have struggled to find a good product that will control my frizz but won't leave my hair looking greasy. Rene Furterer's Acanthe Curl Enhancing Leave-In Fluid has nicely fit my needs.
This product is lightweight and helps to provide body to natural curl while at the same time helps to control frizz and volume. The secret lies in a combination of natural ingredients such as Acanthus extract and avocado oil. Another plus is that the product has no sulfates and no sodium chloride.
The product comes in a pump-type bottle and the fluid has the consistency of a facial cream. The scent is very nice and has notes of fig, plum, jasmine and others. The smell is pleasant and not overpowering.
A little of this product goes a long way so don't over apply the product! I have medium-long hair and use only 2 to 3 pumps. You should apply it to towel dried hair and use your fingers to shape and style your curls or waves.
The final results? Your hair will be tamed, frizz-free and extremely soft to the touch. I do not think my hair has ever felt softer!
This product retails at about $26.00 for 3.39 oz and I find that to be rather costly. I don't use this product every day but just on those days when the humidity is very high or for special occasions when I want my hair to look extra nice.

I hate, hate, hate mascara that clumps and leave lashes feeling sticky or gummy. This product has never left me feeling this way.
I tend to get a lot of compliments on my eyelashes. They are very long and pretty lush. A lot of times people think I am wearing false eyelashes when all I have on is mascara. Still, this does present a problem. Most mascaras - especially those that promise volume - will leave my eyelashes feeling heavy and gummy and sticky. Lashblast Volume completely avoids those bad feelings. My eye lashes were nicely defined, darkened, and just thick enough. The look is very natural but still dramatic enough to see a difference. I also liked the fact that my lashes felt soft and supple - not stiff or sticky. This mascara also is great at resisting smudging and smearing and doesn't flake.
The tube is thick and chubby so it feels a little different in your hand. It does take some getting use to but the product is still easy to apply.
I think you will like this product.

I recently purchased an Acer AX3300-U1322 (PT.SBX02.013) PC Desktop and have been very satisfied. I am always hesitant when purchasing computer hardware but I was overdue for an upgrade from my earlier desktop - a Dell - which had worked well but was starting to show its age.
The new Acer I purchased is so fast and has all the features that I felt like I needed. Here are the details:
* 2.6GHz AMD Athlon II X4 Quad-Core Processor 620z
* 4GB DDR2 SDRAM Memory
* 1TB Serial ATA Hard Drive
* Microsoft Windows 7 Premium 64-bit Edition
* 16X DVD _R/RW SuperMulti Drive
* 9 2.0 USB Ports (5 Front/4 Rear)
This is a slim, compact computer that is perfect for small, cramped quarters. Even though I have plenty of room, I appreciate the smaller size as it allows me to place to computer right on my desk rather than on the floor. This make access to the ports, DVD drive, etc. much easier.
Set up was very easy and didn't present any problems. It does come with some trial offer software and other programs that aren't needed. You will probably want to spend a few minutes cleaning these things up when you go through the setup process.
My biggest complaint with the Acer is the blue power indicator light. It is rather large and wraps around most of the top and some of the side of the computer tower. It is a thin strip but when your computer goes into sleep mode the light blinks and it is bright enough to be a distraction in a dark room.
My only other complaint is that the DVD drive is an upright, slot style and it will not run the mini discs that some smaller electronic devices use for their drivers and/or installation software. For example, my Philips MP3 player came with the installation software on a mini-disc and I had to figure out a way to get the software onto my new computer in order to access all the MP3 features. There are a few different ways to work around this problem so it isn't a huge negative but I thought it was worth mentioning.
Over all this is a nice computer with lots of storage and plenty of speed for the average home user.
NOTE: This is a review for the actual computer.....monitor and other peripherals were not included in my purchase and thus are not included in this review.

I am a fan of Joshilyn Jackson and really enjoyed reading her other works (Gods in Alabama, Between , Georgia and The Girl Who Stopped Swimming). I am a huge fan of southern literature and southern authors so her work is right up my alley. That being said, I was rather disappointed in her latest novel, Backseat Saints.
Rose Mae Lolley Grandee is the central character. Rose Mae is beautiful, smart and suffering through an abusive marriage. I found this character to be frustrating and. in a lot of ways, very unlikeable. At times Rose Mae was the beaten-downed wife who was nervously waiting for the next outburst from her husband and at other times she was the stunning sex kitten who could get what she wanted from any man by batting her eye lashes. In either case she wasn't a character that appealed to me.
There were times as I was reading the book that I found myself wondering if I had picked up a different book by mistake. The storyline took some strange and erratic turns that really didn't add to the plot or character development. The last few chapters seemed rushed and awkward to me and I felt it was an unsatisfying conclusion.

I have been using this product for years because I love the flavor. However, the primary reason I use the product is for the light, tinted color. The lip gloss leave a slight tint to your lips that is universally flattering. It really just enhances your natural lip color.
The product has a creamy, moisturizing application that most people will find appealing. It is nourishing to your lips without being too greasy.
This is a product that young and old will appreciate!
