Another one of my purchases this year looking for a particular colour trend, but it's been so long since I've worn lipgloss for so long. I was after a matte lipstick in a purply/pink colour, and although this is not specifically matte, it is close. Overall the wear is fine, I like the deeper colour - Divine Wine - I also picked up a lighter variation from Maybelline. -

I haven't worn lipstick in a long time, preferring lip gloss, but I got very caught up in the recent resurgence of matte lipstick and was in the market for the purply/pink colour of this summer - named Lilac Flush. The cosmetics person at Shoppers pulled this out initially and i did wait until it went on sale. The colour is great. It's light, not matte specifically but not glossy or shimmery either, but the overall wear isn't fabulous, as I find myself reapplying a fair but and usually I don't have to do this with gloss so much. -
Picked this up for about $3 as an add on for my home pedicures. it's a two ended tool with a round end, different details on each end. The idea is that you can great designs on your mani/pedicures with the tools. I think it takes a steadier hand... +

The idea is that you can great designs on your mani/pedicures with the tools. I think it takes a steadier hand than I have, but I did manage to make a little flower on my first try. The suggestion that you can do lines etc will take some more practice. -

This Ideal Life Serum came as part of a well packaged, generous sample from the Chickadvisor program. It was an unexpected inclusion with the Idealia Skin Sleep. I generally use serum, preferring a hydrating serum as my normal to oily skin is very dehydrated and I didn't find this serum hydrating enough. The product is lightly scented, you don't require a lot, as one pump seemed to cover the face well. My only pet peeve was that the serum was opalescent, which I suppose is done to make it appear that your skin looks better 'already', but I always wonder if the added ingredients that are used to make the opalescent effect won't cause irritation. Overall, when combined with the Skin Sleep product I found the system to lack the hydration I required. -

It's not often that I use the same moisturizer two nights in a row preferring to go between at least two different options. Currently one is a vitamin C moisturizer the other is a hydrating formula, although i will throw in a facial oil from time to time. Anything with too many active ingredients can irritate my skin, which is the reason for this mixing of products. This preamble is leading up to that, while trying out this new Idealia product I did try to use only the Vichy moisturizer and serum generous samples provided by Chickadvisor, but after about 5 days I found my cheeks a little tight and had to throw on some Aqualia Thermal Night Spa (also a Vichy product) to combat the tight feeling.
Was the tightness brought on by irritation due to overactive ingredients or that the Skin Sleep just wasn't hydrating enough for my overly dehydrated skin? Not certain. However in my day to day I wouldn't normally wear the same moisturizer night after night.
Does my skin look better? It's definitely plumper and I only had one breakout from trying a new product, and that was after about 7 days of (mostly) continuous use. Overall my skin responded well, I didn't see enough hydration for my tastes, which lead to that tight feeling in my cheeks. The promotion suggested a mild scent that assisted with relaxation. There was a light smell that dissipated quickly, which was ideal for me as I'm not a fan of strong smell.s
I've been a casual Vichy user over the years, trying products, using them until completed and then moving on into a other manufacturer. And I will probably do this again. I'm not entirely convinced that this product has made a huge difference to my skin as my cheeks want more hydration. It's been lovely to get to try new products, and I have to say this particular sampler came in a lovely box, and was packaged neatly.

Got this as a sample and the first thing I noticed was how strong the 'coconut' smell was. I don't know when everyone decided this was the smell every lotion should have but I find it overwhelming. I put some on my legs and hands and really didn't find that it relieved that tight sensation. I think I'll stick to whatever is on sale this week, which is usually St. Ives or Vaseline. -

I've tried other types of this product as well as normally take Vitamin C during the winter and allergy season (spring for me), and they all seem to be the same but what makes me certain I won't purchase this is the price. 30 doses for about twice the price of a bottle of vitamin C, which would give you 50 doses, to get the 1000 mg dose. Yes I know there's other items in the concoction, but I do get those in my daily vitamin. -
Pocky has changed owners a few times over the years and from time to time they seem to mess with the formula, but it tastes again like it used to. Love these little treats. Just have to be careful not to eat the bag in one go.

Another chocolate that between the Swiss Chalet Festive Special and the 90's I've just eaten too much of. I also find the chocolate tastes a little waxier than it used to but still a nice treat every once in awhile, provided they're on sale.

I really do like Lindt chocolate, and they make some chocolates with a hint of flavour, like the sea salt or hot peppers, but I do wish they'd make their bars thicker. I personally find the thin wafer style a little less than satisfying to bite... +

I personally find the thin wafer style a little less than satisfying to bite into. I usually end up putting one of these on each person's christmas gift. -
