I purchased the Dare Real Fruit Biscuits Strawberry with Yogurt. There are 6 bars in each pack. Each bar is 90 calories. Purchased on sale at Food Basics for $2.49. Can purchase at Walmart for $3. Yogurt coating on the top is fairly thick. Want to try the apple one after trying this one - very delicious. Dried strawberries throughout. There are a lot of strawberries in this bar so you get the sweetness and real fruit flavor. Sugar on the bottom of the bar looks like crystals. Sugar provides a nice texture and contrast. It is mildly sweet this bar and nice and fruity. You get the vanilla yogurt flavor. Crumbly, crispy and crunchy. This tastes like a poptart, only a healthier version. It is super delicious. Reminds me of strawberries and cream. Nut free bar. Smells like strawberries and cream when you take it out of the package. Strawberries are mildly sweet and have a bit of a cranberry taste to them - a bit tart. Base is a crispy and crumbly dough that tastes like a pastry. -

These are very high quality treats with the perfect sweetness. These macaroons are high quality, so they have a nice crunch as well as a light and airy feel about them. I love the crispiness of the shells but then the softness and sweetness from the icing inside. The shell is chewy and soft with a crunch from the top. Taste tropical ; cream inside tastes like white chocolate buttercream-- coconut with a hint of pineapple. This overall tastes like pineapple and coconut; does justice to pina colada label. When eating it I feel like I am having a pina colado-- only in food form. Cute soft yellow coloured shell. -

These are made in Italy and can be purchased from HomeSense. There are two delicate meringue shells; elegant cookies which are held together by a sweet cream/custard in the middle. When you bite into a macaroon, you get the nice crunchy texture from the shell but the softness from the cream. The inside of the shell is soft and light. This flavor has a prominent berry taste- raspberry or strawberry-- mild not sweet. Milder in taste than some of the others, like mojito. Thick cream tastes mild-- has mild hint of berry but not overly strong or sweet. -

I purchased an assorted pack of macaroons from Winners for around $15 at Christmas. These treats are made in Italy and gluten-free! Each macaroon is made up of 2 delicate meringue shells which are held together by a thick cream in the middle. These cookies are elegant and a very nice treat. The macaroon shell is soft and cripsy with a nice crunchy as you bite into them. The exterior of the shell is crunchy but when you take a bit it melts in your mouth. The cream is smooth and not overly sweet. There is a sweet lime flavour in the shell which is strong & delicious. The cream inside is thick-- tastes like white chocolate with natural hint of lime. Chewy and soft shell. Cute vibrant green shell to match the flavour. -

I purchased an assorted pack of macaroons from Winners/Home Sense around Christmas. These macaroons are 70 calories each and made in Italy. You can taste the high-quality! A macaroon has 2 crunchy soft shells and in the middle is a thick cream. The shells add a nice crunchy texture and the cream adds a delicate smooth texture. This macaroon has a good sweetness to it. The filling flavors and shell flavors differ based on the flavor combination. This smells like lemon. It has a nice vibrant yellow shell to match the fruit. Less sweet than other flavours because citrus cuts through the sweetness; mild lemon flavour-- not very strong and not sour at all. The flavor is very natural - like a lemon candy that does not have that artificial aftertaste. This reminds me of a lemon gelato flavour. The cream has a lemon flavour; cream is stronger in lemon taste than shell. -

I purchased an assorted pack of macaroons from Winners/Home Sense around Christmas. I am so glad I did because they are delicious!! These are Gluten-free and made in Italy. Each macaroon is 70 calories. A macaroon has 2 crunchy soft shells which have a nice soft texture when you take a bite. There is a thick cream sandwiched inside the shells. The cream is smooth and adds a nice sweetness. Macaroons are generally sweet. I love the texture contrast because you get this nice crunch when you take a bite and then the macaroon dissolves in youth mouth. The cream also adds a nice texture on your tongue because it is so silky smooth and buttery. This particular macaroon has a cute green colour to match the flavour. Almond extract taste comes subtly behind the pistachio flavour; marzipan taste. Tastes like an Italian dessert-- like Italian Pistachio gelato. Cream has pistachio taste. -

A macaroon has 2 crunchy soft shells (fluffy when you bite into them) with a layer of thick cream sandwiched inside the shells. The filling is a white chocolate custard/ganache type filling. The custard is creamy and luxuriously smooth. The textural contrast is amazing with the crunchy shells and smooth filling. There is a strong berry/strawberry flavour that is not artificial tasting. This has a nice natural fruit flavour. The shell is sweet and there is a wonderful strawberry yogurt taste. This dessert reminds me of strawberry shortcake/Lindor Strawberries and Cream truffles. When the bar is heated it loses a lot of its birthday cake taste but there is still a vanilla flavor and some sweetness. These bars can be purchased at Walmart in a box of 6 for approximately $7. This is a cheaper protein bar option, compared to others on the market (Quest, OhYeah!). This bar is 190 calories. In terms of nutrients, it contains less fibre and protein compared to some other bars, but still has a good amount of protein (20g) as well as 10% of daily required calcium and 6% fibre. The bar is coated in a thin layer of Greek yogurt. The inside of the bar is made of a vanilla base with plenty of dried strawberry pieces throughout. Textually, it is chewy and dense, with the dried strawberry pieces adding a nice light bite and sweetness. When the bar is warmed in the microwave for a few seconds, the sweetness of the vanilla and dried strawberry pieces really come through. When heated, the berry taste is very pronounced and the bar as a whole tastes like you are eating strawberries with whipping cream. When the bar is unheated, the berry flavour and sweetness of the overall bar are toned down-- with the Greek yogurt coating also tasting blander. The taste of protein powder becomes noticeable. -

The wafer cookies is is soft and melts in your mouth. The cookie also adds a nice crunch and texture contrast to the smooth cream filling. These cookies are made with real cinnamon and it does come through because the flavor profile is very natural. This is a nice dessert with a good sweetness to it. This tastes like a cinnamon roll filling and even the texture of the filling is the same as you would find in a cinnamon roll with the butter and cinnamon-sugar combination. -
