I am just visiting in Winnipeg and normally get a CND Shellac manicure at home every two weeks. I knew that I'd need to get them done while here and did a search for a place to get the same type of manicure. I chose Nails#1 specifically because their website stated that they are a registered Shellac Salon. When I checked their website two days ago to verify the price and get their phone number in order to set an appointment, it said that Shellac manicures started at $20. Apparently they have since changed the prices on the site. Now it states that Shellac nail treatment is $20 and a manicure may be added for $10 more. I was charged $39.95 and felt as if I was on an assembly line. My nails were filed unevenly and even though they state "A Nails #1 Exclusive: To protect our clients, New Nail Files Buffers are used for each of our clients. " the technician doing my nails used an already used file, one that had nail color on it that she retrieved from another station. The woman at the station beside me had difficulty explaining to the technician doing her nails what she wanted done design-wise due to the communication barrier. I will be needing to get my nails done once more before heading home during this trip. I definitely will not be returning to this place. -
