Smarties marketing just resurrected the 'Do you eat the red ones last?' jingle!

I very mean friend once brought me this after dental surgery! But it is yummy and a bit hard to find anymore.

I generally eat chocolate and not candy bars but this is one of my few exceptions. But only the original fingers kind. And yes, I'm one of those weirdos who eats two fingers and comes back later for the rest.

Like a lot of people I think I have a bit of nostalgia about these little treats.

I used to love these, but again with the Hersey's chocolate which is not nice. I do sometimes fall for the Skor bits in baked goods or sometimes in ice cream.

I'm not a fan of Hersey's chocolate to begin with, and then someone comes around with one of these and you feel like you can't say no, but i have to learn to just drop it in the bin because Hersey's chocolate is so waxy tasting.

I think I ate too many of these in the 90's, but they're a nice little treat during the holidays. We used to love the clear plastic boxes for our lipstick storage.

For years I suffered with ingrown hairs and ensuing infections no matter how much money I spent on razors. I tried home waxes/sugars and the like and never found that they worked as advertised. They took the little blond hairs out and left the darker thicker ones. - I would have been fine if this had been the inverse. I couldn't afford waxing professionally and I couldn't stand the smell of depilatories and they burned my skin a bit. Then I found the Epilator.
My first was a cheap, and on sale version and it worked decently but I ended up trying a slightly higher end version, this Philips and find it does a very good job. First off, very few ingrown hairs. It takes some getting used to, as it is a pulling sensation and when you let your hairs grow long (like over winter) the first time again is a lot pinchy. Don't believe the marketing that says you don't have to do anything for 4 weeks because that's not how body hair grows. But as opposed to having to shave every day in the summer I find I can go a day or two. You won't get a perfect shave and for some reason I always miss patches on the outside of my calves, but I catch them when they grow longer, but the big bonus for me was that I'm not covered in little infected nicks and red spots from shaving.
If you're brave you can try on your armpits but it does take some getting used to, but once the hair grows back it isn't blunt so it doesn't poke so much.
I've had this little unit for several years now. I use the little brushes they include to clean it out from time to time, and when I dropped the plug and the plastic case popped open I just used electrical tape to keep it back together, which is all sorts of elegant I know, but it was a lot less expensive than a new unit!

For awhile loose powder wasn't easily available and this was suggested to me because I find pressed powder doesn't go on as lightly as I'd like. I see now that this is discontinued so fortunately I've found an ELF product I like just as well for a 1/3 of the price. As a loose powder this worked find, but at over $30 a jar I found it expensive, although it did last. I didn't notice anything particularly special about the product, but I wasn't specifically looking to reduce shine or the like. -

When Smashbox discontinued their tinted moisturizer in Canada this was suggested to me to replace it. I generally don't like a full coverage foundation both in the look and feel. I just want a thin layer to even out my skin over a primer. This works well, it's light in weight and by applying it very thinly you can't tell it doesn't quite match my skin colour, although to be fair to all manufacturer's that's a tough call. And because it's a 40 ml bottle and I don't use much, it seems to last. The only thing it's missing is that 'shimmer' that I had in the SB tinted moisturizer. -
