I've had this palette for sometime. I'm not certain if it's a regular item or if it was a seasonal offering but I pull it out in the fall as it has nice brown, gold and reddish shadows that work well in the fall. the quality is as good as when I bought it and the shadows, which are bubble shaped and not recessed in pots don't seem to crack or chip off. -
i buy these from time to time, but as the colour range doesn't change that much, they aren't my first choice as I'm always drawn to whatever is new this season. if you like the same colour this might be a good line as they don't change often.

I use them once in awhile, but i find that they rarely help the pore to close, just clean it up a bit. Really you're better off to use a buff or a decent exfoliant to get better results. but you have to admit that the wet your skin, apply patch and peel off once dry is dead simple. -

SFYS is exactly what they say it is, boutique bra shop. They fit you, assist you with selection and show you how to wear a bra and will not let you leave with something that doesn't fit correctly, except sometimes during sale season when you are getting a deal, but usually they try not to do this.
If you've only ever shopped at departments stores or mall shops you will have sticker shock, but consider you get getting something fitted correctly, well made and someone to assist you with the process.
Their specialty is 'hard to fit' sizes, but let's face it, with the 4 sizes available is departments stores, this means most of us. I started shopping there about 10 years ago and now don't even bother with any place else. If it's your first time consider calling ahead to book a time. Once you've shopped there for awhile, they'll read you file and the process goes a little faster. For me because I know what kind of bra's I like and the manufacturers i prefer I can shop a little more quickly and with patience their twice annual sales (those do require patience)

Ricki's has been better but they still stand up for a few things. They offer up to size 18 and their sizes are generous, so if you're in that dreaded 14/16 area this is a decent store for you. The prices have crept up over the last few years so you do have to shop carefully to get good value. Suppliers vary so sometimes you get amazing quality and other times you are not so fortunate. Their points program has almost diminished to the point of uselessness, although they oddly the defend it unabashedly, i assume because it gives them a lot of information about your shopping habits, but where as in the past you would get an invite to a 25% off new fashions at the top of every season, you now occasionally get a few more points off a sale.
What Ricki's does well is offer business casual year to year. They always have knit separates, inexpensive suits, sweaters, skirts, outerwear, and polyester 'dress' pants. The occasionally have purses (they're not very good), jewellery, hit and miss, and seasonal items such as sunglasses, scarves and mittens, etc.
What Ricki's does poorly is variation. It's always very similar. They do not seem to be able to make a good cotton pant and I personally find their polyester quite thin (hot in the summer, cold in the winter). The other issue is their locations, based primarily in smaller markets and the outskirts of Toronto. While they do have a good website to shop from, they do not offer free shipping for any amount and you have to pay to return things unless you return to stores.
I've shopped at Ricki's for years and often, now during sales. The quality of items are hit and miss, but overall it is still a go to for me.

As an apartment dweller I love that i can buy a piece for not too much money and then after a few years if it doesn't work anymore or I want a new look, that I haven't invested so much that i feel bad about leaving it on the curb for someone else. i also, admittedly love that I have a project of putting things together. In my opinion avoid the soft furnishings unless you understand the will only last a few years. Great for book shelves, tv stands, cheap barstools, cheap curtains, inexpensive duvets and pillow slips. The housewares are hit and miss. The candles are OK but I always get stuffed up in that section because they are scented. And sometimes they have interesting christmas wrapping and ornaments. What we need to get them to work on is options for delivering items under $200 for less as their standard shipping rate is $60 within Toronto and for those of us without cars this can be an issue. -
I honestly have never been into the lush store because the smell is so overwhelming it burns my nose as I walk by. they may very well make lovely things, but I will probably never know. At TEC I have to hold my breath as I come out of the subway... +

I find each Winner's has a particular thing they do well. You have to have patience when shopping there, particularly when alone and trying on clothes because you can only take so many items into the change room. And if you go in specifically looking for a certain item, forget it. But if you go in, take your time and a cart and pull anything that remotely peaks your interest you will end up with a few 'winners'. I personally love the purses. I find the best options there at a price i'm willing to pay. -

There's nothing wrong with Sephora, but honestly I feel very overwhelmed when in there, I find it crowded and often the staff can't seem to keep up with people messing up the samplers. In the end, unless I have come for something specifically I find myself leaving empty handed. I do find things on their website but I wish the shipping rates were lower. -
